Cost Center RQM04-KOSTL

Hi,
in transaction QM01 i have the following two variables:
1.- Plant for Work Center:
VIQMEL-ARBPLWERK
2.- Work Center: RQM00-ARBPL
i´ve activated user-exit 'EXIT_SAPMIWO0_012'
when the user doesn´t indicate the two fields above i have to display the cost center proposed by SAP standard,
but if user indicates them i have to display the cost center associated to the variables (Cost Center RQM04-KOSTL).
How can i find the cost center associated to variables
VIQMEL-ARBPLWERK and RQM00-ARBPL?.Best regards.

WE WANT TO CHECK COST CENTERWISE STOCK. PL. SOLVE IT.
EXAMPLE- in T-CODE- MMBE WE CAN CHECK project stock i.e- under which WBS THE STOCK BELONGS. we want in same manner under which cost center the stock belong.

Not sure abut MMBE,but u can do it for MB51.
In MB51 you can add fields for selection. You can add "Cost Center" as one of the selection parameter from SPRO.
IMG-MM-Inventory management and Physicl inventory -Reporting-Define field selection for Material document list
when you select this it wil display the fileds you can add for selection screen. If you page down this you can find "Cost center" MSEG-KOSTL , bydefault not Tick marked for Selection screen.
If the entry is not in the list you can add by clikcing the "New entries" Tab
Program --> RM07DOCS
Table --> MSEG
Field name --> KOSTL.

Substitution for Cost Center

Dear all,
I need to use substitution for cost center in some business scenario. Because FI document is automatically created by SD MM side, so cost center maynot be filled in if this account is configured for default accoun assignment in OKB9.
Now, I want to define a substitution for Cost center field. Such as: if some combination is met, cost center will be filled with A or B ..... (depends on the combination of prerequisites).
But when I create Substitution, I cannot find field Cost center BSEG-KOSTL in Substitutable fileds Table.
Do you know how to do it ?

See table GB01 for field KOSTL.
The field EXCLUDE are assigned? If positive that´s should be the cause of your problem.
Disable this mark to turn field KOSTL able to substitution.

Cost Center to Location relationship

We would like to make our cost center (ANLZ-KOSTL) to automatically fill-in a location (ANLZ-STORT) with the Asset Master.
We have approximately 1500 different cost centers so obviously substitution would become very lengthy.
An example would be I have cost center X, Y, Z and Locations 1,2,3 respectively.
When an asset is filled with cost center X, I want it to automatically fill in the Location with 1
Y would fill in with 2
Z with 3
Does anybody know how to make this happen?

Aside from setting up a substitution do you know anyway of using the Cost Center Hierarchy for these changes.
Or do you know a way to associate the substitution to a cost center group rather than the individual cost center, because our cost centers are not set up within a range, it would require an extensive substitution

Special Ledger Cost Center

Hi,
What is the sender and receiver cost center. If we check special ledger table then there are 2 fields in it cost center and receiver cost center. For the settlement entries cost center value appears in the field receiver cost center.

PKOSTL = is the receiver cost center while KOSTL = CNTR is your sender cost center. Also you will observe in the object table 1 the sender cost center "KOSTL' is marked "tick" for sending.

Report FGI0-Cost center Code

Hi,
I am using the TS FGI0 to see the report '0SAPBLNC-01' with the opction 'object list' (I use NewGL). I modified the report (TS FGI2) copying the standard and adding the characteristic 'cost center', but the report shows only the text of the cost center, not the field 'KOSTL'. I also need to see the code of the cost center field 'KOSTL', like the division characteristic (text and code). Any idea?

The object list is designed as such for these reports...
If you execute in Drilldown option, Once you execute the report, Click on SETTINGS > Char Display... Choose Key & Name
However, see note Note 991753 - No description for Cost Element in New GL Drilldown, if it helps

Infotype Header Data - Cost center- System to read the latest data

Dear Group Members,
I am modifying Infotype Header data and calling Cost center (Field - KOSTL) in header data via modifying header data in table T588J. The cost center values appears on the header data (As stored in Infotype 0001) however it appears with the oldest data. i.e. if the employee cost center had been changed after his joining system does not picked up the Latest data/ Latest cost center value.
Any one on how to resolve this issue with SAP Standard functionality.

The answer to your question lies in table V_582A_B. You can either access it through SM30 or by following IMG path:
SPRO>Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Customizing User Interfaces>Change Screen Header>Header structure per infotype
There is a u201Cchoose datau201D indicator for each infotype. If that is checked, the header displays data as per the start date of infotype displayed; otherwise, it shows data valid as of system date. Please bring up SAP help on the field by F1 for more information.
Also check table T588H (data selection field) as it has some dependencies for the above mentioned settings. The table can be brought up from:
SPRO>Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Customizing User Interfaces>Change Screen Header> Infotype header data selection control

Cost center (KOSTL) is not updating in HR master table for infotype 0001

Hi ABAP gurus,
We have one interface where we are posting the HR master data using the IDOC (IDOC_INPUT_HRMD) into SAP.
While updating cost center, We have one issue regarding infotype 0001.
It is working fine for all the fields except: KOSTL, ORGEH, STELL. Surprisingly the created IDOC contains the value in these fields but it is not getting updated in master table PA0001. I have tryied inserting the value manually and it is working fine and tried with BDC Programming and no issues. Only we have this issue while we want to use the IDOC. This is mandatory in our interface.
While debugging the IDOC function module I found that one condition is there for these three fields.
CHECK NOT inte IS INITIAL. where inte value is being fetched from table t77s0 based on
GRPID = PLOGI
SEMID = ORGA
In this condition I see no value for this combination and hence it is not getting further. I am not sure how this condition does exist for only these three fields and not for others.
Can any please provide the reasona and solution for this.

Try assigning your cost center to position it will default both your org unit and cost center.

Find the KOSTL(cost center) value using coing group and coding code

Hi,
Can we get the value cost center Kostl by using coding code and coding group. As per the requirement the coding group is specified in the table qmel-qmgrp and the coding code is qmel-qmcod.. So by using this values only can we get the KOSTL value..Please do help me in this regard.

so the thing is for the particular coding group QMGRP we have the coding codes QMCOD assigned to it and for the transaction QM01 we cannot have the notification number (as this number is generated only after the transaction is completed)only the notification type is specified in first screen after we press enter a subscreen with Production order number is specified press enter,
later in the first tab strip specify any material number and also plant number later the defect location and defect type, later in the subject tab strip in the coding group we get the F4 help for the coding code and group,there by picking any of the elements we also get the KOSTL value in text so i was just worried where can we get this value i have checked for the options that u have specified but this doesn't work for me...

I have a requirement, where i must make a modification in transaction MB1A in the following way:
On the second screen "Enter Goods Issue: New items" i must fill automatically the Cost Center field, based on the Order number (after the Enter).
How can I do this?
I've tried with a substitution in GGB1 but it didn't worked:
select single kostv from coas into cobl-kostl where aufnr = cobl-aufnr.

When parking FI document in transaction FV 60 document is stored in VBKPF table. I would need cost center KOSTL. this is not entered in table VBKPF.

I know that one Maintenance Plant(SWERK) can corresponds to many cost centers(KOSTL) while creating Equipment in IE01 T Code.
I am working on IE01 Transaction of PM module.
I want to know that whether one Cost Center can corresponds or can be used for many different plant while creating Equipment.

You can see this scenerio while making PO's with account assignment K....If req. can try it...

Cost Center in 0EC_PCA_1 or KOSTL in GLPCT table ???

I'm buiding a Cube with two data source 0EC_PCA_1 (For PLAN) and 0EC_PCA_3 (For actuals). Now I could load the data in to Cube and my report is showing correct, except thatmy plan values are not showing as cost center is not available in EC_PCA_1 (GLPCT table). I tried to enhance it from 0cost_center master , but the cost centeres are not populated correctly. Does any one have any idea or any one worked this scenerio before...All I need is Cost center info for plan values from EC_PCA_1...
