Costing process in average costing

Dear Experts
We are using average costing method for our organization, and manufacturing is MTO.
In this for every order we create new BOM, but when we run cost rollup it shows 'ZERO'. how to roll cost before doing manufacturing.
Please help
Thanks
Sandeep

Have you entered costs for the underlying components?
Have you defined routing?

  • Intercompany Sales Processing- Moving Average Price

    Hi,
I have a special requirement in Intercompany process..
I want the Ordering company to be charged  with Moving Average Price of the Material instead of the Normal Price.
Can some on help me out with this?
    Thanks,
    Challa.

    Hello,
You can control it using formulas via VOFM ,for the conditions IV01, PI01 (statistical) but I would suggest a more standard solution using VPRS condition.
Condition Type VPRS in the intercompany-billing document indicates cost to the supplying company code and it's used to retrieve the cost of the material accessing the valuation segment of the material master for getting the standard cost or the moving average cost. Condition category G accesses the standard cost  and condition category T always accesses the moving average price.
The use of two different condition types in Intercompany billing is necessary to ensure that data is transmitted correctly to the financial statement (Component CO-PA).
Having VPRS condition correctly determined You can use a formula to make Your PI01 condition equal to the VPRS.
Tell me if it helped you !

  • Customizing the statistic result for the process management

    Hello everyone ,
As you know , we always need customize some statistic for the customers , some customers wonder whether they can Stat according to the all the data in the form for the process  . And these statistics such as the numbers of everyone who start process , the average work efficiency of each staff (the period who deals with his/her job)  etc. , many kinds of these requirements .
Is there any ready methods to realize this requirements , it seems the BAM can not  be suitable for all of these requirements ; at the begining , I want to save all the data into DB , but I am afraid that this will make the system very slow if there is a large number of these data in the DB.
Well , can anybody give some suggestion ? Thanks a lot !

I think BAM is your best option.
If you don't get the statistic that you need, you can always build a custom dashboard object (graph) to get it.

  • Max no of execute threads in 4.5

    Hi,
We have set the no of execute threads in 4.5.1 to >700. During start up of
the weblogic server, we get the following message:
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Property
    weblogic.system.executeThreadCount has value: 775 > max: 400 setting value
    to 400
Does WebLogic not allow the no of execute threads to be more than 400?
    Thanks

Thanks for that info. That was very helpful.

400 is a hard-coded upper limit. There is no way you can change it.
From my understanding, ExecuteThreads => UserConnections + ConnPoolSize isa
    confusing "rules of thumb".
Number of threads depends on the average request processing time, average
waiting time that your users can accept and average concurrent users. For
Internet application, nobody wants to wait, so, we can assume average
waiting time equals average processing time (this is the mininum waiting
    time).
In order to find out how many threads you need, first find out the average
reqeust processing time of your systems. Secondly, find out how many
concurrent users you will have, in your case, it is 100. Keep in mind not
all users send requests to WLAS at the same time. There is a ratio ofnumber
of concurrent users to number of concurrent requests within the average
request processing time. Statistically, the higher the number ofconcurrent
users, the higher this ratio. Normally, this ratio can range from 1 to 20
(Sorry, I do not have any research paper, however, this is a typicalrandom
processing problem). If you have a very powerful machines and the average
processing time is very low, this ratio can be even higher (for example,
your average processing time is 1/2 seconds, and user waiting time is 2
seconds). Threads likes employees in MacDonnald. The number of customersin
MacDonnald likes concurrent users. Customers who actually waiting to be
served is like current requests. If the number of employees equals the
number of customers in MacDonnald, you will see MacDonnald stocks willlike
trash within couple of days. If the number of employees equals the numberof
customers waiting to be served, you will see the stocks will be trashwithin
    couple weeks.
    Since 100 is a medium size number, let's take 4 as the ratio, 100/4 = 25.
    So,
there might be 25 concurrent requests within your average requestprocessing
time. How many threads you need to process 25 concurrent requests? 25!
Start with 25 and monitor weblogic server. If CPU utilization is low andthe
number of requests in WLAS request queue is low, decrease this number. If
CPU utilization is very high and the number of requests in WLAS requests
queue is high, increase this number. Tuning WLAS needs patience and
    carefulness.
The default of threads is 15. Normally, WebLogic suggested use 15 to 60
    threads.
Large number of threads will not buy you anything. It simply creates lotsof
idle threads and wastes systems resources to do context switching. Those
threads like extra employees in MacDonnald. MacDonnald has to pay them$$$.
One of reason why private companies are more efficient and profitable than
government is that private companies try their best to increase that
    "ratio".
I guess, "400" by WebLogic is a way that WebLogic prevents your fromrunning
your WebLogic Server likes a state-owned enterprise where employees can
enjoy coffees at their office most of the time. I guessed :-).
You just have 100 users, where 600 connections are coming from???
    My 2 cents.
    Cheers - Wei

  • How to increase my server performance ?

    hi experts,
my environment is 4.7E,SQL,Windows 2003 Server with 150 users.
ibm xseries 346 with 6 gb ram
min response time is 1000 (m.sec) to 1500 per 140 logon users.
how can i decrease this response time ?
Please give me your valuable suggestions.
    Gayatry.

    Hello Gayatri,
The average response time consists of:
    Wait time
    Database request time
    Roll time
    Load time
    Enqueue time
    Processing time is:
ABAP processing time (part of total CPU time)
        Work process waiting for CPU
        Waiting for I/O
IN order to monitor the performance of the system and identifying the bottleneck points, use Workload Monitor transaction code ST03. Select the required timeframe and by default the ‘Workload Overview’ view is displayed. In the “Administrator’s Mode” the default time frame of the workload analysis is the current day. However, change to “Expert Mode”. Choose under “Detailed Analysis” -> “Last minutes load”
During the workload exercise, restrict the time period to the time when the performance is observed to be bad. Under Analysis views, you can access, for example:
Workload overview - Workload statistics according to work process type
Transaction Profile - Workload statistics according to transaction.
Time Profile - Workload statistics according to hour
In the Workload Monitor(ST03) selecting Transaction Profile enables you to find out:
The most-used transactions. Tuning these transactions results in the largest improvements in overall performance.
The average response times for typical R/3 transactions.
In the Workload Monitor, the following values normally indicate good performance:
Wait time < 10% response time
    Average roll-in time < 20 ms
Average roll wait time < 200 ms
Average load (and generation) time < 10 % of response time (<50 ms)
Average database request time < 40 % of (response time - wait time)
Average CPU time < 40 % of (response time - wait time)
Average CPU time – should be close to processing time
Average  response time - depends on your requirements – there is no general rule
If you observe high response time for these individual components :
Large Roll-wait time: Communication problem with GUI or external system
Large load time: Program buffer, CUA buffer, or Screen buffer too small
Large database request times: CPU or memory bottleneck on database server, network problems, expensive SQL statements, database locks, missing indexes, missing statistics, small buffers
Large CPU times: Expensive ABAP processing, for example, processing large tables, frequent accessing of R/3 buffers
Processing  time much larger than CPU time: CPU bottlenecks, network problems, communication problems.
Hope this helps in tuning your system

  • Websense issues?

Hey there. I'm having a problem with websense. The websense is already installed and used by a PIX to limit web browsing for the internal wired users.
I have now installed a wireless LAN which terminates on a seperate box - an ASA. The ASA is connected to both the PIX and websense on the inside LAN. I have copied the config from the PIX for the websense filtering (this works fine), but changed the source IP address to the wireless LAN range.
I have attached the config and relevant show commands below. It doesn't look like the ASA is actually sending the request to websense? The wireless users have unrestricted web access which I don't want to happen. Any ideas anyone?

I recently solve an issue like yours putting the command 'management-access inside' in the configure mode.
the teory is that the ASA needs to know the websense from the inside interface with the command that propose Jennifer,

  • Output file size

I have been away from doing video for some time.  Been doing still photos.  In that medium I have learned the tricks of the trade on how to change the pixels per inch and compression levels to minimize the size of the final product for better performance over the internet.  My question is what games do you play with videos to minimize the end product file size?

    Jeff
Your views on the undernoted would be appreciated.
Recapping the example in post #29
    File size F = B x T
    Lets say bitrate B = 3000 (kB/s) and duration T = 5min = 300 seconds
    Hence file size F = 3000 x 300 = 900000 kB
So returning to the previous example, instead of adjusting the Compression Ratio from 9 to 2.25, maintain the original compression ratio based on the original 3000 kB/s bitrate, that is 9. This means that when the Frame Size is now adjusted down from 640 x 480 to 340 x 240, the bitrate can go down in the same proportions. Namely from 3000 kB/s to 750 kB/s. This then reflects in the file size reducing accordingly to 225000 kB, showing a drop in file size in direct proportion to reducing frame dimensions.
I believe this addresses the original poster's request for guidance on file size parameters and shows a direct relationship between file size and frame size and also incorporates temporal compression considerations.
    John
    PS
Mathematically this can be expressed as:
Rearranging the Adobe File Size equation and introducing a codec compression variable:
    File size F = (Frame Size K x Frame rate (fps)) x T
                                            C
    Where K = ([Pixel Width x Pixel Height x Bit Depth] / 8) / 1024
and C = compression ratio of the codec
    Therefore  F = B x T = (Frame Size K x Frame rate (fps)) x T ( T not equal to 0 )
                                                           C
Therefore B = (Frame Size K x Frame rate (fps))
                                            C
    or
B (is proportional to) Frame Size
This shows mathematically that B the bitrate is directly proprtional to the Frame Size assuming Frame rate and Compression Ratio are held constant. Even if the Compression Ratio is not held constant, but allowed to vary through the compression process, the average/mean/notional Bitrate used to calculate the file size in the equation F = Bmean x T can still be considered to be a function of the Frame Size. This would be achieved by:
    F = The Sum of  (B1 x T1 + B2 x T2 + … Bn x Tn) = Bmean x T
Again, this ignores container overheads and audio etc

    Hi Srinivasarao,
Just now I had a chance to look into one ESS system and was able to figure out the SC name.
    The missing class:
    Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/xss/per/model/mac/Hrxss_Per_Subtype_Info
it belongs to ess~per, and this ess~per belongs to Software Component SAP_ESS.
Please check the version of SAP_ESS.
If the version is fine, please redeploy it.
    BR, Tom
