Costcenter Hierarchy

Hi Everyone,
I got an incident where the there is no Child node of the CostCenter hierarchy is not available and Parent node alone is available in the Infopackage.
I haven't worked before on Hierarchy, it would be great if someone show the path the verify the hirarchies of CostCenter.

CostCenter Hierarchy selection in the Infopackage

Hi Everyone,
For CostCenter hierarchy, in the Infopackage Hierarchy Selection tab, I can able to find the Parent Node for loading, but there is no Child node available.
Can anyone help on how to bring the child node into the Hierarchy selection tab, and also how to check the Hierarchy node in ECC side.

Hi,
You can enter multiple single valus for any field in the infopackage. Just select the row for material type and then click on the insert duplicate button ( + sign ) which is at the bottom letf hand side in the 'Data Selection' tab within the infopackage. You will usually find this 'insert duplicate' icon next to the 'Check' push button.
You can insert as many rows as you want for material type by select the material type rown and clicking on this icon. You can then enter the three values in the three rows for material type.

Urgent! Hierarchy Nodes Missing in Queries

Hi,
For cost center hierarchy, some nodes r missing in the Query. I checked in the cost center hierarchy tab page. i could see all the nodes in 0Costcenter and as well as in source system. How can i get all the hierarchies nodes. what exactly the problem. why some nodes r missing.
please respond me immediately if any body faced with same kind of problem.

Once the Cost Centre Hierarchy is Created, it can be used in Profit Centre Reports.
Choose Financials -> Cost Accounting -> Profit Center Report ->Template.
Here Choose, the Cost Centre Hierarchy the you had created and generate the report.

BPS distribution over the big hierarchy

Hi,
I need to make a distribution based on the CostCenter hierarchy.
In BPS application user post values on the level of CostCenter and on upper nodes level (postable nodes in hierarchy).
- Values posted on CostCenter should be summarized up in the nodes levels.
- Values posted on the node level should be distributed on the CostCenter level.
Distribution should use all hierarchy relation for distribution rules (sender-receiver).
How to do this? I do not want to specify those rules, they are already specified in the hierarchy. Could you propose the ethe right approach for this.

Ok do a authorisation roles based on node so that who ever has the role for that node will have access to the costcenter under it.

Problem with costcenter after loading

Hi Experts,
i can't find my costcenter in master data table /BI0/PCOSTCENTER after their loading. When i go to maintain the master data through the button maintain i can see the costcenter there. But i can't see it in the table /BI0/PCOSTCENTER. In order to create the costcenter in the table /BI0/PCOSTCENTER i have to go to the table for maintaining the costcenter master data. I have to select the costcenter and go to change it. I don' change it clicking ok and then i have to save the master data and then i can see it in the table /BI0/PCOSTCENTER. When the user call the costcenter hierarchy they see for example something like that:
#/Text of costcenter. The key is #. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is?

Did you activate the Master Data for the 0COSTCENTER InfoObject after loading the new data?
If not, try this:
1. Activate Master Data.
- Right click on 0COSTCENTER InfoObject and select the "Activate master data" option.
2. Execute Change Run.
- Click on the "Tools" menu and select the "Apply Hierarchy/Attribute Change..." option, click on the "InfoObject" button, select the 0COSTCENTER InfoObject if available, click the "save" button. Click on the "Execute" button.

No result line for hierarchy on Profit Center in query

Dear Colleagues!
Question regarding BW 3.5!
I want to have an overall result line for a hierarchy based on profit center in my report, but I can't make it work.
The Profit Center infoobject is in the rows. I use the setting for the infoobject Profit Center to set Result settings but the line does not appear.
I have a very similar report where Costcenter hierarchy is in my row, and here I get the overall result line at the top. Why does it not appear in my Profit Center query?
I have compeared settings for the two hierarchies in RSA1, the settings for the two queries, the settings for the Web Template, and the settings for the infoobjects, but I can't find any difference. Can anyone out there help me?

Silje,
Have you a Node at the top of the Cost Centre Hierarchy which is being summed within the hierarchy and then perhaps all your Profit Centre nodes are at the same top level?
Also - are there other characteristics in your Cost Centre report that are actually the ones being summed?

Get hierarchy name in user-exit from variable

Hi everybody
I have a WebTemplate with different queris. The user can select the costcenter in the beginning. In a further query of the template I show all the orders regarding that costcenter. But with this concept I block all the orders with one user executing the template.
So now I want to select the orders that belong to the selected costcenter in a user exit (with a variable). This works fine when the user selects a costcenter.
But it is also possible that the user selects a higher node of the costcenter hierarchy. How can I get all the orders that are connected to a costcenter node?
So far I thought that I have to get all costcenter nodes that have the selected node as a parent (etc..) in the hierarchy table. But how do I find out which hierarchy is used by the query? I get the Variable name loc_var_range-vnam. And I know which table the hierarchy is in. But how do I find the correct HIEID?
or does anybody have a better suggestion to solve my problem?

Query Cost Center and Cost Element Hierarchy

here is the problem.
We are trying to build a query that does the following.
Its a CCA query.
We have Costcenter in the Filter area with a Hierarchy assigned and a hierarchy node variable attached.
We run the report and its looks good and the user cannot drill down because nothing is in the "rows" area. Its perfect.
Now the user has said that within that Costcenter Hierarchy we only want to see a total number based on the CostElement Hierarachy assigned. Different CostElement Hierarchys are valid for different times of the budget.
I have created a Hierarchy variable and attached it to the CostElement.
Here is The issue ****
If I drop the Costelement in the "rows"area it prompts for the Hierarchy name , filters Costcenter properly and provides the extact number. Problem is the user can now drill down and that is not allowed becuase we are going to have 3 summary totals with a "grand total" at the bottom.
So if I put the CostElement in the Filter area it now does not filter the CostCenter and I get the wrong number.
Is there a way to prevent drill down or some how force the CostCenter to be filtered by CostElement also.

Hi Richard,
Not sure if this will help as I have not tried it out, but you can try by setting the display property of Cost Element to No Display, when it is in the Rows area. This can be done by Cost Element > Right Click > Display As > No Display.

Master data hierarchy synchronization for BPC NW 7.5

Here is my situation,
Trying to load master data and hierarchy for BW costcenter. Parent CostCenter hierarchy is 10001000.
CostCenter members are concatenated with Controlling area 1000.
I followed the master data and hierachy sycnhronization for 7.5 without any success.
I want to load only CsstCenter members without concatenatinon e.g. instead of 1000F1200, I want F1200.
Note thaI cannot use SUPPRESSCHARACTER 1000 as it suppresses other unintended values like 1000F1000
I need a method to truncate only first four characters

Master Data Hierarchy - Urgent requirement

I have a requirement with respect to master data check for the hierarchy
I have a costcenter hierarchy where in the values for costcenter is coming from other system
Now for the costcenter hierarchy master data
when I load the flat file for hier to the above costcenter master data, it should perform the check such as
Befor loading the files to the master data, it has to do a master data validation check means it has to check the data from the flat files with respect to master data hier table(/bic/h*)
If the flat files has values which are not exist in the costcetnter master data, the laod should fail
I have explored various options but not able to figure out the solutions.
There is no update rules/ no transformation
Kindly let me know how to solve the same ASAP

Key figure summation

Hi All
I searched SDN forums and could not find a solution for the same.
I have added a keyfigure as display attribute in 0costcenter masterdata. The same is available as display attribute in headcount cube (0papa_c02) via 0mast_cctr. Now at the reporting level, the values for the key figure is not summing up at the node level for costcenter hierarchy as a normal functionality of display attribute. It works fine for normal key figures.
So as a solution, I added this keyfigure in the headcount cube and populated the same via a routine from 0costcenter masterdata. The values are populating perfactly fine in the headcount cube. But the problem is that, as the headcount cube has multiple entries for the same costcenter, the values for the key figure is getting aggregated at the reporting level. I even tried using exception aggregation and non cumulative key figures to get the non aggregated value. But I am unable to solve this.
Could you please guide me how can I acheive this. I know I can achieve this if I use an ods. But this will affect the whole design. Plaese suggest.

I created one calculated key figure which contains the real key figure from the cube. When I press Ok, it will get saved. The only thing I could see is the properties of the calculated key figure/ key figure. Where I can see count all values <>0 in calculate result as.
I could not find below at the query level. Are you talking about the aggregation tab in the infoobject maintainance in BW side?
"on the next screen in bottom left corner, there is a button (I think it will say "Expand" if you log on in english). Click that one and now you get to set the aggregation behaviour. Set the exception aggregation to 'count all values 0' and the reference char to the costcenter (I think your mst. costcenter in this case)"

How to get the New created Hier for existing IO and IS in the Infopackage

hello Gurus,
I have created a new Custom hierarchy on an existing InfoObject 0Costcenter. There are many Hierarchies already existing and being fed from R3. This new hierarchy is just a regrouping of costcenters.
Now I have created this new Hier and activated it, When I tried to create a Infopackage to load this new Hier, I am not finding the new created Hierarchy in the Hierarchy Selection tab of Infopakage.What should I do to see this new HIer.

so, the costcenter hierarchy created by the user is not a std costcenter hierarchy, so it should be a set hierarchy. go to tcode BW07 in r/3, give the name of the table and field, if you like the name of the datasource too orelse the system woudl generate it. But the costcenter hierarchy is compounded to controlling area, you would need to write a user exit to populate the compounding object too in the datasource, orelse all the costcenters would be unassigned to controlling area. once created, you can check the same in rsa6. once you see it there, replicate the DS to BI, and after that the data flow is same. create a new infopack to load the set hierarchy, as you wont be able to see this hierarchy in the std costcenter hierarchies.

Data extraction from R/3 Hierarchies to BW

I am not comfortable with uploading of Hierarchies from r/3 to BW. i always get confused .
My reporting Scenario is to show cost center ( Regions ), Cost element group , costelements under it and amount corresponds to it.
In R/3 I could see Hierarchy build on costelement and cost centers.
i need to extract the data from r/3 to BW inorder to show same in my report.
please don't ask me to go through the sap help. i have already gone through it and am confused .
my confusions are
i need to maintain costelement group in external characteristic in costelement. and how this costelement group and costcenter hierarchy will combine.
please through ligth on this.

Have you tried to look through RSA5 with any datasources with patterns of Cost, cost element, and Hier that may meet your requirements.
From the BW test system you can replicate the datsources and see if the hier will load.
Also do a search for uploading hier form flat file. You can also write an ABAP to do this using sets. Do a search on GS01.

Using Customized group name fields in Live Office

Hello everybody,
I've created a Crystal Reports based on a BEx Query and including a costcenter hierarchy. Now I want to add this report in Excel sheet via Live Office. I did this according to the official HowTos provided by Ingo Hilgefort. Now I've following issue. When I choose the data for the selected fields in Live Office, I could manage to insert the Live Office object into my report but the display of the cost center hierarchy nodes doesn't comply with the display in Crystal Reports. There I've defined a group with a customized group name field (costcenter.medium description) Live Office seems to use only the costcenter node ID.

live office uses web services to authenticate (dswsbobje) which depends on a java app server for kerberos to be enabled to login with AD. Is Infoview working with AD? This would be required. I'm not sure about your other issues.
