Cost aganist Work orders by Date

Hi Friends,
Is there any standard reports available for Cost aganist Work orders by date or else please let me know any tables (apart from COEP & PMCO) are there to get the data Work orders cost per Date wise.

KOTAGIRI SRINIKA
In COVP, pass the object number (OBJNR) which you will get from table AUFK for orders.
Based on this you will get the relevant cost elements with respect to document date (BLDAT) as well as the posting date (BUDAT) of the cost booked on orders.
I think by this you can get the cost based on dates for your orders.

BADI for Updating work order component data

Hi,
I need to update the field special stock indicator for the work order component data when it is saved. I am using the BADI WORKORDER_UPDATE for the same, but when I implemented the ZWORKORDER_UPDATE_IM using the standard defenition WORKORDER_UPDATE , the code does not allow me to change the it_component internal table belonging to the BEFORE_UPDATE method. Could you please help me in this.
Basically if we are implementing a standard defenition how to change the parameters of the methods in it.

It is giving the below dump. The parameter is importing parameter and it does not allow to change even using field symbol. Is there any other way. Is there an user exit which will be called when pressing enter button in component screen. The exit EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 did not work for this.

    The program tried to assign a new value to the field "<F_FS1>" even though
    it is protected against changes.
The following objects are protected:
    - Character or numeric literals
    - Constants (CONSTANTS)
    - Parameters of the category IMPORTING REFERENCE for functions
      and methods
    - Untyped field symbols to which a field has not yet been assigned
      using ASSIGN
    - TABLES parameters if the corresponding actual parameter is protected
      against changes
    - USING reference parameters and CHANGING parameters for FORMs if
      the actual parameter for this is protected against changes

PM Work Order release date.

Hi guys,
Where to find the work order release date? In the Header Data, there is no field mentioning about release date. There are only Basic Start/End Date and Malfunction Start/End date.

Generally that basic start date is date which order is going to be released,
In Application tool bar There is a "release" button whenever that button is clicked that order is released with the date which is basic start date there is no special space for release order date.

PM work order "Reqmt Date" in General tab for the items in component tab

Hello experts,
Currently in our PM work order when the materials are added to the component tab to create purchase requistion the requirement date is defaulting to today. So every time the buyers have to update the purchase requisiton they need to change the requirement date field.
We are planning to open the field ( so the requirement date will not default) .
What can be the negative consequences of that?
Would that be a issue for our MRP run?

If you are putting Current date (coming as default), PR is getting the same date. Are you creating this PR through MRP??
Even if you put any actual requirement date, based on MRP period, system will create the PR with appropriate date which has been mentioned in PM order.
There is no impact of changing this date.

Different service costs in work order and purchase order

When I add a service in a works order and later on add the vendor I get an incorrect planned cost in the order. A recalculation is not performed based on vendor price. A manual recalculation is possible but it should be done automatically on order save. Anybody familiair with his problem, and more importantly: Anybody got a solution for this?

The service master / activity 123 has a specific price of 25,- For vendor XYZ the service master /activity has a price of 20,- When I create a work order and add service master / activity 123 first the price of 25,- appears. When I add the vendor XYZ in the work order and create a purchase requisition I presume the price of the vendor xyz (20,-) will appear in the PR. When I create a purchase order from the PR the price is still 25,- instead of 20,-. I get the same result when I manually change the price of the service master / activity. The price in the PR stays the same (20,-).

Reference Object to Refresh Work Order Field Data

Dear Gurus,
In IW21/IW22 the reference object will populate the Responsibilities section of the Notification tab, and fields on the Location Data tab. When the reference object is changed, those same fields will update or refresh. The reference object will also populate field data in a work order if the work order is created from the notification, however, work order fields will not refresh if the reference object on the notification is changed. Nor will work order fields change if the reference object is changed directly within the work order.
Can anyone explain why fields will refresh in IW21/IW22 when the reference object is changed, but similar fields in the work order will not refresh when the reference object is changed in IW31/IW32?

When you execute IW31/IW32 transaction, in back ground standard SAP programs are called to perform order related task.
When transaction IW21 / IW22 is executed and order is created or changed at that point also standard SAP programs are called to perform order related task.
But program called by IW31/IW32 are different then that will called with IW21/IW22 and thus refresh dont happen if u change reference object in notification once after order is created.
You need to manually change in work order.

Work Order Cost/Planned data by Activity Type

Does anyone know the cube that would contain planned and actual cost for work orders using the work order activity type (AUFK-ILART)

PM work order estimate cost

I wanted to ask regarding "Estimated cost of work order"
Ponit 1- In Transaction IW32 (change work order) change the Estimated Cost field so that it does not u201Cgrey outu201D after the work order has been released. This field is available for data entry while the work order is in the CRTD status but cannot be accessed once the Work Orders changes to REL status.--is it possible to change the estimated cost after Work order released
Point2 - If ponit 1 is not possible, an alternative is to have the planned cost of the work order auto fill the estimated cost field if no value is entered when the release flag is executed. (that means can we take planned cost as estimated cost automatically if estimated cost field is blank)
our clints want these two functionality. please any body know on thes issues let me know.

Scheduled start and finish dates in the Work order.

I am facing peculiar issue that once the Work order has been released schedule start and finish dates should be derived from the control key and
operation hours and work center capacity,infact in my case while releasing the Work order,these dates (scheduled start & finish) are not been
populating in the Work order,(but SAP standard behavior is while releasing WO,the dates should be populated).
though i have maintained proper configuration

How to avoid automatic data change in service notification from work order

Hi,
when I change work order address data the address data from the service notification connected to the order is changed too, how can I avoid this change? Is there anything on customizing to control whichs fields are updated automatically.

Hi,
You can trying using Books of Business.
Create a book and add that particular user to that book and at the time of task creation, through a workflow you can assign it to the corresponding book.
This might resolve the access issue you are facing.

I am currently working on IW31/IW32(create work order) and trying to find the table in which the estimated cost and actual cost is found.
also i would like to know if there are any function modules or BAPI's related with the creation of work order.

I need the data base table in which the actual and estimated cost are stored for a given work order.
Also i need to know in which table data in opertaions tab and work order component data is stored.

Query Related to Work Order

Hello Experts,
I am facing problem regarding costs in work order.
After creating a work order of type PM02 we are not able to view the Plan Cost in "Costs" tab.
This is happening from year 2012 as in previous orders we were able to view the costs in year 2011.
Not able to understand the reason behind it as i am new to this module.

I understand you are now able to schedule a PM Order to a 2011 date and see the planned cost there?
There are year-specific settings for planning in General Controlling > Organization > Maintain Versions > General Version Definition > Controlling Area Settings > Settings for Each Fiscal Year
you could try to check if there are relevant entries there for 2012, lack of these settings would prevent planning.

Query shows Work Orders number in description

Hello Experts,
We have such issue that in query which shows costs of Work Orders (module Plant Maintenance) system for some of displayed Work Orders not shows description but Work Order number.
It takes place when one turn on to display Key and Text in WO parameters.
What could be the reason? Whether initial upload of Master Data can help?

Mapping is strange for me because I have as follow:
0PM_ORDER = AUFNR - it is OK
but for long description is
0TXTMD = TXTMD
This TXTMD is strange for me. Do you know why we have it here and what does it mean? Such field ofcourse doesn't exist in ERP.
And additional information is that this long description is not displayed only for WO Types which start from Z*, user defined.
WHAT COULD BE THE REASON?

Through ME5A i can retreive components and Purchase requesition details aganist Work orders,however this has not been working for TECO and CLSD Work order,is there any way to get those detials for TECO & CLSD WO from standard report.
