This char has to be defined as a segment level char in KEQ3... If it is not already defined as such, go and define it as such
Then you can enter cost center as receiver in KEU5

    Hi All,
    The Client is requested to have Cost Center Group in the CO reports. I have trying to analyse how to get Cost center group in the report or Info Provider.
    When i went to T-code KS03 in ECC ( Display Cost Center), i get the Hierarchy Area field called KHINR, which shows the Cost center grp. Upon discussing with Functional person, he has told that this Field lies in Table CSKS (Cost Center Master).
    Now i am thinking to enhance the Cost Center Attribute Dsrc. with this Field KHINR.
    I just want some suggestions or advice on how to bring Cost center grp and Profit center grp

    Yes i truly agree that Cost Center Grp is CostCenter Hierarchy,, but i dont understand, y the Client has told that he needs the field KHINR in the Cost Center Report too.
    Actually he wants Cost Center Group wise report and NOT Cost center wise report.
    I have thght of extracting the Complete Std Hierarchy to 0COSTCENTER and then in the report , i can give a Cost Center Hierarchy Variable(probably a selection screen), such that the User can select the Nodes he want and then drill down the CostCenter Groups to see his respective Cost center accounting.
    Please opinionate on this

  • Material Attribute value display based on cost center value

    Hi,
    Is it possible to display the material attribute value based on cost center value. I mean for some cost centers I would like to display the value of other characteristic in place of material attribute. I am trying to create a query on MP.

    In Rows, Create a struture. Using New Selection, You can restrict the New Value to the cost center (Restrict again on those some cost centers) and material. And for this New Characteristic, you can have a attribute.

    Hi Orly,
    You have take it to your ABAPer, who will have to modify the attributes of CSKSZ-VERAK field in CSKSZ structure. ABAPer will have to define it with foreign key and introduce the name of the table, which will be used for deriving the available values. No standard table exists for it, but you can either create your own Z-table or take it from users table (USR02) if you have the necessary information there. Of course, this action would account for modification of standard SAP structure.

  • How to run GR55 reports in background for cost center hierarchies

    1.  I have been asked by our users to create batch jobs to run in the background for some GR55 reports, that can then be sent directly to cost center managers via email.
    I have figured out the process to do this as long as the cost center manager only needs to see a single cost center at a time.  However, if they are in charge of multiple cost centers, we also want to send them a summarized report using the hierarchy we have set up.  I can't seem to make this work, as the job only seem to recognize the last cost center in the group and the report is for that cost center.
    Example.  cost centers 100, 200 and 300 belong to hierarchy abc.  If I run the job just for cost center 100 it is fine.  But if I have a variant to run hierarchy abc, or even if I use the range 100 to 300, all I get is a report for cost center 300.
    We cannot use BW because we only have revenue in BW.  I am being asked to make this work from standard R/3 within the GR55 realm of reporting.
    2.  In addition, the report selection criteria includes two separate plan/forecast versions.  They need to update these each month prior to running the reports and sending them out.  I looked at the variables associated with the versions and tried to set them up with default values that I hoped would update automatically so that they don't have to manually change 50 or so variants each month.  But I don't see any dynamic variables that I can use to have the system make that change without going into each variant individually.
    3.  There is another piece to this equation as well.  There is another report they want sent out in batch, but it is several pages wide in SAP and several pages long.  So when you run it in batch and either spool it or get it sent as an email, it is very ugly in the formatting due to all the page splits horizontally and vertically.  If anyone knows how to get the report to stay together like it would if you had excel integration turned on, it would be very helpful.  I have tried running it with that integration turned on, but the jobs are set up with user batch_mgr and not my id, so it isn't working well.  The batch_mgr id is just a system id, not a dialog id.  We also don't want the jobs set up with a regular user id because if people leave, then the jobs all need to be changed.

    I may have options for issues 1 and 2. In case of 3, what I can tell you is I understand the concern, but this is what  typically happens in some standard CO reports that are not ALV compatible, I don't think there is not much  there to do unless you add some custom code for the output.
    In regards to point 1, yes,  I have noticed that this happens in some standard and custom reporting, not sure what is going on. I came up with a work around that  made the trick for my client in a similar scenario; which is editing the cost center groups. For instance, instead  of having the group set as a range from 100 to 300,  the groups are have  listed the cost centers, 100, 200 and 300. Obviously, the disadvantage of  this option is  that it would require a bit of more cost center group maintenance.
    In regards to point 2,  I understand from your note  that your users already have set up selection variants for the report. One option for you is to get the help from a developer to create a custom period variable and tiny program that runs in batch every month that would update that variable accordingly. Once that's done, you may have to update at least once, the selection variant  attributes to change the period to a selection variable, so everytime from that point of time forward that the variable gets updated,  it will be ready with the right value for every selection variant that uses it.

  • TAX code requires default cost center

    Hi,
    There is an error coming while posting the MIRO Invoice with tax code ( need to be charge to PL Account) " put the cost center " for GL Account for tax code. This is  a cost element & hence requires cost center but the field for entring tax posting. Issue we are facing is that we are forced to default the cost center as screen is not input enabled(greyed) for cost center in tax calculation screen & it is also not picking up the cost center from purchase order screen.
    Need to know any solution for this issue.

  • Default cost center not appearing for certain users

    Hi Gurus,
    We are on SRM 4.0 classic scenario.
    For certain users when they create SC in SRM the default cost center is not automatically taken into account even if they change it to it. The default cost center was changed for these users and some of them still refer to the old cost center no. which was maintained for them.
    The users are not defective and the except the cost center all other attributes work fine. I have tested by deleting & recreating new BP no. for the users but it still doesnt help. Please advise.

  • How to restrict the Cost Center Search ?

    Hi everybody,
    Im a little bit worried... In my Org Model, I defined in the CNT user's attribute some Cost Centers. 
    I was thinking that this action would restrict the Cost Centers that the end-user can use. 
    Obviously not.. it seems that it is just a default value, but the user can search and put any cost center.  The same concept applies for the GL account.  =(
    Somebody knows how to really restrict the cost centers that an user can use ?

    For cost centers search help in SRM, there are 2 options:
    1 - You use the backend search help, then backend search help is called directly, and the attributes are not taken into account.
    2 - You do not use the backend search help, then a HTML select option (dropdown list) of codes is shown to the user with all the values entered (one by one) in the user attributes (or herited values, but ranges are not supported).
    The first option is used as soon as the user has the authorization object (authorization object SRM 3.0: M_BBP_SHLP; authorization object SRM 4.0: BBP_FUNCT/value: BE_F4_HELP)
    What I understand, is that you want to use the backend search help, with a limitation upon the user attributes: this can be done using the search help BADI.

  • Input help for cost center & WBS element not working

    Hi ALL
    We are using SRM 4.0 with backend ECC 5.0.
    Input help for attributes cost center (CNT), WBS element (PRO) are not functioning.
    When tried to search for input help (F4) on the above attributes, I am getting message "Display not possible (Inconsistency in the input help)".
    I even applied SAP note 746788 for cost center search help.
    Can you tell me if I have missed any config settings?

    Did you managed the transactional RFC destination in the customizing (where you define all your log. systems it is an additional field in the table control).

  • WBS element and Cost Center

    Hi Gurus,
    As far as I know, when the a/c assignment category is P in a PO, the costs are assessed on the cost object WBS element and when the a/c assignment category is K in a PO, the costs are assessed on the cost object cost center. But, as I drill down a WBS element, I find Requesting and responsible cost center.
    So, can I say that a WBS element is actually a child of the responsible cost center ?
          And all the costs assessed on a WBS element are eventually assessed on the responsible cost center?
    Please help in clearing my concepts.

    You assign the account assignment to WBS element based on the OPERATIVE INDICATOR...
    By this you specify the attributes of a WBS element and determine which tasks the WBS element can carry out in the project...

    Give the Posted Document.
    Check Select details with Pers. NO
    For giving Payroll Area has selection.
    Select tab " Selection of Run attributes"
    u can give payroll area here. and In period here
    and also since the posting date would be fixed ....u can use that field also....
    GL Account u can get.........
    The fields are the same that you are getting in the layout.....u can select all the fields for display....
    Using tab " Selection for Account assignment "
    u can again filter the data....

    You dont have to join them. Keep both profit center and cost centre in the cube. While defining the update rules, derive profit center from cot centre.
    In the report , keep profit center and cost centre as free char.
    The users can dynamically drill down and view the report for cost centre or profit centre or both.
    Another idea is to keep profit centre as a nav attribute in the cube and in that case, you dont have to derive profit centre from cost centre in the update rules.

  • CNT cost ctr attribute. Can you enter a range of allowed cost centers?

    We are using SRM 5 with extended classic. We are restricting which cost centers users can shop for by specifying the allowed cost centers in attribute CNT. However, users have a large number of cost centers that they can shop with, which means having many single entries, one for each cost center.
    Is there any way that cost center ranges can be used for attribute CNT?

    Hi,
    You need to maintain the attribute 'CNT' in the org structure at user level or may be upper levels and then inherit it org structure.
    You need to define the values wrt to yr backend system.
    You can assign multiple cost centres also then users will see drop down box for the same.
    One more point affecting the search help for cost center is authorisation for the resp role in PFCG i.e.
    say the user role is SAP_BBP_STAL_EMPLOYEE
    you go to PFCG
    go to roles
    doubleclick on inbuilt single role ....EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE
    click on tab authorozation
    go to display/change auth data
    go to BBP component
    go to first option 'SRM: Allgemeine Zugangsberechtigungen im EBP'
    check 'BE_F4_HELP' is flagged.
    If no tick here you will not see binoculur in EBP for user of that role

    I want to have the employee's cost center defaulted on the PR05 screen.
    I want to default it at the  Entire Trip's Cost Assignment.
    I am aware of the user exits available, however, i need to know if there is a way to default it without using the user exits.

    By default, all trip cost is charged to employee's cost centre ( even if you have not been mentioned any cost centre) otherwise as per calculation guidelines.

    The travel expenses accounting dialog contains the option to record cost assignment specifications for the complete trip, additional destinations (stopovers), receipts and the kilometer/miles distribution.
    The user is provided with two options for this purpose: The entry area Alternative Cost Assignment to Master Cost Center in the travel expenses dialog, or the Enhanced Cost Assignment function.
    Travel Management offers five different coding blocks that you can use to control the cost assignments within Travel Expenses accounting.
    In this IMG activity you define the screen layout for the account assignment objects - the selection and order of these objects. In addition you can specify the field characteristics for each of the account assignment objects.
    You can make these settings in relation to a specific user or the organizational assignment of the employee.
    To do this, copy the return value from the feature TRVCO as a variable key into the key of the fields with which you want to set up the coding block.
    Note
    The feature TRVCO is only evaluated during screen layout of a coding block if it is assigned to the corresponding function module in the view Screen modification for assignment data.
