Corrupted OID entry using oidadmin

Somehow, through the OID Mangers Admin console, we have
managed to "unintentionally" delete the person objectclass
(several times!) from OID V 3.01. There is no indication this
objectclass is deleted until we try to add entries and the
interface gives no indication that you are deleting anything.
In the past version (V2.x) we had the same problem but
have been able to delete and recreate the objectclass to
recover.but the last incident, the person objectclass definition
was not deleted but corrupted...(i.e. attributes were added that
were not supposed to be added and others were not added). Once
this happened, I could not delete and recreate the objectclass
nor remove the incorrect attributes that were already included.
The edit button is grayed out and the delete button is grayed
out.
How do we recover from this? We do not want to have to reinstall
each time or have to wipe out the table and redefine our custom
attribs each time this bug occurs.
Once we get the subschemasubentry defined with our additional
attributes, is it possible to export and re-import in case of
corruption?
I have been able to export the subschemasubentry to ldif but
cannot re-import to recover (permission denied when using
default admin account).
I have tried the admin console (oidadmin) directly on the server
and still cannot remove incorrect attribs from person
objectclass.
I cannot find answers in the admin guide for this type of
recovery. (If it is in there can you please tell me where or
direct me to the proper documentation?)

Hi,
I think it's not such a good idea to depend on OIDAmin tool for
your development process.
You should consider to make a script for your development. The
standard script for Internet Directory is LDIF.

After sucessfully installing OID from 8.1.7 CD on Sun Solaris 8
(SPARC) I can start the monitor and the oidldap. After
sucessfully connecting with orcladmin using oidadmin I always get
the same error (either using oidadmin on windows or solaris) when
accessing "entry management", "schema management" or "audit log
management":

but the default ACP allows everyone (browse add delete)
anyone else had the same problem?
I tried to create the name server with OID with netca which
obviously does not work either.

You say that you conencted to OID as "oidadmin". Since OID does
not have any user account called "oidadmin" you were probably
conencted as an anonymous user. If you are trying to connect as
the administrator of OID the correct user account name is
"orcladmin" with a default password of welcome. Try this and let
me know if you sitll have troubles.

Acrobat XI Creates Corrupt Registry Entry

I need help with what to do, if anything, with what appears to be the addition of a corrupt registry entry after installing Adobe Acrobat XI.
The corrupt entry was added to: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
The entry that was added only contains the following four characters: @=””
The entry is not visible when using regedit. I just happen to see it when I exported Run to a .reg file and looked at with notepad.

Not that I know of at this time.
My concern is that this entry may cause problems if other entries are added to this location, which is quite possible, or when and if I try to remove Acrobat XI.
My hunch is that this entry was supposed to be Acorbat-sl.exe but I don’t know.

Latelt and without a reason, the NIK plugin has gone corrupt, (can not use it more the 2 corrections after a get a black background message that there is not enough memory) and the system stops running and a must restart is required. How do I fix this terrible problem?
If it requires a Photoshop CS5 re-install, (I belief that it may fix the problem) and re-install the two third party plugins (NIK Viveza) and (Onone Perfect Resize) how and where do I get to the proper Adobe upload page to do that.
I have tried to fix this problem by changing the memory allocations, I have spend many hours on it and are very disgusted with it but it needs to be fixed. The current memory settings are;
Ram available = 1588 MB
Range = 873 -1143 MB
Recommended Photoshop usage range = 857 however I have tried every setting to max and in between. Nothing works. Current setting = 1588 (max)
The Photoshop I use is registered, I have product # and order # .

Contact NIK for updated/upgraded versions of their plug-ins. They have been having a lot of issues with their plug-ins.

When i Check the value of us_screen in the debuging, its value is coming as blank.
When i checked the other form routine the value of us_screen is coming as 'X.
I am my getting why in my case value of us_screen is coming as blank.
What is significant of this field.

Cusomization might be missing for that output type in transaction NACE.
us_screen is blank because below query fails due to missing entry in table TNAPR.
SELECT SINGLE * FROM TNAPR WHERE KSCHL = P_KSCHL
AND NACHA = P_NACHA
AND KAPPL = P_KAPPL.
First assign the output type with a Transmission medium, Program, Form Routine, Form in transaction NACE
Take the help of your functional consultant.

Corruption in slideshow using IDVD

I have a problem I have been trying to resolve for quite some time, without success.
If I produce a slideshow in Iphoto, import to IDVD, add a nice theme header, burn the show, everything goes normal except for the end product. I end up with small glitches or corruption, guess you could say pixelation of some sort in some of my photo's in the slideshow. The corruption consists normally of small bands of pixelation about 1/4 inch high and three inches long, however, they can be shorter and longer.
I am using a G4-450mhz AGP machine, upgraded with a 1.5 ghz giga designs processor, new 8x superdrive (Apple firmware), installed full 1 gig of Ram, still using ATI Rage video card. I have tested the machine with the old cpu but still get the corruption, so that isn't it.
One tip to this problem is that I can take out all the music and the slideshow runs great, no corruption but add back the music and I get it back. Using Mp3's for Audio and I have tried reducing them to very low bit which seems to help but doesn't completely get rid of the corruption.
Have used all types of DVD names and all do the same. Currently using Imation and Verbatim. Using Ilife 05.
Anyone have any ideas?

Believe it or not, I found some DVD-R 1x and 2x Media at CompUSA. I bought the 2x Media because in the past I have had great results with their Media but I haven't seen the 1x or 2x in a while.
Unfortunately, I tried an IDVD burn and it still had the same ol glitches/pixelation in various parts of the slideshow. So, then I used Toast to burn a disk image at 1x I had no glitches, whatsoever.
So, what is the problem with IDVD?
Toast made a great successful burn for me and it plays well on PC or Mac, however, how do you get it to play on a DVD Player for a TV? I get the begining theme but when I try to click to enter the slideshow, I black screen.
I hate to say, but my PC makes slideshows like a pro with very little effort. I don't understand the big problem here with burn speeds or IDVD having so many problems.
Anyone have anymore good ideas? Getting pretty close to solving this I hope.

To recognize corrupt framemaker file using framemaker API

If I rename a framemaker book as .fm file and then I try to include this file as a component of another book, no pdf is generated on saving the book as pdf.
How can I make sure that a book file is not added as a component using framemaker API ( currently using fdk 6.0).

I think I understand now. Somebody else renamed the file... you are just trying to catch the error in your code, right?
I tried to duplicate this scenario, but in my experiments, FrameMaker was smart enough to know what kind of file it was, regardless of the extension. So, here are just some ideas...
- If the file isn't actually "corrupt," you can use F_ApiGetObjectType() to find out whether it is a FO_Book, FO_Doc, or something else. If a document is corrupted, I don't know what that function might return.
- If the file is corrupt, I would think that you should be able to query some kind of property to find that out. For example, maybe you could count the number of paragraph formats in the file. My guess is that a corrupt document will have significantly fewer than you would expect to see, if any at all.

Good point. Actually, even the wireless sync can cause the problem. "Sync iCal Calendars" in the "Info" tab should be UNCHECKED.

For Character devices, you have to use SAPConsole.
For GUI devices if you want to use online, it should be ITSMobile(Earlier this was WebSAPConsole).

Split single line entry into mutliple table entries using BODS.

Hi All,
I have a question on how to resolve splitting a single entry input into mutliple line entries using BODS.
Example we have Column 1, Column 2, Column 3 and the output will have 3 lines with Line 1 value from Column 1, Line 2 value from Column 2 and Line 3 value from Column 3?
Is there a loop that can be utilized inside a Data Flow?
What I had thought of is current using a CASE and a MERGE to resolve this.
Are there a better solution to this?

Thanks for the reply. It's more based on a condition so say if column 1 has a value, then you get row 1 created, if column 2 has a value then only row 2 gets created. Also, the source table contains multiple columns and not all will be pivoted into rows, just a certain particular columns.
Anyway, i had resolved this at the moment via CASE to split single row input into individual Queries and MERGE them back creating multiple rows.
Would like to know if anyone has a better 'performance wise' solution.

Entry using connection AFW failed

Hi,
I am trying to read an external file and push it in to R/3 by calling RFC using XI.
I configured everything.
File and RFC adapters are working fine.
After processing as per settings it is deleting the file but it is not pushing in to R/3.
In the Audit log i am getting the following messsages:
1.Success>Send binary file "tom.xml" from FTP server "entegdt27:XIshared", size 140 bytes with QoS EO
2.Success>Application attempting to send an XI message asynchronously using connection AFW.
3.Success>Trying to put the message into the send queue.
4.Success>Message successfully put into the queue.
5.Success>The application sent the message asynchronously using connection AFW. Returning to application.
6.Success>The message was successfully retrieved from the send queue.
7.Success>File "tom.xml" deleted after processing
8.Success>The message status set to DLNG.
9.Error>Transmitting the message to endpoint http://entegdt27:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection AFW failed, due to: Received HTTP response code 500..
10.Success>The asynchronous message was successfully scheduled to be delivered at Tue Dec 06 09:39:01 IST 2005.
During retry the same error(9) is repeating.
Can Anyone Help.

       The file adapter is picking up the file and deleting the same.The problem should be in mapping or the receiver adapter configuration.
Check the following things.
        1.In design time(repository) check whether the mapping between the two data types are perfect.Check the same by using test tab and execute option.
        2.Then go to the reciver SAP r/3 business system and go to transaction SM59.Check whether the a connection is established between the receiver system and the Intergration server.
          Create connections by giving the log on parameters of the XI server and the program ID and test the connection.
        3.If the test connection is perfect , then go to receiver R3 system and try executing the RFC as stand alone by giving appropriate inputs.
        4.If that is working fine.Then check for your configuration settings.The Comunication channel between XI and Receiver SAP R/3 should be under the SLD registered business system while the sender communication channel(File adapter) should be under a service.
         5.In receiver communication channel check for the log on parameters of the receiver SAP system.
      Hop this helps you in locating the root cause.

How to install OID connector using OIM API in 11g?

However, we are looking for API methods to simulate "load the connector " step in GUI.

I am not aware of this API to do the 'Deployment Manager' load task. But III try to help you using another way:

Does anyone have a working example of how to create an OID User using Java? I know how to create a user OBJECT but have yet to find any documentation on how to actually create a NEW OID USER.

I created 1asset, posted value and run depreciation. After that, I use t-code F-92 to retirement. When I choose asset to retire, the system has error: An entry using this combination is not allowed, .
Can u help me configure this error?

system has stopped to calculate depreciation value last year for this asset

The possible entries are as follows:
- You want to post a complete retirement
=> Set the indicator for complete retirement, do not make any
     other entries
- You want to post a partial retirement
=> Enter either the amount or the appropriate percentage
     rate. If quantity updating is used for the asset, you can
     also enter a quantity.
=> Enter only the quantity being retired (this is only possible if you
     are not dealing with a generic retirement, and quantity
     updating is used for the asset).
Procedure
Check your entries.
i have try all fields one by one and also to gather, but system shows same error message for every selection.
complete retirement
amount
qty
percentage.
if i am not selecting any one of these fields then system force me to select any one field by error message
