Cost of lumia 720 battery

As the battery backup of my Lumia 720 has dropped significantly I would like to have the battery replaced. Can someone help me with the price of battery and if the battery could be replaced

Hi, vinay1990. farby has a point in sending your phone to a Care Point for the battery of it to be fixed. But before sending your phone to a Care Point, have you tried isolating the case if there is really a problem with the battery? You may try performing the tips provided on this link: How can I prolong the battery life of my Lumia phone?. Link is intended for another region, but still helpful. Let us know the outcome.

sorry i don't know. the battery btw is 2000mah, i dont know if that would help. are u planning something?
..btw., i think it would be best if you refer to the current input of the ac adaptor that comes with it. it may be able to take a bit more than that but i really won't want to experiment and later on possibly ruin my unit.

Lumia 720 battery

Hi everybody... Anyone having Lumia 720 ? What about the battery backup u are getting? I am getting only 6-7 hours of net using only. Battery drain very fast. After full charge it shows only 16 hours stanby left with battery saver on. Is this normal?

As advised by other members of the forum, it will take a couple of charge/discharge cycles for the battery to be stable.

Lumia 720 battery life?

Im a bit concerned about my phones battery life. nokia claimed it to be its longest battery smartphone but i have to charge it every 2 days (average use) . Is it normal for lumia 720 or my peiece is defective?

if your 'average use' includes a moderate amount of :
- sms
- calls
- internet browsing
- playing audio / video
that's normal.
when mine's really sober. no calls, just reading sms, and my regular daily alarm... i charge mine about every 4 days.
note, location service, gps, wifi, bluetooth rf, nfc, are not stuff average most folks may use all day. these items greatly use up the battery's charge.
on the average, my fone uses about 1-2% of it's charge per hour. on heavy use, the battery meter indicates a drain of about 7-8% per hour.
these are approximate figures only but may help...

Lumia 720 battery problem

I have been using my lumia 720 for almost a month now...
right now i am experiencing sudden loss of battery charge retention
Except my 2G connection all other network services are disabled(i have turned off location services, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2G Data Connection, no back ground applicatons either).
To test i fully discharged my lumia then charged to 100%
The "Battery Saver" in "Settings read" - Remaining battery life : 100%
Estimated Time remaining : 1 day 18 hours(Then i made a couple of calls(not more than 1 minute)
Then Remaining battery life : 97%
if i play music it drops to 50% in less than couple of hours
Are any of you experiencing this??

@Libbra - are you on 3G or WiFi? both the wireless connection options will consume more power.
Try this out, charge your Lumia 720 overnight. Unplug in the morning, and find out if there is any change in your battery charge retention.
i had tried out the above and battery charge retention improved. it lasted 4 days with occassional browsing over WiFi, some calls over 2G and occassional Nokia Maps Navigation. it didnt die on 4th day but i charged it up anyway.
The problem i reported earlier still prevails. if i remove the battery charging once it reaches 100% the charge retention is not good.

Lumia 720 poor battery

Few days back i got Lumia 720, flaunted by best battery reviews. But from day 1 i am experiencing poor battery performance. WiFi,data,nfc,Bluetooth,background service,sync all off, but battery still drains fast. After full charge it does not last more than 12 hrs. Even in one night it drains 10%for nothing.
while other people say they need to charge around every 2.5days approx, i have to charge every 12hrs & that too without enjoying the phone apps. I believe there is some battery problem. Totally unexpected. Pls suggest anyone..

My 4 days old Lumia 720 too shows some battery draining issues like others.
After charging to 100% it shows 1 day 6 hours remaning, **bleep**? People are getting more than a day, like 2 in some cases. At least it should hold itself for 1 and half day where here I am getting "9-10 hours/16-17 hours of last recharge."
I tried draining the battery to 0, but at 2% Lumia powers down. I did a complete charge and still nothing.
Did a soft recent, nope no chages at all....still 9-10 hours max !!
My approx usage:-
WhatsApp for max 30minutes
FB, Twitter, LinkedIn all combined a 30minutes
2 to 2 and half hours of calls whole day
Decent rate for messaging through message app
Camera for 10-15 minutes
No Games, if any then may be for 5-6 minutes
Browsing for 20 minutes
apps such as calculator, calender, note, PDF reader, Office for 1 hour
Other small fiddiling (reArraging tiles, assinging pics to contacts, etc)
battery Saver on
Background app is blocked, the ones Windows have allowed me to block
Brightness set to low
Wi-Fi is off, though Data conection is on throughout
Gmail is sent o recive mails ever hour, if any
How on earth is it taking so much battery?

Non removable battery lumia 720

Hey guys
Im from india and new to this forum and looking to buy a lumia 720. The phone is wonderful to look at, has decent specs as per my requirements. The only thing stopping me from buying the phone is the fact that it has a non removable battery. Im getting this phone for a long term use, 3 years atleast. I am worried as to whether the battery will drain soon, if the battery can be changed when it drains out, how tedious the procedure will be and if itll burn a hole in my wallet. I want a phone with decent battery back up and the 2000mAh seems up to that task. Could you also tell me what the average battery backup of the 720 is

The 720 battery is not user replaceable but it can easily be replaced by any Nokia Care Point. If you want a Lumia with user replaceable battery, you should consider the 820.

hi mate, in this case you will need to persist with your Nokia Care location until the issue is resolved to your satisfaction.

Known Issue in Nokia Lumia 720 - Virtual keys stop...

Hi Nokia lumia 720 bottom virtual keys stops working after some time.............. only solution is to replace screen which costs 7000.... Is there any permanent solution? pls help

Did you try any troubleshooting steps ?
1.Simple Reboot
2. Soft Reset : Press and hold Power + Volume(down) keys until the phone vibrates (about 8-10 seconds). - All data will remain intact
3. Factory Reset : settings-->about-->reset your phone - Data will be erased and phone will need re-setup from start
4. Nokia Software Recovery Tool - Data will be erased and phone will need re-setup from start.
If nothing from the above solves it, it's an Hardware issue that needs to be attended by Nokia care technician... which may lead to a spares replacement.

I bought a new Lumia 720 from Spice Mobile Nokia dealer about 4 days ago and it has started giving problems now. My phone went dead even with full battery. It was really unexpected and disappointing that you buy a Rs. 18000 phone with no reliability of the phone or service. The dealer shirks of his earlier claims that he will replace my phone in the first 7 days of anny problem. He now clearly says no - such cheats you have your dealers as. They dont even know your policies or give false claims - marring your reputation in the market. Then I went to Nokia Care center only to find that they treated me with no sympathy but rudely to tell me that the phone can have such issues and that they dont have any policy to replace the phone. What they did only was to update the software and told me that the phone is fixed. But I have been finding this problem of the phone getting dead almost every day. After it is dead and we try to open it with all 3 buttons, it removes all my previous messages and calls data from the phone memory. It hangs at times when many applications are open. How unreliable it could be!! Or is it so badly that LUMIA works unlike shown in its advertisements?
Why the hell would I want to get my phone repaired right in the first week? Why cant Nokia do enough testing before releasing its handsets or just replace the phone when it is found faulty.
I have decided that if Nokia does not replace my phone now even, I will move to the Consumer Court against both Nokia and its dealer.
Please contact me asap if you want to save a particular consumer community. Yes, I am really frustrated by your product and service.

Lumia 720 completely dead

So, my quite new, undamaged Lumia 720 has gone completely dead.
I took some photos and soon after that shut it off for the night to conserve battery (which was at 47% at this point). The las photo doesn't show up at skydrive, so I shut the phone off when it was still syncing. Next morning I tried to start it up again, no response. Tried soft and hard reset combinations, nothing. Put it on charger for 6 hours, nothing. Tried soft and hard reset again without sim & sd, nothing.
There have been no reactions whatsoever, even when I tried to charge the phone up. No vibrations, no sounds, nothing on the screen.
Up until now it has worked quite well, apart from a few crashes that needed soft reset.
So, can I do anything to fix it, or do I have to take it back? I'm not really interested in using my old samsung again for weeks...

I got my new 720 in June 2013. Absolutely love it but then in early November it died. Had to send it off to NSW (No Nokia repair in Perth, WA). Allphones were good at organising the repair logistics
Phone was fixed and sent back after 2 weeks. Issue was something to do with camera flex. Then it broke again early December, unable to turn on, I tried soft and hard resets still no go. Now it s off again for 2nd warranty repair.
I asked for replacement as I need to travel overseas for Xmas, but not joy. So my phone will be repaired again and will be there wating for me when I return from holidays. Very painful, experience.

My lumia 720 stops responding

My Lumia 720 stops responding. This is happening frequently while unlocking screen or sometimes while doing some other task. This issue has come up after gettiing updates

Which updates are you refering to exactly? If this issue has started after updating your phone to the GDR2/Amber update then you may need to perform a soft reset or a hard (factory) reset of the device.
To soft reset the phone, simply press and hold the volume down and power keys at the same time for approximately 12 seconds until you feel the phone vibrate. The phone will then restart and boot up normally. No personal data is deleted from the phone but you may have to reset the date and time as these are restored to factory defaults.
There are two ways to perform a hard (factory) reset. One way is to go to Settings > About > Reset your phone.
However, some people have reported that this method results in the phone getting stuck on the "spinning cogs" screen until the battery runs out. You can search these forums for "spinning cogs" then you will see what I mean. I've actually suffered the same thing myself but was fortunate enough to be able to recover by following one of the solutions mentioned in one of those topics.
The second method of factory resetting the device is a little more involved but having used this method myself and not getting the spinning cogs issue I've decided that this is safer.
Turn the phone off then press and hold the volume down button. Continue to hold volume down whilst connecting the mains USB charger. You should now see an exclamation mark on the screen.
Now press the following buttons in this exact order. Volume UP > Volume DOWN > Power > Volume DOWN.
The phone will now restart and reset itself into factory defaults. ALL personal user data will be deleted from the phone which will be returned to an "out of the box" condition. So before you attempt to factory reset your phone make sure to back-up all personal user data before hand.

Lumia 720 (mint used) or 532 (new)??

OK I need to finally upgrade from my old C5-00 as the maps aren't really working any more and would like Wifi & skype.
I have the choice of a 720 in mint used condition or a new dual SIM 532 for the same price. I don't game on my phone - am looking for mostly Maps (offline mode) support, skype (hence the choice of two phones with front cameras) , Whatsapp, and some other general apps.
I like the slightly smaller size of the 532, dual SIM, replaceable battery and the newness with warranty of the 532.
I like the camera with autofocus and flash, slightly slimmer and compass of the 720(although i don't really use the camera much on my phones)
Is the 512mb of the 720 going to be an issue?
Is the lack of Compass on the 532 for navigation (mostly bicycle and driving) going to be a problem?
What are evryone's opinions and why ?

Lumia 820 has 1.5 ghz processor, 1gb ram bt doesn't look cool n around 6k more in price, n Lumia 720 has great look, better camera quality (both primary n secondary) BUTTTTT jus 512 mb ram, 1 Ghz processor,

Guys, I am planning to change my phone soon. i am using Nokia E6 for last two years and confotable with its performance. Though I had a bitter experience (you can read my experience HERE) at the begginning, it never came back after rectification done at nokia care. I am happy with its performance now. However, since it has a small screen, sometimes i feel difficult to select a link with finger while surfing through internet. That is the reason i am looking for a new one with bigger screen size. I was actually looking for Lumia 820 or 720 for which I am still confused to decide one. Request the experts to help me to select one. Which is better for my moderate use? i am using my phone mainly for calls, emails, photos and web browsing. I am not curious about games, music etc... Please help me to chose one.
