Cortana not working

So, the update hit my computer, and caused a ton of issues. First, start menu stopped working for a few days. (I got that fixed via the post about the power-shell commands) the Second big issue is Cortana isn't working, I click search,
or I click on ask me anything and I get nothing, I say Cortana and nothing happens. it's an HP laptop that's of the higher end.

Since the start of this thread, there are 2 more builds released. 10041 and the latest 10049.
Build 10041 can be installed via Windows Update or via ISO install.

Build 10049, the latest, can only be installed via Windows Update. No ISO available yet.
Perhaps you would want to try 10041 via ISO install ?

1020 update to cyan, now cortana not working

Prior to the cyan update, I had installed developers preview 8.1 an update one. Both were successful and Cortana worked without issue.
Prior to installing the cyan update, I used the Nokia recovery tool to return my 1020 to the factory 8.0 version.
I allowed the phone to update to 8.1 and than to cyan, after wich I have discovered that Cortana is not working correctly.
When I try to use my interests, I am told that they are not available, but if I open IE 11 on my PC, all my interests are available.
Also when I try to use voice comman with Cortana, she does not hear me.
I have tried to resetting the phone several times and restoring back to 8.0 using the Nokia tool, all with no success.
Looking for some help on trying to get Cortana back.

you followed these steps to enable Cortana
you tapped on the hardware button Search to get Cortana
but Cortana does not hear you, even if you ask simple commands like ‘redial’. Correct? Does the second microphone work in any other app?

Cortana not working with new Windows 10 on Yofga 2 13

I recently updated to the new Windows 10 but am unable to get Cortana to work, even though all my setting are set to English (UK) (required if Cortana is to work). A search online has shown that the only other people I have found with the same issue also own a Yoga 2 13. Just wondering if anyone else with a Yoga 2 13 has had the same problem and if there is any way of overcoming this?

I have the same problem on my Z510. I have installed the very latest audio drivers but still not working. Like you, I have made sure that my region and language settings are all UK and have installed the UK English pack. I am beginning to think this is a Lenovo problem as, otherwise the WEb would be full of this.

I have a nokia 1520 and it recently did 2 updates (I think up to wp 8.1)
the phone says that the softwre is up to date but it doesnt have version 8.10.14141.167 which I think is what is needed for cortana.
I am in the uk and have my language and region etc set to UK.
I have os 8.10.12397.895
can anyone please help me?

I know it's a bug, but is there any temporary fix? I've tried restarting a few times to no avail.

What is your current situation?
The slow performance of Windows 10 might be caused by the upgrade process. You may take a try to perform a disk cleanup and then check if the situation would turn better.

Migration Not Working

I am trying to migrate my files from an HP Pavilion to a Macbook Pro. The migration is not successful so far because both the Macbook Pro and the HP are not recognizing the other device. For a short period of time last night the Mac recognized the HP but the HP didn't pop up the Code to be inputted. Any suggestions ( I fixed and investigated the windows firewall possibility)
Also if you have other suggestions for porting the files over I am all ears. Thanks for the help.

Anybody? I purchase the Cortana of support with Microsoft support and they were unable to get it to work. What I did next was a migration using a thumb drive. I also have a programming issue now where the live odds feed here is suddenly not working. Is it possible the migration from a windows pc to a mac some of my files have been corrupted? It is not .asp or .net but rather php websites that seem to be acting up ever since.

Dolby Home Theater/Dolby Digital Plus not working

Update: Issue gone today. Dolby working properly. Still using same drivers. (Win 10 64-bit). How? I don't even know. edit: I think turning off "Hey Cortana" fixed it for me.

In the driver folders you downloaded and unzipped go to the folder "PCEE4" and run "DolbyHomeTheater.msi" 6.If you dont get the "Install PCEE" error, restart and you should be able to enjoy dolby (when its not acting up). If you get the error then you may have not followed the instructions properly. Go back to step 1 Good luck guys

What happens if you switch country to US?

My laptop which is running actionpack edition of 10 enterprise is saying I'm unable to use Cortana in my location, despite me being from the UK, with it set to use English (UK)
All of which are supported according to Microsoft.
I doubt I'm ever going to use it but I can find bugger all info on why its not working and its annoying me!
I'm wondering if it's because im using actionpack but then, whats the point of making software available for testing if you're going to lock areas of it out?

I read that browser.ui.layout.tablet = "1" can fix this problem. But it not works. I can work only in pnone interface that is not good for my 8'' tablet.

Why self-defined access sequences of free goods can not work?

I have maintained access sequences of free goods self-defined.but when i creat the SO it does not work!
when i used the standard access sequences ,it is OK .

Go to V/N1 transaction select your self defined access sequence then go in to the accesses and fields and check all fields are activated.
Make sure that these fields are flowing in your sales order.

I was under the impression that photoshop cc would not even install on windows vista.
What version of camera raw do you have?
In photoshop under Help>About Plugin does it list Camera Raw and if so which version is it?

Camera raw doesn't work if it's a camera raw file or some other file type such as jpeg or tif?
What camera are the camera raw files from?
Officially camera raw 8.3 is the latest version of camera raw that will work on windows vista.

Adobe Bridge CS5 in windows 7 not working. I was using bridge perfectly for last 2 years. It stops working since 3 days. I tried to install updates. Showing some error to install.

Partner application logoff not working

We have a partner application registered with sso with custom login screen. The login works fine. We use the following code to logoff the partner application in logoff.jsp

but the logoff is not working properly. It is not invalidating the session and the logout http request is not going from the application server to the sso server.
Are there any additional configurations for SSO logoff.Any help is appreciated.

The WF should also trigger if i add the Partner function in UI.If i change any Attribute the WF triggers but i dont want to change the attribute when i add the partner function.
If i have only one event for WF that is Partner Change the WF will not trigger it for the 1st time when i save the UI. But next i come to the same saved doc and add a partner function then the Wf triggers.
So this means that Partner change is active.
the issue here is i need to trigger the WF on , the 1st time i save the UI, for which i wil be using Attribute Change and next time when i come back to saved doc the and add only the partner function and no changes are made to attributes the WF should again trigger.

IPhone 4 Voice Memos not working/saving

I'm having trouble with my voice memos too. Up until yesterday they were working fine and now, even though the record button works, the stop button does not and I can only pause them. Worse again is that the button to go into the menu to view all voice memos is not working so I can't play them from my iPhone and nothing new is saving to my iTunes. Please help!

I've always had the "Include Voice Memos" option selected. I think that only pertains to syncing voice memos from iTunes to the iPhone after it has been copied to iTunes. It has to be the new OS/iTunes not communicating that new memos have been recorded. For some reason they won't sync when I want them to, and then a few syncs later they magically appear.
By the way, I'm VERY comfortable with the iTunes and iPhone systems. I've been using iTunes for 5 years, and I've been recording class lectures with the iPhone voice memo app (and another app) for a couple years. It's not an error of not seeing that the memos were added; they don't exist in my library or music folders.
JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY, POST WHICH FIRMWARE YOU ARE RUNNING EXACTLY!!!
I'm on an iPhone 4, running firmware 4.0.1
