Cosmos LG Touch - no touch
My Cosmos LG Touch doesn't work. The touch screen does nothing when I touch it. I cannot reset because the touch screen doesn't work. I pulled the battery. NOw it's locked and I can't unlock my phone because the touch screen doesn't work. HELP!
Hi! This will sound nuts, but throw it on the ground, decently hard. I was so annoyed but tried this tip after seeing it on another forum and had to share; could not believe it actually worked!

My Ipod Touch is disabled and when I connect to Itunes to recover it, it states that itiTunes could not connect to the iPod touch “iPod touch” because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPod touch before it can recover.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -
Since last firefox update 7 Nov - enter web address - it 'goes to sleep' until I touch the touch pad
I enter a web address and for a couple of seconds the little circle by 'Firefox' spins with 'connecting' - and with 'transferring ...' at bottom left. Okay - fine so far. But then circle stops spinning and nothing happens until I just touch the touch-bar - then it continues. This has only been happening over the last couple of days. Touching the bar seems to wake laptop up.

iPod touch
iPod touch lost in snow 2 mos, found yesterday songs played ok today charged fully but lost charge very quickly. What can I do to try to fix this myself before sending it in for repair?Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

By now, many of you have probably already discovered that even after adjusting the sensitivity of the Zen Touch's touch pad, it's still too sensiti've and ofter overshoots the point. I've found a simple, but effecti've method for using the touch pad to jump "one step at a time". Just apply heavy pressure to the center portion of the touch pad. While maintaining that pressure, drag your finger slowly in the direction you want, just far enough to make one click. The addtional pressure slows down the scrolling action and helps you move one step at a time. Use constant heavy pressure at the very top and very bottom of the touch pad to rapidly scroll. Use a light stroking action to rapidly scroll a few lines at a time. If you follow these tips, you'll be a master of the touch pad in no time at all, even with your weak hand!

After week I got used to it and now it works fine. For the first week I turned the "tap to select" option off and used the OK button instead, but now I can use it with the tapselect also and its geat. It is really just about recognizing the 3 regions of the touchpad. I tried ipods clickwheel in the store also, and I think the clickwheel is more easy to use at first. But Iam happy now with the touchpad! -
IPod Touch 1G "touch-screen freeze" after Wi-Fi connect (since 1.1.4) + log
Hi everybody,
I have a big problem with the touch-screen since approximately 2 months.
The problem is:
1. I turn on my iPod Touch 1G (Firmware 3.0), works
2. I activate my Wi-Fi (it connects, wi-fi bar is visible), works
Then the real problem starts (mainly while and after using Safari, sometimes even without using it)
After a few seconds the iPod freezes.
The strange thing is, only the touch-screen itself seems to be "deactivated"
If I leave the iPod calm for some minutes I am able to "unlock" it again.
All in all it seems, that the iPod deactivates the touch-screen after being connected to the Internet, because if I turn off the Wi-Fi connection, everything works fine.
This problem appeared since firmware 2.0 (1.1.3 worked fine i think) and now I have 3.0 and it is still the same problem.
Already downgraded, upgraded, jailbreaked, un-jailbreaked it. I tried everything.
Another solution to come to my Home-Screen is to Lock/Unlock a few times, sometimes this works.
I renewed the firmware more than once (10-15 times) and still do not ger rid of this problem. (Also in "recovery" mode)
Same thing with Youtube:
1. Starting Youtube
2. (If I am able to search a video) selecting a video
3. Video plays, but no touch-pad reaction anymore
I am not able to work with it anymore.
And I am sure it is a software problem, due to the fact the touch-screen reacts(!).
_A "forced restart" (Home + Lock Button hold for a few seconds) does not help, problem is still the same._

Also worked with the iPhone Utility, nevertheless a bit helpful.
Or a hint, how to destroy my actual firmware and to set up a new one, means setting up a completely (brand) new iPod like i bought it at the store?!
Support can not help me any more because my warranty is over ince 2 days.

What's wrong with my iPod Touch? (Touches buttons by it's self)
A friend gave me this iPod touch 3g with a minor crack in the screen (nothing major). Everything was fine and dandy until I downloaded two apps (Mangastorm and mangabox). Now, my iPod touches buttons by itself. For example I'd hover my hand over a button and it'll hit the key next to what I intended on pressing and so many other random buttons. Please help me on how to fix this issue?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings (if you can)
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My macbook pro screen page jumps around without touching the touch pad
When I am on Mail or my Firefox Browser the screen keeps jumping forward, back or to another site without my touching the trackpad. (Macbook Pro 2014. At first I thought it was the Firefox Browser, but it also happens on "mail" (verizon.com). This instability of the screen has rendered my computer little better than useless.

I can find tonnes of support for bluetooth accessories but can't seem to find an answer for help connecting a Touch to another Touch via bluetooth for peer-to-peer games etc!
We have 2 ipod touches - both 2Gen, both with 3.1.2 software.
We have tried to connect via bluetooth several times, but it just keeps "searching". We have tried turning wifi off on both devices before connecting, no joy. Have fiddled with nearly every setting we can find, taken off back covers to improve reception, all sorts.
Despite beign able to connect to both our mobile phones with bluetooth (although you can't then do anything with them of course!) - still no joy. I even tried connecting mine to an iphone last night - nothing. Neither device saw the other.
Am I being dumb?Yes, anything above 3.0 is fine. Is the lack of peer to peer wifi because you have not tried with the G3 iPod touch machines; or is it because wifi does not work?
I was unsuccessful with Bump but did not try very hard as the other iPhone had just arrived and there was a degree of excitement in the house.

Hmmm, that word, "obvious" makes me wonder. Not trying to be flippant, but the devil is in the details. As far as I remember, the BT in these devices is not for linking devices one on one (as one would do with a mobile phone and a computer), so I would not be overly concerned about that.
I did manage to get Touch working with iPhone and G1 iPod touch via wifi, but it is a bit fiddly making sure the settings are in concord. I will try BT when I get that other iPhone back in the house. -
Earlier this week, i put my touch in my coat pocket, like I always do going to class, and walking from my room to the stairs, the music stopped, and when i pulled the player out of my pocket, it was showing the load screen.
It resumed playing from the same spot (/2 way through Jimmy Buffett's "Diamond as Big As the Ritz") when i first turned it on.
Thinking it was a random fluke, i put it back.
A few songs later it did the same thing. Reboot. Play from /2 way through "Diamond...".
The player has a few scoffs and scratches, i won't lie about that, but no major injuries. Is it possible that just from everyday use and those few bumps that i now have bad sectors on the hard dri've?
And like the Nomad JB I, does disk clean up fix that kind of stuff? I haven't had a real problem since i did the clean-up last night, but i haven't listened to those songs either.harikari: Very hard to say whether you've done something that's damaged the player, or whether the player has developed a fault.
Disk cleanup doesn't fix all faults on the player, nor does it run some form of scandisk or defrag (both common myths). All it does is rebuild the file table, and reset the settings. It's worth a try though in case this relates to your issue. -
Syncing contacts from old Touch to Touch 4G
OK, how do I do it. I set up the new Touch (4G) but the contacts didn't transfer from my old one (which I am still using). Any hints here?

TomIf you setup your new iPod by restoring it from a backup of you original iPod the new Ipod would contain the address book and a lot of other information on your old iPod. See:

Hello, i bought X3 and it has very annoying problem : the touch screen in sometimes unresponsive. No matter how carefully & slowly & strong & gently the touch screen is poked, it does not response. The screen flickers as indication that touching is somehow working but the interface is totally unusable ; it does not respond to the command I try to make.
But then, sometimes it works. I tried to bring the device back to nokia store, it has been unresponsive for the whole day, but then when was my turn in nokia shop the device started to work just like magic, and no surpsise the dealer did not try too much attention.
Calibrated? Yes. Did not help. I switched back to my previsous phone.

Also, does the screen become unresponsive on and off? or for long periods of time. Since the phone become responsive at the Care point, has it become unresponsive since then?

Can't generate thumnails from iPhoto videos in iMovie 11
I opened iMovie 11 a little while ago and it asked if I wanted to generate thumnails Now or Later from the videos in iPhoto. I clicked on the "Later" button. I have been using iMovie for at least 5 years and have always clicked on the Now button as
