Cost Center Report with Cost Element wise Subtotal

Hi All,
We have a requirement where customer wants a Cost Center report with Cost Element wise Subtotal and selection options required are Company Code, Cost Center, Cost Element.
KSB1 solves the requirement, but when executed for 2 or more company codes it is taking 3 to 4 hours.
The other alternative report we tried is S_ALR_87013611- Actual/Plan but this report gives debit and credit values in seperate columns.
Please let me know if we can copy the report S_ALR_87013611 and change it using report writer to have the output by Cost Element wise total.
Also please let me how we can increse the speed of KSB1 report.

for KSB1 Report the following is my suggestion
1. Please go to the selection criteria for the cost elements and de select the secondary cost elements in the the exclude range and try running the report this is generate the report faster.
2. also check the date range please give the date range for 3 t months and if you want to run for multiple company codes. if you want to execute it for longer periods say 9 months or 6 months generate the report in 2 to 3 installments and download them to your excel and consilidate them in excel for your analysis

Budgeting -Internal order - monthly -cost element wise

Hi!
Got a problem! Want budget for single internal order - cost element wise. We created one employee as internal order. For this internal order, want budget for Telephone exp Rs. 500 /- per month, Travelling Rs.1000/- per month.
I checked in budgeting and came to know that we can budget for one internal order for one year not month wise. Another thing is we cannot budget cost element wise.
Is there any solution for this requirement. Pls. let me know.

As you righly mentioned budgeting is not possible cost element wise/period.
If you want for planning/reporting purpose alone (and not for availability control) you can create a seperate plan version and use cost planning with cost element and period wise.

Key figures in cost element based report

Dear All,
I have created a Cost Element based Report for the Project using report painter. In this same report, I want to pull a key figure(the key figure is 'remaining forecast planned costs") which is coming from cost forecasting report (Report 12CTC1 from transaction CJE0).
The issue is this 'key figure' is not available for report made in report group 6P3(report group for cost element based report). Is there anyway I can pull this particular key figure in my report.

Also if you're using HR data, the employee data is time dependent, so that for each employee number there are any number of records. This may be causing the aggregate reporting condition that you mentioned. In BW it's important to recognize that the master data also can play a role in how many records are returned. The infoprovider is not the only source of additional records. For example:
Employee has three records in the time range.
Salary infoprovider has only one.
Results will contain THREE records, one for each employee record, all with the same salary record. On an aggregate basis, the salary results will be multiplied by three.
Time dependent master data can be a source of much confusion. For some HR reporting, I have created a 'most current' employee master data record that is not time dependent, and is loaded daily. I then use that for data models such as salary or other separate infoproviders.

for vendor select dynamic selection and select ORIGN DATA Tab here you will get vendor field.

Cost Center Budget-Cost element wise

Dear SAP Gurus,
My client needs to create cost center budgets cost element wise. For e.g. Salary paid (code 430000) in Development Cost center (code 9901).
We now use KPZ2 to create cost center budgets and KP06 for cost element planning. Kindly guide.

Thank you for the reply. I did suggest them to use KP06 but they require some sort of validation when posting an expense (cost element) to and cost center.
For e.g. If the travel budget for Marketing cost center is $1000, they need the system to prevent posting once that amount is exceeded.
Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

I have an option which i am guessing is in T.Code-7KE1 you can give ur controlling name> give the layout name>version>from period>to period>fiscal year>co.code>profit center>account number>free in Entry down>select in top 2nd buttion period screen (F6) and ENTER so now you can give ur budget cost element wise for each and every month.

Cost Element wise Budget is not there in SAP. these are the possiable soluation for your Quarry.
1. Cost Element wise Planning is Possiable, but is different from the Budget.
2. But a valadition for Each Cost Element to Internal Order link, then Create a Budget for Internal Order. in this way you will get
Internal Order Budget based on Cost element.
Revert Back.

Cost Center wise Report

Hi,
How to display monthly expenditure related to a Cost Center. I tried the standard report but there it is showing accumulatived figure for 12 months. But I want to show monthly expenditure related to a Cost Center.
General selections:
Controlling Area - XXXX,
Fiscal Year - 2009,
Posting Period from -1 to - 12,
Cost Center - 1000
Then it should like below format.
Cost Element            APRIL       MAY     JUNE        JULY ...............   TOTAL YEAR
Stationery                10               -           50              -                                 60
Salaries                   150          125           -             225                             500
Admin Exp.              25             10            -               -                                 35
TOTAL                    185          135          50            225                            595
If we select only 2 months, then only 2 months expenditure should be display in the above format. I tried the in the report painter but if I am selecting the Period in the column then it is not coming in the General selections. If I am selecting Period under General selections then in the report it is shoing cumulative figure.
So can some one please through some light on this.

I copied the Standard Report from 1VK. Problem is, My clinet wants to select give the Transaction date in the general selection and then he want to see the same in the month wise report. For ex.
Controlling are - XXXX
Period or Date - 01.04.2009 to 31.05.2009
Cost Center - 1000 and Execute.
Then Report should be display APRIL and MAY expenditure seperatly. This is the requirement.
My problem is, if I am selecting the period in the column then I am not able to specify the same in the general selection.

Preparation of cost center wise report

hello experts,
I want to know the tcode for cost center wise expenses reports.
i have tried the ksb1 but it is working only for one cost center at a time.
i want to prepare the cost center expenses report for all cost center in company in following format.

Amount
what procedure should i follow?

You can use KSB1 but create a Cost Center Group with KSH1 to make it easier. You can also create a group of groups to form a hierarchy so you can analyze at different levels. Hope that helps.

Cost center/Cost element summarize report

Hi,
I would like to know if there is any report to display cost center data summarize by cost element, displaying in one column cost center, in another one cost element and in another one the amount.
I have done it in KSB5 but I have to display all the information and the summarize and it takes a lot of time, is there any other option to obtain this information?

What about this one? S_ALR_87013611 - Cost Centers: Actual/Plan/Variance
If you don't want cost centre to appear in the tree, but just next to cost element, you can create your own report based on this one, putting cost centre field in the main layout (GRR1).

Cost center wise report(KSB1)

Hi Exports,
For myco.code cost centers are mandatory while posting transactions but if i go for ksb1 it will not show any values why is there any thing i missed.

Before going to KSB1, go to OKKS and set your controlling area.
Go to KSB1
Give your cost centers or cost center group
Give your cost elements or cost element group.
Make sure that you are giving proper Posting Date.
Important

Make sure that your layout is "1SAP"

WBS element wise report

I want to make a report which contains storage location wise WBS element stock. Is it their in the base product, i have tried through mb51 but it is not very convincing.

Hi Rashid
You have to create a z report for this.
Make use of MB52 report where in you can see Sales Order and Line Item number under special stock number column.
Based on the Sales order and Line item number you can fetch WBS of the respective SO and LI.
Take help od your ABAP er for this.
This will meet youe requirement.
