Corrupted I-Tunes - Help? :-(

When opening I-Tunes, the following pops up on the screen:-
"This copy of I-Tunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please re-install I-Tunes."
I seen online that someone suggested to right click on set-up and run that program. This would allow you to repair I-Tunes. I have run the programme, the repair part doesn't appear and I just don't seem to be getting anywhere.
What do I do to re-install I-Tunes without losing the content of my library? I have spent years building up my library and I would hate to lose hours and pounds of work. Anyone out there that can help would be a star :-)

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?

I have found a solution for my very special case with very same symptoms. I gave my iPhone 3GS to my son, created for him his own iCloud account (for backup and contact isolation) but used my App Store account, so that we pay only once for all those 190 applications. However, I was only able to install applications from my Mac, but not from "Purchased Apps", which showed blank screen or crashed.
Now I have tried to switch language to English (just for the case, probably was not necessary) and created another iCloud account (same Apple ID as I use for App Store) - I have switched only reminders on.
Now I'm able to see purchased apps, and I can install them. I have even changed the language back to Czech and then disabled reminders for that secondary iCloud account and finally deleted this account altogether. Still I can see purchased apps.
Between the steps that I did I have always closed the AppStore application from the task bar. Lets hope, it will survive restart. I hope the right Apple ID is now somewhere in the Keychain and marked for iCloud usage.

Corrupt Hard driver - Help :(

This is the first time i've used this discussion board, so am hoping there are some clever people out there that know more about the mac than i do. Anyway I've had this I mac 4 years now and it's done me well, very well. However I know have issues I really need help with
over the past 3 month it's seriously slowed down and become very unresponsive, even as I'm typing this the spinning ball appears, it's like it's hard for it to keep up with the average task. I tunes constantly freezes (100g), safari becomes unresponsive I have to force quit, even opening applications file is extremely slow and the images take a while to load. It's become extremely frustrating that am considering replacing for a new one, which isn't cheap
So issues, run disk utility, previously, permissions don't match, directory not found, and now I have the following (invalid sibling link) HD cannot be repaired start up from another disk to repair volume.
I am assuming that the hard drive is on it's way out, I can't find the start up disk to reinstall.
What are my best options, buy a new disk and reinstall leapord, I have a 1T ext hd so backing up my mac hd won't be an issue.
If I back up all the files and reinstall will the hd become corrupt again from the old data??

following on from my previous issue a corrupt hd. Ive done the bold move and reinstalled os x original 10.4 tiger. Wow massive difference to snow leapord.......
So it runs super quick n smootbh UNTIL i tranfer mp3s from my ext hd to i tunes. all ok until near the end and the whole system freezes. Shut down and reboot. All ok. Open up itunes and again crashes. So reinstalled os x again.
My assumption is i must have some corrupt mp3s for i tunes to crassh and the whole os x not responding.
My question is how do i identify the corrupt mp3s. Preferably a quick and effective way. Having 80g of mp3s will not be quick. But is there a app or software that scan the files. Baring in mind the mp3s are not in i tunes yet
Some assist will be much appreciated
Ps. The i mac seems hot on the left side compared to right. Definatly a differencr in temperature. Is this an issue or normal

ITunes.exe - Corrupt File Please help!!!

Every time I plug my ipod into my computer iTunes will open, and in my task bar it will read iTunes.exe - Corrupt File. The File or Directory\iPod_control is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility. Every time I go to click on this it disapears, and it is impossible to restore because iTunes doesnt show it as being plugged in. What can I do? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Issue with corrupted document, need Help !

In our company we use daily Indesign 7.5 (cs 5.5 package) and when we export the .ind document to .pdf the system crash.
Above this the original document (.ind) is corrupted and we're not able to open thedocument.

Thank you, yes, we at Markzware can try to help with your corrupt InDesign documents, for sure.
From as far as we can see when dealing with the odd corrupt InDesign file from time to time, is that it comes down to three main reasons why these InDesign documents have issues:
Font(s)
Image(s)
PowerOutage or Forced Stopped
Fonts can indeed be a corrupt font itself, but also corrupt, over-loaded or otherwise odd-balled font caches. Here is a video on how to clear font caches in InDesign and although for a Mac in this video, I think you'll get the idea on how to do that on a PC as well:
One highly corrupted image can ruin the show for your entire file. Check all images individually till you find the bad one and remove that. Also, more times then I can count, InDesign users drag-and-drop images from a web browser while visiting a web page, right into an InDesign layout. That is a big no-no. Not saying your are doing that, but just covering what can happen in the images category and a bad InDesign file.
As for the odd power outage, well that is something maybe Tesla could have helped us with, but until a time when we are not dependant on AC/DC currents, it will remain a sore point. Power in your cases is likely not the issue though.
Always report issues like these to Adobe though. They can also often help and if not right away, at least they may gather important details to help stop that type of corruption in the future.

Error downloading video (corrupted file) need help

I began to download the new quicksilver snowboarding film "That's it That's All" and when i was about halfway through the download i got an error message pop up saying that the file was corrupted and to choose the "check for available downloads" under the "store" tab to fix it. but after doing this numerous times i still am not able to download the video fully and its stuck about halfway. does anyone know how to fix this?
(by the way, the error report code is 8008 if anyone cares.)

As my brain is not so large than Apple's offices, I join together these reports and the description of some encountered oddities of iWork products used under Mac OS X 10.5.
At this time I don't know which is the wrongdoer but it's clear that the relations between the apps and the OS are not perfectly correct.

Updater freezes. Shuffle corrupted. Please help.

Before I get started I'll try to be clear on a few things.
UPDATER VERSION IS IRRELEVANT. I've tried with three different versions.
ITUNES VERSION IS IRRELEVANT. This is unrelated to itunes.
Short story: Program problem disallowed safe shuffle removal. It was corrupted as a result. I can't restore the ipod because the updater freezes up.
Longer story: Because of program I tried to run off my shuffle and my schools computer setup, things got messed up and when I tried to eject it it wouldn't let me. So I removed it manually. The shuffle got corrupted and was unreadable.
Seemed like a minor problem since I could easily restore the Ipod. I knew I had lost my files but that wasn't too bad. However the updaters all freeze when the ipod is plugged in or if they start while it's plugged in.
Now instead of just getting an error message when I try to do anything with my ipod the computer seems to be treating it as though it were an empty cd drive or something.
I doubt I can fix things. If I can't can anyone direct me to a replacement form and tell me if I've somehow voided the warranty?

I fixed it myself. The restorer was freezing up but apprently there is a third party one.

i am using itunes on my macbook with an external drive
i thought i was pushing the ecject key but i was pushing the key under it it i pushed it a few times then i remembered that it removes tracks from my i tunes
has it deleted the mp3s ?? or will the tracks still be in my folder on my external
also how will i get them back in to the player ?
sometimes when i delete stuff it asks if i want to move the file to the trash it never time

Only one MP4 file corrupt? Please help!

I'm dealing with a weird situation. With the recorder functionality on my Nokia N97 I have recorded 7 clips.
5 of them have an icon of a musical note.
1 has an icon of a filmstrip
And one has an icon of a question mark.
I have copied the files to my pc and all files play except for the one with the question mark.
Googling the internet I read an article about adjusting the headers with a hex editor. That didn't work for me.
The 'corrupted' file starts with

Broken video all i can suggest is copy off phone and try to repair with VLC media player .
Or search one of the AV forums somebody with more AV knowledge may have the answer .

TV Tuner Help

Hi I am in the market for a tv tuner for my 24" Imac..Which would you guys recommend? I am not too computer savvy so heres what I am looking for and any help at all is greatly appreciated!
1. I would love the tuner to be able to receive HD signals (preferably w/o the use of an antenna, I would rather use a cable box or nothing at all if it can get over-the-air hd signals)
2. Minimal Delay for TV and Gaming ( the only game i would be playing would be Madden for ps3 or 360, not sure if that makes a difference)
3. Best picture possible, I just got this Imac (my first mac) and it has a great picture so hopefully that wont change.

The Elgato EyeTV 250 (link) or the EyeTV Hybrid (link). (Elgato's web site is giving 500 errors at the moment so I've linked to reviews instead.) The Hybrid is bus-powered but uses the iMac's processor. The +250 Plus+ has it's own power supply but also it's own processor.
1GB (or even 2GB in the USA) is very cheap but here's how to decide if you really do need more RAM now (link).

Adobe Premeire Pro Installation Failed - Application Manager Corrupted. Please help!

I just recently purchased a subscription license for Adobe Premeire Pro CS6, and tried to download it following the instructions in the confirmation e-mail.   After installing the application manager and downloading, extracting, and installing the program, I received the error message seen in the image below, "Installation Failed - Adobe Application Manager is corrupted and must be reinstalled".
So of course I googled it, and found that this was a pretty common problem, and found one site that recommended re-installing the AAM with the following link:

So I did that too. In addition to restarting my computer, and also tried to download the program directly bypassing the AAM following the instructions on this page:

All of which was unsuccesful.   I've got a video for my Mom's 60th birthday that I HAVE to complete this weekend, and Adobe's support is closed on the weekends. I didn't think installing something from a company like Adobe would be this difficult. Makes me wish I had a Mac.    Can anyone PLEASE help me get Premeire (and Encore) downloaded and installed?

I am experiencing the same exact problem and am unable to resolve it. I've called Tier 1 support (Indian Call Center), and went through all the steps that I have already done myself (as outlined above) with no luck. I'm still getting the corruption error.
I am using Parallels Workstation Extreme and it is being installed on a Virtual Machine. The "Extreme" part of Parallels Workstation allows me to assign a discrete graphics card to the VM. This is uing Intel's vt-d technology for Directed IO. You mentioned above that you had fired up an instance of Windows 7 64-bit and it worked just fine. But for some reason, I am unable to duplicate the same success. The case is now being escalated to "higher" support. Here is my setup:
- Parallels Workstation Extreme VM - Windows 7 64-bit
- Subscription to Creative Cloud
- Clean Install does not work
- Not a part of any domain, just workgroup
- Home PC, so it connects directly to a router and then to Cox (ISP)
- Has direct assignment of a Network card, meaning the network card is not a bridged connection (the VM gets it's own NIC)
- User account is already Administrator, but tried to "Run as administratot" with no luck.
- After install on the clean Windows didn't work, tried using the Adobe Cleanup Tool - doesn't work either
- Disabled all start up programs from msconfig - doesn't work
- Verified that the (.exe) does work, but coping the same (.exe) to another computer and it works.
I would really appreciate any advice that you may have!

My RAW images get corrupted after downloaded HELP

Hey anyone, and if you do not know why this is happening, please pass it on.
attached in an image I was looking at in LR, this same problem has occurred in Bridge. while looking at images all of a sudden part or all of the image goes into psychedelic colors as seem in the lower rt side. anything from a line thru the middle of the picture to the total image with all sorts of mosaics of color this has been happening for may years. a forum told me I had a corrupt card reader, another said something to do with the computer. so to put this in perspective. i have used many different card readers, two different computers. two different operating windows systems. original was XP and new one is windows 7. this image was not copied from one computer to another so it is a new image downloaded into the newer computer. Once in a while when I open the image it reverts back to the image without the wiierd colors in it. If I bring it into bridge the same things happen in corruptions . I have lost images from many years ago in bryce canyon to this issue .
Once the image is saved in a different formate , JPG< PSD, Tiff. etc it never corupts. ONLY the RAW files corrupt and DNG.   for a while I started shooting in both JPG and RAW just to have a back up. two different cameras, many different card readers. many cards. still happening. any help would be appreciated , have not found anything on the adobe forums. if you have no idea could you pass this one to friends , need a solution, for a while I backed up all the images when downloading directly to a hard drive without going thru LR or photoshop just to have a replacement. that just gets crazy to do after time.
As you can see on the lower left there is crazy stuff going on. sometimes it is the total image corrupted.
PS , if the two forums , fred miranda, and lumosity landscapes , do not have an answer, please help me find one. it is horrible to loose images from years ago much less last wk to this issue.
BTW this does not happen on my old Vista laptop, thanks for helping in advance. steve

last option not viable, LR or PS really can not be replaced, I could live
without LR , have had it since version 1 release think 2007ish.   It was
mainly a way to keep track of ones images via search words .    good idea,
since this was difficult pre-digital with tons of negative.
I use it for down and dirty qucik editing to post something on G+ or FB
but not for final editing.   RAW thru PS is where I do that and then into
PS .
If my wife would not leave me I would switch to Mac. not happening as a
hobby at this time. my guess is a freaking RAM issue or operatting system
that maybe when I transfered my images from the old computer to the new I
carried some type of bug with the transfer to the new computer. but that
is reallllly reaching.
Adobe has not been helpful in the least, but that is not new.
you are only one of two people to give some advice, very appreciated and I
am about 98% that your suggestions are correct.

I tunes Help Please

When I try to open I Tunes the following comes up, "the folder i tunes cannot be found or created, and is required. the default location for this folder is inside My music". for some reason i cannot find my music on my computer(used search engine on computer too). Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

i already went through that mess and got the email sent to my computer. it didnt have the password on it, but it had a link to reset it. i did that and it didnt work. but now when i try it, it wont even let me get that far. i get to the apple.com log in screne.
