Could anyone help me out here regarding frame rate?
Hi, everyone,I need help with a dynamic frame rate issue,
I have created this spinning diamond flash with a dynamic frame rate controlled by the mouse cursor.
it spins from the right to the left if the cursor is at the left side of the diamond and vice verse, and also the further away the cursor is from the middle of the diamond, the faster it spins.
it works perfectly awesome in Firefox and by itself, but when it's in IE, the cursor loses control of frame rate, so it spins at the highest frame rate regardless where the cursor is at.
I used nextFrame(), prevFrame() to do the winding and rewinding job, and frame rate gets changed in ENTER_FRAME.
I've heard some say that IE ignores frame rate per frame? is it true? if so, how do I fix it?
Could anyone please help me out with this issue?it only happens in IE.

I have always had a little problem messing with gradients, when creating images using them I tend to try and make things to perfect and then get very frustrated. This is the case again today
I have attached two images, one light and one darker. Could anyone help me out recreating these using FW please?

I was just listening to my iPod shuffle and it stopped working. I plugged it into the computer to sync it and it won't sync. The little light don't come on on my nano. I've turned it off and on, pushed the play/pause and nothing. Can anyone help me out here?
How long have you left the iPod to charge? It can take up to 30 minutes before it shows any signs of life. Did you use the instructions in this article to properly reset the Shuffle?

i bought this ipod off a friend its second hand but it worked before,, my friend cleared it out so my son can put his own stuff in it ,, but when i turn it on its shows only a usb conneting to itunes and when i connect it to itunes it says soft wear not reconignised and that i should reninstall itunes which i have done 3 times and still it wont connect to itunes,,
ok try this out:
turn the ipod off, than hold the home button and than connect it with your computer, keep holding the home button, if it work fine itunes will give you a message that it found a device in recovery mode and you can try to restore it

Downloaded 10.5 iTunes and when I put in an audio book to import into iTunes as soon as I begin typing book info notice appears that iTunes has stopped working and windows 7 closes iTunes. Anyone else have this problem? I hate that you have no way to contact these people and report problems. I tried the old feedback but that didn't get anywhere. It seems that there have been a couple other instances of the same error occurring and the problem is a conflict that occurs with the Office 97 only. Somehow the MS Office type library has been modified and this is causing incompatibilities with MS Office 97. Have you installed any other application on top of MS Office that plugs into MS Office tools – Adobe Acrobat, Visio, Reflection?? If so, you will want to see about uninstalling or reinstalling those utilities and then reinstalling Office 97 to restore the original MS Office 97 type library.
Also, if you have a newer version of MS Office, I would highly recommend upgrading your computer. It seems that this problem is only with Office 97 and later versions of Office do not have this issue.

Third party programs can be responsible, as they may be incompatible. I would try uninstalling any of these, starting with any that you have installed around the onset of the KPs.

If it's happening only now and then, it will be difficult to troubleshoot. Did this start after the 10.6.8 update? Might be one of them is incompatible with 10.6.8. See if any of these programs need updating. -

after installing Mavericks on my macbookpro 2009 (Japanese keyboards) the layout doesn't work anymore. I mean, if I press the "@" button the "è" symbol comes out. I did already change the layout in the Preferences but it didn't work.
Could anyone help me please?Apple has changed the way Kotoeri keyboard layouts work. You should be able to get normal behavior if you activate the US layout and switch to that just before using Kotoeri. Here is also an Apple note on the topic with another suggestion:

Ivan1238thx for your suggestion ..but i did try to skip my code..but i am sure if u guy understand what i am trying to ask ..so i try to show my all program for u guy better undrstand my problem ...the first three paragraph of code i hope u guy could focus on it ....i try ask the user to input the cd`s title to our insert list by using a function call readString( ) and i use this method to ask the user what cd they want to be delete from the list ...but it doesn`t work when i try to perform the delete cd funtion. At first, i think it should be my deleteCd( ) problem ..but i do some testing on it..it works fine if i pass a String directly to my function instead of using readString() function to perform ...therefore, i am sure my delete function working fine....i am thinking if it is my readString() problem make my deletion does not perform well...thx for u guy help

I have some suggestions for the image processing component of your application. I have attached a Vision Assistant script to this post (Vision Assistant 7.1) which performs essentially the following steps. These steps could be followed in any programming environment and should yield decent results:
Extract the Luminance plane from the RGB image (simply to get it into 8-bit mono format for the thresholding. Could be done with a color threshold VI).
Threshold the image so that the bright components are left and the dark is set to 0.
Perform a particle filter to remove the particles that are too large (the surrounding area).
Perform a particle analysis on the remaining particles, which should be the holes in the
plate only. Set the particle analysis to return the Location of the 'Center of Mass X' and 'Center of Mass Y,' and the perimeter (diameter).
This type of processing would allow the plate to be rotated, have different patterns, etc. and you should still be able to get the information about the holes.

i loaded a 25$ itunes card today i just use my itunes account on a new device it is asking for a security question, i put the right answers but it keeps on saying it was incorrect..
so i log inn my email and password and go to appleid.apple.com now i was transfered to the recovery section when i was about to reset my question security i was about to open my yahoo mail the problem is i cant access my yahoo mail anymore also it was locked due to inactivity for so long.. so i decided to make a new email address but my problem is the apple support is keep on sending my recovery on my old email address thats why my 25$ is stocked inside my account i cant used it.
i tried send a message to apple supports and they just replying me an article message or article guide to access but it doesnt help... as i said i cant access my old email address so how can i reset my recovery security questions...

What burns me up about the Pixi (sprint)-If you can, help me out here
This is a half rant half 'I hope someone can help me out here with something I'm doing wrong' post, because my experience with this phone makes me want to smash it into a developers face. (Try not to take offence, it's just a thought, I am actually physically stuck with this phone)
Messaging:
No time stamps for messaging? With my pending civil court case, it'd be nice to have this rudimentary gem that's been on every phone since 1998. But let's be honest...it's just nice to know when what was said. Awesome that I can save every message for 3 months. Blows that I can't figure out when it was sent.
Missed Calls:
OK being that I actually like to think of my pixi as a phone first, then a "computer", I'd love to be able to sift through my missed calls on the red missed call alert bar. Since I'm too much of a, "let's get this done now" guy, I hate loading an app to get to my missed calls off of a little button on an already small interface. If I don't want to load the app, I have to click on the missed call alert bar, make my phone dial the number, end the call immediately, and continue untill I go through all of my missed calls (Yea I've done it before, I hate loading apps that bad). How about if you drag down on the missed call alert bar, it pulls the top one off and reveals the PREVIOUS missed call. (Holy ----! Am I a genius, or am I just someone who actually used this phone for more than 3 minutes?) Hopefully I can just sift through my calls on the messed call's red alert ball, but I've tried it every which way and I don't think I can...Help me out here.

Airplane Mode: I accidentally put my phone into Airplane mode like twice a week. This blocks all calls and you just don't even know it's on until you notice the plane on the screen. Why is it so easy? Does palm not realize the consumer base that this phone makes it to probably uses an airplane once every year? I mean I've never even been on a plane and I got suckered into this thing, yet I feel like I should be able to have enough frequent flier miles to go around the world 6 times accoroding to how much I accidentally turn on Airplane Mode. Wth? Whose idea was that?
Facebook syncing: Seriously, who in their right mind wants every single one of heir FB friends on their phones? Certainly not me. Sorry I don't need to talk to all 400 people I've added from school. Best part is, once the syncing deed is done, you can't stop it. That's just brilliant. You spend an hour sycing your phone to FB, just to reset your contacts.
Ringtones: Text messaging ringtones literally plays for about 10 seconds and stop. Who on gods green earth told you that it'd be Ok to play any ringtone for like 10 seconds? Seriously...? PLEASE tell me I can change this. I can't even get through the intro of a song in 10 seconds. That's just great. May I add my ringer just seems to have shut off today. Why and when, I don't know. But my ringer is on, turned up, and I'm just getting text messages and calls as I type this with no sounds. lol Seriously. I'm not even kidding. I don't know how to make the alert sound. That's absurd. lol Like really I'm laughing at how pitiful it is that this is what my phone does so I'll just type another lol to further express how much of a joke this phone is to me. lol
Contact Reminder: Now I'm not sure what I'm doing. But pretty often, when trying to hurriedly dial a number, I accidentally hit contact reminder, load a new app. Meanwhile I have to get rid of the app and get to my phone. Now here's the kicker...I did it "hurriedly"(yea I make up words when I need to) which means I'm in a rush. Thx for not helping whatever situation I'd be in/have been in, Palm...You're supposed to work with me, not against me. :\
Calendar: Awesome app. I actually bought this phone for its uses here. But I'm not sure if it's just me, or the phone, but I can't even have this thing remind me to take out the trash every WEDNESDAY. Now I don't know who you have agreements with, but since I can't actually get the same vids I'd normally get on the computer (for example, music videos) to come up in my search, you've essentially turned youtube, "you"sless. Now that actually takes more effort in screwing up than not. This thing right here just makes me think you're trying to get me mad.
Small keys:Won't even touch on that subject, I should have noticed from the get go. I knew it, thought I'd get used to it, but no. They are just too small and that's that. Not even blaming palm for this one.
Palm taught me 2 things with this phone.
1: Never buy from palm again, we just don't seem to agree on what a phone should do. I had great expectations in the Palm name, only to find out that I'm going to be enraged by the phone daily.
2olidification in the notion that "if it's too good to be true, it probably is." Because that's exactly what I got out of the experience with this phone.
So unless someone can set my problems straight, I'm going to be looking foward to my next upgrade like it's the last day of school for a 12 year old. At least life won't continue speeding by as long as I have this thing. I guess that's one bonus. :\
The worst part is this is all that I can think of sitting here. I can probably edit this throughout any given day to make it into a small book. Which I would try to publish if I'm not flat out wrong about at least half of these "problems". Because if so...this phone should have never hit the market. No offense. Like I said, I actually have to use this phone. Palm just gets more money out of it.

my Pixi shows me the missed calls in a list of its own? I don't have many, so maybe I'm missing something. But I agree with your half-ranting to some degree. As a long-time Palm-user (my last phone was a Treo 680, terrible form factor, good UI), I am really disappointed with the standard software on this phone. Memos and Tasks, which AFAIK were there and useful even on the first Newton's, have regressed beyond the point of usefulness now (solution: Toodledo and Done!, at least for now).
But ChrisBell: if you feel up for it, you could start tinkering. Many people love these phones so much they have started developing patches to solve the obvious problems skimmed over by developers. Try looking up "webosquickinstall" and "preware", and you will find over 300 patches and a lot of free software to help you out. I am not a computer wizard myself, but I am not scared of them either, and I have been able to make good use of all these extras made available by the community.
