Corrupted files in RAR files.

Hi all
I have recently downloaded SAP Nwetweaver for ABAP. When i tried to extract both the RAR file, i got error saying "setup.jar" files corrupted in both the rar files.
If any one has this file please give me the link to download it.

Well, you might think that. But you would be wrong.
I'm not aware of any unix OS with an undelete function at the filesystem level.
Such things don't tend to work well in a multiuser/server environment where lots of things are writing to the disk in the background.
And trying to guess what the filesystem used to look like is a good way to court random file system corruption.

Problem deploying ear file containing rar file

I am trying to deploy an ear on WAS 6.3 through a standalone application by using Deploy Service( with the help of File Transfer API). This ear contains rar file which has some jars, ra.xml and connector-j2ee-engine.xml. During deployment, the following error message is displayed:

PI 7.3 - Read .RAR Files

Hi there,
I'm newbie at SAP PI, I've never seen it before and I'm in a project where the company hired a PI consultant to make it work for SAP GRC x NF-e (Brazilian fiscal notes). This consultant is showing me what he did here and... I'll need to learn it because I'm going to be the responsible about PI when he finish it...
We have SAP GRC 10 and SAP PI 7.3.
One of requirements from this project is receive a e-mail from other companies, with xml files attached. This xml file sometimes can be within ZIP file, or RAR file... That's the problem: RAR Files.
The consultant did a ABAP Proxy who gets every kind of attachment and extract if it's a ZIP File, using CL_ABAP_ZIP, standard class.
What can we do to make it work to different kinds of files? (.rar, .7zip, etc). I have no idea, but... is it possible to do any Java Mapping, or something like that?

PI 7.3 has capable of processing larger size files.
Questions:
Have you picked EOIO quality of service? Hope you dont do mapping or content conversion for this file?

Firefox will not recognize when I change the settings for .torrent and .rar files to "do this automatically for files like this from now on", EVEN AFTER I change the setting in Tools Options Applications.

Um, why is this? I think my Question pretty much covers it. Is there a way I can fix the settings so Firefox automatically opens .torrent files and .rar files with the programs I tell it to always use?

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't receive a reply to this problem. As far as I can tell, there '''is''' no reply or solution to this problem so far, as I have exactly the same problem too.
One solution that I did try (and which worked, but not for my exact needs) was to tell Firefox to ''always'' '''save''' the torrents to the download folder. Then, in your personal torrent program, change the settings so that torrents from the download folder are automatically searched and added. In this way, torrents are automatically loaded in your torrent program. However, for me, I need to see the contents of the torrent before I download it all, which wasn't possible with this method. If that isn't important to you, this should be a sufficient solution.

Java EE 5 Edition Trial .rar file is corrupt?

Has anyone else noticed that "<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/cfc19866-0401-0010-35b2-dc8158247fb6">Java EE 5 Edition</a>" trial .rar file is corrupt? I get the following errors while extracting the contents, and setup.exe errors out:
"! SAPNWAS_JAVAEE5_T06.rar: CRC failed in setup.jar. The file is corrupt"
"! SAPNWAS_JAVAEE5_T06.rar: Unexpected end of archive"
Also, general feedback for SAP: many companies block the ability to use FTP, which means potential customers cannot download your product...

I don't know if it was a temporary issue or what, but I DL'd the file again Sunday and it worked without issue...

Is there a way to repair corrupted rar files?

i am trying to open a password protected rar file howerver the archive is corrupted. i have tried unrar, file-roller, xarchiver and ark. however they all have different messages indicating something is wrong with the file.
is there a program that can identify the problem or try to recover it?

RAR file is corrupt

It took me a good enough time to download this heavy RAR file which is about 3GB but to my utter shock it came out to be corrupted.
I am no tech but I can follow as step by step solution if anyone can provide in an easy manner. I have already search over lot of internet pages but I couldn't actually relate to that typically technical language.
Can anyone give a comprehensive guide to fix my RAR file or if there is any tool that I can use but it should be more automated.

Corrupted .rar file / incorrect password (help please)

hi there,
i have been sent several .rar video files and usually have no problem expanding them. i generally use Rar Expander and UnrarX. this time however, half-way through the expansion, it always stops, saying the password is incorrect or the file is corrupted. whilst it is being expanded i can watch the file up until the half-way point by locating it in finder. my mate has constantly tried uploading and sending me the file that seems to be corrupted but it's always the same issue. is there a way i can start the expansion after the corrupted file so i can see the other half of the file or expand each file individually. i also have VLC Rar Loader but for some reason I can't open this individual files in this either. please help, i would greatly appreciate.

Consecutive rar files cannot be opened individually. So if you have 10 .rar files, and the 5th one is broken, you can only view items in .rar files 1~4, and parts of 5 if you're lucky.
Sorry, but that's how split compression works. You miiight be able to fix it using some special tool, but I don't know of any that works if the resulting file is supposed to be one giant video file.
In all honesty, you would be better off re-downloading from their origins.

Downloading .Rar files? (always corrupt)

Everytime I try to download a .rar file, it ends up getting corrupted. I'm pretty sure this has to do with the Nvidia firewall that comes with the graphics card. Does anyone know how to deal with this issue?

First of all, you can try the build-in "Compact and Repair" command in Access to repair your corrupt database, you can get more detailed info at:

Problem downloading rar file using HttpURLConnection

I'm trying to read a rar(archiving) file from the Internet using a HttpUrlConnection.
The program seems to work fine - however the download is not the same size as the file if downloaded through a browser.
The archive is 52,332kb when downloaded through a browser
and 4kb smaller when I try to download it.
When I try to extract the downloaded file (with winRAR) the header is corrupt and there is an unexpected end of archive.
Here is the pertinent code.

Thanks ejp. I closed 'buffer' instead - that fixes the size problem.
The archive is now exactly the same size as it should be - but the header information is still corrupt.
When I compared the files using a binary comparison program it
said that the files although the same size were different by approx. 6.7mb out of 53.5mb.
I'm perplexed as to what this difference could stem from; is it the encoding, the charset, something similar?
The underlying file I'm trying to download is an avi if that makes any difference.

.rar file difficulties

I'm able to download some .rar files and successfully use UnRarX to convert them and when converted it shows a file such as "TV-Trailer1.wmv.6"
Then I'm not able to play it. I've tried Quicktime with FlipForMac. I've tried Windows Media Player. I've removed the '6' from the extension. All I get is an error message that reads "Cannot open, not a movie file."

But, if UnRarX is not joining them together properly, then the file will be corrupted and unplayable.
If you get the same result from several different players on the same expanded file, then the next step is to go up the chain one link and either re-expand them or try a different expander.
If that still doesn't work, then you are looking at reobtaining the original archives.
Edit: Try playing the file with VLC. It's hands down the most versatile player.

E:/TempBackup directory from the different environments (remote desktop servers) and i need to delete the current month
.rar files alone from the respective (E:/TempBackup) directory. below is example files structure inside the
E:/TempBackup.
example:

zDROP_2014_09_31_Backups.rar
zDROP_2014_10_31_Backups.rar
from the above list i need to delete the zDROP_2014_08_31_Backups.rar(current month) file alone and also logs should be capture for this deletion.
key words for this are zDROP and Current month and date.
i need a stored procedure for this concept. could you please help on this.

The name of the data-source should match with the value of 'Location' in data-sources.xml
ex: "jdbc/OracleDS"
