Hi,
In PM cost receiver is linked to settlement of work order.Wherein during settlement cost is moved from work order to settlement receiver which is cost receiver.This receiver is part of controlling and can be either single or multiple cost centres,WBS,internal order etc.
Cost receiver during settlement receives costs from work order which are comined or cumulative cost of internal labour cost + material cost+service cost etc.

I'm trying to tune some SQL and wondering about the cost of using DECODE. I believe that by using this function, it prevents any index on the related column from being used.

As a general rule, the Oracle built-in functions are pretty fast to execute. You will not really see any difference in performance between a sql statement using a built-in function in the SELECT clause, and one not using one.
However, a lot depends on where and how you use the DECODE.
SELECT col1,DECODE(col2,1,'YES',2,'NO',3,'MAYBE')
FROM table
will be no slower than
SELECT col1,col2
FROM table
If there is an index on col2, then
SELECT col1,DECODE(col2,1,'YES',2,'NO',3,'MAYBE')
FROM table
WHERE col2 BETWEEN 1 AND 3
will use it. However
SELECT col1,col2
FROM table
WHERE DECODE(col2,1,'YES',2,'NO',3,'MAYBE') IN ('YES','NO','MAYBE')
will not (unless you have a function based index). But,
SELECT col1,col3
FROM table
WHERE col2 BETWEEN 1 and 3 and
col3 = DECODE(col2,1,'YES',2,'NO',3,'MAYBE') IN ('YES','NO','MAYBE')
will.Note that "will" in the above really means can. it is up to the optimizer whether it actually is used or not.

We have a SOAP to PROXY scenario Which is in Production.
We keep getting the Error:
" Problem while determining receivers using interface mapping: "SYSTEM FAILURE" during JCo call. Bean SMPP_CALL_JAVA_RUNTIME3 not found on host XXXXXX, ProgId =AI_RUNTIME_XXX.
We are using Standard Receiver Determination with single receiver without any condition. And no mapping being used in interface determination.
What are all the possible situation where we face such as this issue in Production.

Personal Hotspots are control by your carrier. My carrier is Verizon and with my plan there is no additional cost for a hotspot.

Average Headcount for Cost Center using Infotype 0027

Hi everybody,
has any of you experience calculating an average headcount for cost center using the information of infotype 0027.
As far as I know the infosources por PA-PA does take into account the infotype 0027 and the employee is just count for the master cost center.
I can not find the way to split the employee in different cost centers.
Any help will be very useful.

Cost assignement using infotype 2003

Hello,
How can I change cost assignement using Infotype 2003.
I have created the infotype 2003 with the ney cost center, and table C1 is generated in the time evaluation, but in payroll the cost center is still the master cost center of IT0001.
How can I change the cost center using infotype 2003 and transfered to the payroll?

So I can understand that the cost center will not be changed from IT2003 for the payroll, it only be changed if change in IT0001 or IT0027. true?
Why IT2003 have the option to change cost assignment?
I was doing some tests and could see that if a time wage type (for example an attendance) is generated in the same period of the IT2003 these wage type is transfered to the payroll with the new cost assignment . Is it the standard behavoir of the IT2003?
The only way to change the cost assignment for all the payroll (instead of IT0001) for a period is using IT0001 or IT0027?

Updating Unit Cost by using Actual Cost Adjustments

How can we adjust Unit Cost by using Actual Cost Adjustments Window?
By giving Cost Adjustment without giving Adjustment Qty, the amount was adjusted to total quantity (transacted during the period). But I want to increase unit cost by a fixed amount. Is there any option?

there are some patches released by oracle 5-6 months back(5003789 and 4735489) having this feature.
There is also a meatalink note is available,expalins this cost adjustment type called Unit Cost Adjustment.This is the way it works.....
The Actual Cost process now supports this new adjustment type where you adjust
the actual unit cost of the item with the specified cost. The Actual Cost process
calculates the cost of the item per the current logic and then applies this unit cost
adjustment to calculate the new adjusted cost. This adjusted cost becomes the new actual cost of the item.First the New Unit Cost (without the Unit Cost Adjustment) is calculated.The Unit Cost Adjustment is included only after the Actual Cost is calculated based on the existing Adjustment types. Then, the New Unit Cost (with the Unit CostAdjustment) is calculated.

Here's the deal.
Wifi is in and of itself, only an extension of an existing service.
So, if you have DSL/Cable at home, you hookup a wireless router to make your existing service wireless.
Now...some coffee shops/malls/airports, etc. have free wireless.
In that case, you pay nothing at all.
In the case of the first example, you're already paying for internet.
You don't have an EXTRA cost when using wifi, but the cost of the internet already exists.
So...maybe more confusing, but the bottom line is that if you already have internet at home, you only need a wireless router, and there's no extra cost for using it wirelessly.
Wifi is not generally free and available like a cell phone network (yet)
