Cost resources not included in EV calculations

I am trying to figure out the logic behind this. When you are looking at all of the costs of a project to compute EV, cost resources should be included. Material resource values, work resource values and fixed costs are included. What
is the reason that cost resources have been excluded? In my opinion this is not correct and they should be included. Many of my clients use cost resources for the flat amount contractors performing jobs where hours collection is not needed. They
also use them for added costs to the project like travel and equipment rentals. Cost resource values become part of the baseline value - why not EV?

Ellen and I have been having an email conversation and I see what she is reporting. If you have assign both work and material resources and only update the material resource "actual work" the % complete does not update. However, if
you update the % complete, both a work resource and materials resources get "actual work".
So, the moral of the story seems to be: (1) If using both work and material resources on a single task, update the actual work for both resources to show "progress". or (2) assign only material resources to tasks.
I guess I don't see a huge issue with material and work resources assigned - as the bricks (in our example) cannot lay themselves - a bricklayer (work) is required.

OPM Actual Costing (PMAC) not including AP Invoice transactions in 12.1.3 version. We have set profile GMF:Include Receipts in Actual Cost = 0, GMF:Include Invoices in Actual Cost = 1 still AP Invoice not included in OPM Actual costing.
Observed, Invoices which has IPV are shown as in Actual transaction view with line source as "Invoice Price Variance". I was looking for a line source with "AP invoice" and "IPV"(if exisits) in Actual transaction view screen.

Cost elements not included in Cost Component

We are getting an error which I do not get any clue.
In the costing run message is coming that Cost elements 670001 & 400098 not assigned to a cost component. However, when I checked the cost component structure, both these cost elements are included there. Then why the system is saying that they are not included in the cost component ?

In the Costing data tab of the cost estimation screen you have Costing variant.
Click on the costing variant, then in the Assignment tab you have cost component structure filed click it and check which is being used.

Condition type for pricing came from PC but has not included the additive cost record

we have the pricing base for the sales order with the estimated cost from pc; our costing process has a posting record for additive cost is not included on the total cost is sent to the condition type EK02.
question: It is possible to include these kind of postings?, in fact, these record apear on the costing report as part of the cost of sales..

Two things,
1. Your condition type must be EK01 if you wanna use it in
Pricing
2. Additive cost in CK74 is at the level of material and plant. It is not at the level of sales order
If you wish to add costs manually in sales order cost estimate, then use Unit Costing as the costing method in your requirement class
Or use Product costing as costing method and use a costing sheet

SERVICE ORDER COST IS NOT FLOWING TO CONDITION TYPE EK01 IN SALES ORDER

My requirement is that the cost incurred in service order should flow to the condition type ek01.
we will be running the transaction dp90 to calculate the cost for the resources used.
the cost are getting calculated at service order level but this cost are not flowing to the billing item being generated from dp90 in the billing request.
the settings that i have made are as follows: I have maintained the condition type ek01in the sales pricing procedure. are there any other settings required by me to make.

Check out in Control data of Condition Type--PB00..Enter "NO Limitations" in Manual Entries. and check the 'Amout' and 'Value' and 'Delete' so that u can make changes to that condition type in line item in sales order.

Cost Elements not to br created

Which Cost Elements should not created againts the GL accounts apart from Assets & Laibilties' GL.
Like WIP change A/c should not created as Cost Elements.

There are different kind of Cost Elements which depends upon the Cost Element Category...
01: Primary costs / cost-reducing revenues
This cost element category can be debited for all primary postings, for example, in Financial Accounting (FI) or in Materials Management (MM).
Cost-reducing revenues are revenues that are to be handled in CO similarly to overhead costs, and which reduce the prices of an activity type or the costs to be assessed. This is the case, for example, with rent revenues, which reduce the room costs to be assessed. Cash discount amounts and exchange rate amounts are also cost-reducing revenues.
03: Accrual Calculation Using the Percentage Method
You can only use this cost element category during accrual calculation in Cost Center Accounting (component CO-OM-CCA) when you are using the percentage method. You can post directly from FI to take account of the actual costs incurred. The system also uses cost elements of this category to post the accrual amounts within Cost Center Accounting CO-OM-CCA.
If you do take actual costs into account (say, for additional costs), create cost elements of this category in Controlling (CO) only. The account must be defined in the chart of accounts, but you do not need to create the general ledger account in FI.
04: Accrual Calculation Using the Target=Actual Method
Used in Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM-CCA) only for accrual calculation when you are using the target=actual method. You can post costs directly from FI to register actual costs incurred. At the same time, the system uses this category of cost element to post accrual cost amounts within Cost Center Accounting CO-OM-CCA.
If you do take actual costs into account (say, for additional costs), create cost elements of this category in Controlling (CO) only. The account must be defined in the chart of accounts, but you do not need to create the general ledger account in FI.
11: Revenues
Used to post revenues. These revenues are generally posted during make-to-stock-production directly into the operating profit, or with make-to-order-production to the sales order.
In Controlling (CO) revenues are displayed with negative +/- sign. An exception to this is Profitability Accounting (CO-PA, costing-based), in which all values, including revenues, are displayed with a positive +/- sign.
12: Sales Deductions
Used to post deductible items (sales adjustments, sales corrections) such as discounts and rebates. Certain deductible items (freight charged separately in the invoice, surcharges for small quantities, special orders) are not classified as sales deductions, but as revenue elements.
You can use this category in the same manner as revenue elements (category 11). Values on cost centers are displayed as statistical only.
22: External Settlement
Used to settle order costs, project costs, or cost object costs to objects outside of CO. These objects could be assets (Asset Management), materials (Materials Management), or general ledger accounts (Financial Accounting). The R/3 System creates an accounting document when the costs are settled.
Cost elements of this category cannot be used for settlement within CO (cost centers, orders, projects, and so on). Use secondary cost element category 21 for this purpose. The system does not create an accounting document when costs are settled within CO.
U can also create the cost element for Balance Sheet Account for below mentioned purpose
90: Cost Elements for Balance Sheet Accounts in FI
Automatically assigned when you create cost elements in CO whose general ledger accounts in FI are asset reconciliation accounts (special balance sheet accounts), not income statement accounts. You cannot change this category in CO master data maintenance.
FI does not require CO account assignments to cost elements of category 90. However, if you enter an account assignment, it is only recorded statistically for true objects.
Category 90 cost elements enable you to check the budget of an order or project when you acquire fixed assets that can be directly capitalized. To do this, enter the capital investment order or the WBS element in the corresponding field of the asset master data. Asset Management (AM) ensures that the specified order or WBS element is automatically entered in the document during the asset acquisition.
In CO the order or WBS element is debited statistically. This statistical debiting is checked by the system using the budget during availability control.

Do not include some lines in Subtotals and totals in ALV

I am printing a report with all sale order details and Quantities( delveered ,conformed etc..) iam doing subtotals based on the material and Plant.
In this if the document date is less than the SY-DATUM, we should not include the quantity into the subtotals and totals, Only the orders wiht doc date GQ to Sy-datum then display them..
As of now I am using ALV grid display and doing the sums by
l_wa_fcat-do_sum = c_x. (field catalog) for the whole colom) but i want to avoid sum row from tehe calculation based on the condition.
<b>Do we have any way to achive this, like if we want to have separate color for a purticular Cell then we add an extra field in outout table and we link this field with layout-coltab_fieldname in the same way or any other way if we have</b>.

BI IP - Upload flat file - "requested resource not found" when typing URL

we tried to implement the "upload flat file" functionality (blog Marc Bernard). We followed the different steps and included the bug fixes as well. When we want to launch the URL in an internet explorer session we get message "requested resource not found".

when we use URL http://sapscmbid.vpkgrp.int:50100/ we see the screens of the portal so I presume this server and port is accurate (we use the same link for the planning modeler and this works fine).
The SICF service zrsplf_file_upload has been imported and has status active. Should we check other things as well?

Actual cost are not updating in prodcutcost collectors ( KKF6N) - Variances

We are facing the problem with the Variance calculation for product cost collectors.
The issue is When we are calulating the Variances for prodcut cost collectors the actual costs are not ( For few materials of BOM) updating.
Because of these the variances are showing high.....If I settele this variances to COPA, my copa report is will be going wrong.....
Please help me to comeout of this problem.

Material document 4900000006 does not include an accounting document

I created normal sales order, delivery and and released it thr VF01.
Then I created the RE document without order reference and PGR. But while checking the accounting documents in VL02N it gives the error as follows
Material document 4900000006 does not include an accounting document
Diagnosis
The system cannot find an accounting document for the material document 4900000006.
Possible reasons for this are:
The goods movement has no relevance to accounting. Therefore, the system did not generate an accounting document for the material document.
The material document is a document that was posted before Release 2.1. Such documents must be converted so that the system can find the relevant accounting document.
The procedure for the subsequent calculation of value is not active in your system. For further information, refer to the documentation on the program for valuating goods movements: RM07MWBU.
Procedure
Choose Continue and then choose another function.
Find out when the material document was created. If the document was created prior to the Release changeover, ask your system administrator to carry out the conversion of the documents. The individual steps required for document conversion are described in the Release Notes for Release 2.1B

Why simple functions are not included in iPhone?

My iPhone is a wonderful piece of equipment I can't leave home without (in addition of my Amex card :-)) But for the life of me, I can't understand why Apple could not include functions which are pretty much standard with all other inferior mobile phones. Simple functions such as bluetooth transfer between phone or just saving important sms from iPhone to computer. Nokia has a great Nokia PCSuite; Motorola has very useful MobileTools which allows full sync between mobile phone and computer. I got to ask the question ... WHY? WHY? WHY? Is there any apps developer out there that can develop an apps similar to Nokia PCSuite or MobileTools. I will be the first one to pay for it.

One of the long-standing free resources is the Kittmaster's Component Database which is maintained by Kittmaster (Chris) one of our proven active veterans of this board as well as a Beta Tester of the Circuit Design Suite. You will find a vast collection of already built parts in Multisim and Ultiboard formats that have been submitted by users like you that have register on kittmaster's database and that actively upload custom component creations. I encourage you to register and share.
NI has recently created the Circuit Design Community in response to requests from users around the world. The Circuit Design Community aims to provide an open resource for designers that need or would like to share Multisim components, Ultiboard footprints, sample design files and other documents that are of use for the design community. The basic difference between the Circuit Design Community and this Circuit Design Discussion Forum is that the Community is tailored for document and file sharing, whereas the Forum is designed with problem solving, tip sharing and general support questions in mind. Again, I encourage you not only to search, but also to share any components you may have created that are useful for other designers.
Most manufacturers that offer SPICE or PSPICE models in their websites would typically allow you to download them free of charge, in most cases accepting a license agreement. The first step is to identify who the manufacture of the part you are looking for is, as well as cross-reference manufacturers. Then search in their corresponding websites for the product folder or design resources section. If you find SPICE or PSPICE models you can easily import those when creating a new component, remember that Multisim is highly compatible with PSPICE models, and every new release adds more compatibility. If you cannot find the model, it does not hurts to call or email the manufacture and ask directly if they have such models, in many cases they are not advertised in the web.
Last, but not least, use your favourite internet search engine and see if anyone out there has posted or worked on a similar model.

Resource not found or internal server error when trying to edit location

Hi all,
ACS is appliance and version 5.2.0.26.7
The problem is after creating location under all locations.
When trying to click on the location name to edit location profile, there is an error page that shows
"ACS:Resource not found or internal server error"
But if click on the radio button and press the edit button at the bottom of page.
There is no problem.
Any on has the same problem?

I can't find any CDETS that exactly match what you describe but up to patch 10 of 5.2 the follwoing CDETS related to NDGs are included:
CSCtx83260
NDG locations not showing up on GUI
CSCtu02752
ACS 5.2 patch 8 cannot display long lists of NDGs
CSCtu04594
ACS 5.2.0.26.7 - only 50 NDGs shown on GUI with more than 100 configured

Resource Not Allowed

          Hi,
          I am using the following to forward it to a servlet
          <jsp:forward page="http://localhost:7001/SreeniWebApp/dbHandler">
          I get the following error in the browser
          HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed
          I have edited web.xml file to point it to the right class.
          When do you get that kind of error??
          I appreciate anybody for helping me this out.

          You can only use jsp:forward to a JSP in the same JVM (I think).
          Because you have included http://<hostname>:<port-no>,
          it looks like you are forwarding to another server. Try
          Removing the http://localhost:7001.
