Cosmos VN250: 7770000001 data message from verizon wrecked my phone. I have an old plan that Verizon really wants to end. Even though I have data messages blocked, this number was sent to my phone by Verizon and while trying to receive it, it broke.
Has anyone had any kind of issue with their phone breaking after getting a message from Verizon, thereby requiring them to get a new phone, and hence, a new plan, that will be more expensive? I have an old plan, the Singlerate West 300 that they have been trying to get me off of for years. It's a great deal. Yesterday, after coming back into the country, my phone started to retrieve a message from 7770000001, which I found online is from VCAST/Verizon, and while trying to retrieve it, the screen suddenly failed so that now only the top quarter of the screen is visible, making it impossible to text or see contacts. I've been working on it on-line and with Verizon all day and my only options will all lead to me getting a new plan that is more expensive, even if I replace it with the same phone. New rule - you can't renew an old plan if it's not currently being offered. Is Verizon sending out software that can ruin a phone requiring a new one, with a new plan that's more expensive?

Later a window came up, with the rest of the screen grayed-out, saying there is suspicious programs on my 'pc' (wrong because I have an iMac) and it will run a scan to see if there are any suspicious programs. After downloading Maverick on the MacBook Pro that I bought in 2011, I am unable to open iPhoto. The message says "You can't use this version of the application "iPhoto" with this version of OS X. You have "iPhoto" 9.2.3" What??? That is ridiculous. Why doesn't Maverick download everything? I've tried the "fixes" I found on this forum, but none of them work for me, because there is no workaround via the library. I can't access the library.
I have an old iPhoto version and it still works with Mavericks, the version before yours, that is puzzling.

iTunes shows quite a few songs that it can't locate. Some were songs that were purchased, others are from my CDs... not the entire album, just some of the songs. The songs still show up on my iPhone from previous syncs. Also, I purchased some that I've put in a playlist and it plays fine on my computer, though it won't sync to my phone. The others that I've purchased in the same manner do, just not that one. I've tried adding it elsewhere, I have deleted it and re-downloaded it... yet it still won't show up on my phone when I attempt to sync it. This has all occured since I've updated it to iOS 7. Any advice to remedy this is greatly appreciated.

I am also having numerous other problems with my ipad, apps just close randomly (they worked perfectly fine before) as well as my hipstamatic doesn't want to save photos to the photos. Is there a way to go back to IOS 5?
Hey Saanasaana, Have you tried going into Settings>General>Reset and tapping Reset All Settings. If still no joy... Reset Network Settings and rebooting the router. If that doesn't do it, try Settings then tap the offending Wi-Fi Network, then tap Forget this Network and re-load it, as if it was a new network.
Your next options are to Restore. Connect to your iPod with your computer with the cable, and make new backups / copies of all your stuff to your computer first, then Restore from Backup. If that does not solve, Restore to New, a full restore. Note restore to new will wipe you iPod put it back to factory specs, that's why your need to make backups of everything on your iPod before you do it so you can reload your stuff back to your iPod. If the full restore does not solve you may have a hardware issue, contact your Apple store or Apple Genius Bar and set up an appointment to have your iPod evaluated. Good luck. Cheers. -
I have Firefox set to automatically look for updates then ask if I want to install them. I do this when convenient (may also need to restrict downloads on another machine when paying for Internet use by amount downloaded) Until recently it did just this. Firtefox 6 seems to have downloaded & installed (& lost all passwords & cookies) I assumed this happened when someone else was using the machine & said yes. It has now automatically downloaded the latest update automatically and the settings are still set to ask me first. What has happened & how can I stop it please?

I can't figure out what is talking up space on the memory.
Make sure all of the files actually are deleted from the hard disk and that the trash is emptied.

I have iTunes on my Dell Vista 64 bit and while trying to burn a book to cd it keeps telling me to insert a blank cd when I have done that already. What do I need to do to get it to recognize a blank cd and continue with the burn?

Please google search for "Mountain Lion disk crash" before upgrading you mac pro. You might need to replace you Mac hard drive after the upgrade.So many people had the same problems including me.

Iphoto froze in the middle of an import. Had to unplug my phone and walk away for a minute while it was still frozen. Now it says it's importing photos even though nothing is plugged in. No. It is only on imessage which has to be an apple product. ipod, iphone, ipad, or mac. Will not work on other phones.
