Cost of Skype calling a UK mobile number in India

Hi there
I want to call someone with a UK mobile number through skype, using PAYG, but he's in India. Does anyone know how much that will cost?
If you don't know, could you please at least tell me whether it will be charged at the normal India rates or at other rates? It's important that this information is accurate, so if you're just guessing the answer, please make that clear.

If the recipient has a UK cellphone # you will be charged at UK cellphone calling rates. The recipient's location is irrelevant.

The list of countries where skype-to-go is available does not include either of these 2 countries. Vietnam is listed as a country where this service is not available. YET, when i input Vietnam as the proposed destination country, the webpage shows 2 rates I can choose from.

2. You can call almost anywhere in the world with STG from any country which supports STG.

Calling a German mobile number that is located in ...

Hello,
I'm German and I will be in Sweden soon. My boyfriend is Belgian and wants to skype me on my German mobile number because I won't have internet there. We thought about either booking an EU-Package or a Sweden-Package. As I will be in different country as the called mobile number is from, I was wondering which country the call goes to - Sweden or Germany?

Hi, your boyfriend will be calling a German mobile number, so a package which covers German numbers is what you need, however you will be roaming in Sweden and you will have to check what your German network is going to charge you to recieve calls in Sweden.

you have to make sure that CFWD Bridge Mode under the Line tab of the SPA9000 where the SPA400 is registered is set to ALL...include VMSP Bridge and XFER Bridge Mode as well..power cycle then check if you are still getting one-way audio

You’re debited the mobile rate, otherwise they specify "Russia – mobile, Moscow".
UPDATE: If you’re using pay-as-you-go all prices can be found here: http://www.skype.com/en/rates/ – just search for the country you want to call to and then click "View all PAYG calling rates*". (Maybe you knew that, but it’s good info for others finding this thread .)

Calling landline number in India

Hi Team, I understand that there is a restriction on Skype to phone call in India. If I have to assume, that would mean a Skype endpoint logged from India wont be able to call a landline/mobile phone in India. YOu will need some phone dialing software which you would interface to Forms vis ORA_FFI or using the Java Importer. The ability to dial a phone is not native to Forms.

There is one way you can still achieve it by using the Mobile connect (SNR).
In the Remote Destination you have the option to ring your mobile based on your requirement.
Please see the attached screenshot for the same.
So user need to enable the Mobile connect on friday all calls will go to the Mobile phone # (Remote destination).
Also delay before ringing should be 0 ms.
Please refer to the Mobile connect configuration guide for the same.

When using Skype to Go to call an overseas mobile number, does the recipient get charged by their mobile company to receive the call. For example on O2 you are charged to receive calls on your mobile when abroad and I don't want to cost friends money when I call them ...

I have the same problem with registered phone number in USA. I'd like to change one previously registered landline phone number to another one, but only I can get is the message "This number has already been registered"

For you, your UK mobile phone may already be all you want for a call to another UK mobile number. You'd have to consult with your mobile carrier to confirm the rates for you to call another UK mobile number. Then you would be making a call from your UK phone to a US number. Skype would probably be a cheaper alternative for you in that instance. How much cheaper it is for your contact would be based on the plan he/she has on a US-based SIM and prepaid mobile plan.

Online Number is not forwarding calls to my mobile

Hi,
I have gone premium and selected unlimited landline for Australia. I have then bought an Online Australian Number. After setting up call forward to my Indian Mobile Number the calls are not getting forwarded, although the calls appear on Skype Client when I'm online. I have tried setting privacy and all that stuff, but it yet does not work. In the Call Forward tab following message is displayed: "All calls forwarded to phones covered by your subscription are included at no extra cost. Other destinations will be charged at our low per minute rates."
Am I missing something? Do I still need to buy credit? Thanks so much,

Hello,
Skype Number enables you to receive calls on your Skype account and the caller will be charged local rates.
To receive calls to your Skype Number, you should be online on your Skype application, or you can enable call forwarding and voice messaging. And also, please make sure that you are signed in to only one device.
Please make sure that you have set up your Privacy Settings to "Received calls from anyone."
Sign in to Skype.
Tap the menu icon .
Select Settings.
Go to Receive calls from option.

Forwarded calls costing me Skype credit.

I have an unlimited world subcription. Yesterday my girlfriend called my Skype number (in LA) and the call was forwarded to my UK mobile number. The call lasted just over 50 minutes and cost me £7.67. Upon further inspection, I realised I've been charged for every forwarded call since I began using a Skype number with call forwarding. Shouldn't this service be covered by my unlimited world subscription per the description on this page?

Hi,
Please be informed that if the number you want your Skype calls to be forwarded to is within the area covered by your subscription, then it will not cost you any extra. If it is not, then it will cost a little Skype Credit and this will be charged at our regular per minute rate.
If you have Unlimited World subscription and set up incoming calls be forwarded to your UK mobile number, it is normal for you to be charged at our regular rate, as your subscription covers calls to UK landline number only.
You may view the countries included in your subscription and you may check if it covers calls to landline only, or both landline and mobile:
1. Sign in to your account: http://www.skype.com/go/myaccount
2. On the left panel, click your subscription.
3. Next to your subscription, click Settings. A summary of your subscription is displayed on the left. Click the destinations link to see what countries are covered.
You can also browse the countries that are covered by each subscription on our website:
1. Go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/prices/pay-monthly/
2. Enter your chosen country into the search box Which country do you want to call?
You can then view which subscriptions are available for which countries, and which countries are covered by our Unlimited Europe and Unlimited World subscriptions.
