Corruption Error - Help

Starting around a few days ago, when I would plug in my iPod, (5th Generation w/video) iTunes would pop up as normal, but I would also get this message:

Along with a balloon coming from the iTunes icon on my taskbar telling me twice that "F:\iPod_Control\ is corrupt and is unreadable, please run the chkdsk utility".
I did run the chkdsk utility, and since I have not seen the taskbar balloon, but I still get the alert message linked above.
Also, whether or not this is related, coincidentally all my artwork to my music does not show up on my iPod (and the "Show Artwork on iPod" box is checked), but yet it shows up in iTunes when I play any given song with artwork.
If anyone has an idea of what the problem is, and how it can be fixed, please give a shout. (Also, I am using Windows XP)

Well, I don't actually automatically sync anything--- that's just the message it's giving me.
Also, I forgot to mention, when I plug in my iPod, before I get that message I get the "Setup iPod" window--- no idea why.
But if you believe that could be the problem, do you think I should just delete all my artwork then? I have no problem with re-loading them.

"Memory Card Corrupted" - Error Help!!!

Hi, I have a Nokia 6210 Navigator, and my memory card suddenly stopped working when I was opening a file. A message came up "Memory Card Corrupted". When I went into File manager, it showed my memory card as not there (grayed out). When I tried to explore it within my phone, there was no option to format, and there was a message "Memory Card Corrupted" on the screen.
When I connected my phone via Mass Storage Mode, it showed it as a drive, though when I tried to open it, it said "Insert a disk into I:\". It does not show up in Disk Management or CMD, and when I tried to format or run Check Disk, it would not run - "Drive not Ready". When I connected it into PC Suite Mode, I could perform a backup, though when I checked it could only backup my Phone Memory, not the card. The other modes don't work either.
I have tried many different softwares to try and backup/recover my data, and to try and format it, though that didn't work either

no other way to fix it unfortunately. unless you want to go to the trouble of taking your phone to your local Nokia Care Centre, where they will probably do the same thing anyway and you will still have to setup all your applications etc again. those messages are due to the phone thinking that the memory card isn't inserted when it is, so obviously it is a phone problem. another suggestion would be to check that the memory card is inserted correctly and to clean the contacts for the memory card (i.e. gently blow out the dust with a deep breath). if the card is the default one that came with the phone in the box, its most likely the Nokia one. i have the feeling they're manufctured under licence by SanDisk anyway.
yes, firmware updates can bring advantages such as bug fixes, new features and improved battery life. it is generally recommended to keep the phone up to date anyway to ensure its longevity and increased reliability and security. i know its a pain, but you will have to do the hard reset now that you have backed up all your data. let us know how it goes.

Sounds like your iPod is broken. Take it to Apple or someone else who repairs iPods and see if you can get it fixed, or get it replaced.

Im actually tilting it up where it cinnects to my iPod, not where it connects to my computer, and i have tried three(yes, 3) different cables, one of which i bought brand new. still nothing, and i've also tried different USB ports on my computer,....nothing. Could this simply be a hardware failure of somekind? maybe a physical problem...i mean, why would i have to tilt the cable in order for my computer to actually read my iPod? im looking at the USB connector on my iPod (maybe it's my imagination, not sure) it possible might be bent, the little metal part in the port.

File corrupt error

Hello All,
Using Adobe Mobile Packager and a swf files, i created a package for the Symbion Phones which is a self signed .sis file. When i tried installing it to the phone.......it gave an error "File Corrupt Error" .
Any guesses for the error?????
Also, the .swf file was created using CS3 suite. I don't know if this is a silly question........but can Adobe Mobile packager create package for swf files created using CS3........or is it only for .....CS4???????
Would appreicate all replies or any kind of help for this issue.

I don't use adobe mobile packager for this purpose; however there are some basic things to worry about during packaging so that your file won't be corrupted:
1> Did you Entered Correct UID order for an edition (2nd or 3rd Editions)?
2> Did you create .key and .cer files ? (key and certificate) ?
3> Did your Swf run normally in the mobile phone before packaging ?
4> Did you make sure you entered a valid path for your application to be installed during extraction ?

When I try to restore my iPod i get the iPod is corrupt error...

Ok, i've read through the answers that have been given for the error that comes up when people try to restore their iPod and get this:
"iTunes has detected an iPod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes. You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod."
so i get that message when i plug in my iPod still...even after having gone to the Apple Store to try and get it fixed. They fixed the actual iPod but still no success with the computer. And every time I plug in the iPod i get the message about it being corrupt and needing restore.
But whenever i click "Restore" i get a message saying: "There was a problem downloading the iPod software for the iPod "iPod". The requested resource was not found."
someone PLEASE help! I'm getting frustrated beyond belief here, i've tried the chkdsk stuff, and the bit about removing the iPod update software folder, if that's the same solution set, then i forgot what the other part was, but i've tried both of the suggested and nothing's working.

I got this under XP before. I was totally baffled until I realized there was a network drive mapped to the same place XP was trying to mount my iPod. The common symptom is that you'll get this sort of "corrupt" error on one machine but it works ok on a friend's machine. If that's true for you, you can change the network drive mapping to another drive letter (easiest) or mount your iPod and change its drive letter in the disk management control panel (under admin tools).
Hope that helps... this one just about had me pulling my hair out until I recognized the problem.

After I downloaded Jdeveloper 11g and I begun to run the EXE it gaved me this error
"could not extract the archive since it is corrupted error code = 50"
I downloaded it again the next day but with the same error and the same problem.
Could anybody know this issue ???? how to fix it ???

Do you run a virus checker or some program to scan the web traffic?
Some of them are trying to check every file inside the jars or exe and if they contain more then 65536 file they corrupt the file without saying so.
So try to download if running such programs or try it at an other location.

Jar file corrupt error in JNLP

Hello there,
I am developing a java swing application which i wanted to make it available on our corporate network for demo purpose.
The java application uses oracle 10g database which i made it to run with web start i.e converted to jnlp.now the jnlp works fine on my computer i mean using
<jnlp spec="1.0+" codebase="file:///C:/Project/jnlp/">
but when i try to run it from my apache server

,i get jar corrupt error.i also tried to open the jar file from my apache webroot.but i get the same error.but when i tested a simple jnlp application from apache it works fine.but the difference between the two test is the simple jnlp has only jar fine which is the application.the other apllication has two jar files one for the application and another for oracle jdbc driver.please help. one thing to mention is
when i clcik on the jnlp file in the browser,i get to see the java web start which shows the progress bar and mentioning downloading ojdbc14.jar which starts loading,then it says reading ojdbc14.jar which goes to 100 % and then it displays a box requested http://123.122.22.11/ojdbc14.jar and error saying corrupted ojdbc14.jar(which is the name of the jdbc jar file) .
please help i have been stuck on this for the past one week.

N79: "File Corrupted" error while installing .sis/...

I have been using Nokia N79 since Dec 15, 2008. I am facing problem while installing software with .sis/.sisx extension [for example fringe, putty and so many different softwares]. Everytime it's showing "File Corrupted" error, even if I download the software from Nokia Authorized sites. Please note My Application Manager settings are as follows: Software Installation: All, Online Certification Check: Off, Deafault Web Address: Nil. Installing files with other extensions [except .sis/.sisx] are ok with me.
Please help me in this regard, as it's becoming really painful for me day by day.

if you download things from sites like mosh etc, those files sometimes do get corrupted. it is best if you actually try to download them from the source and the ones that you can install via pc, install via pc maybe that will make a difference for you. you can go to fring site and fring will send you a text message, now once you open the link this app should download without any problems. and yes your are right it is highly unlikely that it is a hardware issues. try that and report back.

Critical structure corruption error

Hi, I installed autodesk inventor Pro 2014 and it required me to firstly install a windows installer patch before it could open. Now it works fine the only problem is that, my PC always restarts and I get a blue screen(critical structure corruption error).
Please help.

We do need the actual DMP file as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.
We prefer at least 2 DMP files to spot trends and confirm the cause.

Pe PC has been corrupted (error 92h)

Hello Team, i have an HP ProBook 4530S running windows 7 pro 64bit. It has HP protect tools and the Harddisk encrypted. Recently the hard disk got issues and can't boot windows. The error message is "pe PC has been corrupted (error 92h)". I have read many forums but haven't got a successful remedy. Is there anyone who has successfully overcome this? i really need my data on the hard disk

Take a read of this thread. You are not alone.
Some people make the mistake of using a third party disk encryption utility and get that error message..
What exactly do you mean when you say "hard disk go issues"? Be very specific in your description.
Recovery chances are quite slim and will be very expensive. There are companies that specialize in this. Search online to fnd them.

File Corruption Errors

Hi,
I'm working to resolve an issue that a user is experiencing, so any help would be appreciated.
The steps to cause the issue are as follows:
1. User creates a word doc and a pdf
2. User encrypts the word doc with the encryption within Microsoft Word
3. User attachs both documents to an email
4. User marks the email to trigger the outbound email encryption on the Ironport
5. Email is encrypted as normal
6. The recipient indicates that when they try to open the files, the pdf throws a file corrupted error
This doesn't seem to happen when the Microsoft Word encryption isn't used.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I have tested this on my lab systems. I created a password protected Word file and attached that and a PDF to an email that was then encrypted and both the PDF and the Word doc opened correctly. Details:
- Word doc saved in .doc format
- Envelope encryption using no password option
- Envelope opened using open online (i.e. without Java applet)
- AsyncOS 8.0.0-550
- opening environment Win 8 64 bit IE 10
I can attach the resulting envelope file for your user to test if that would help.
