Could I change the mail.log_current file permission?

The default file permission is 600, Could I change this default permission?

There is no way that I could find to change the default umask for mail.log_current. There is an existing RFE (Request For Enhancement) to have this ability added (#4760767 - No control over log file permissions).

I really would like to have some files to open automatically after download, specially .pps files, and safari doesn't recognize such files as "safe". Hi All:
My web server is IIS 6. Sometimes the temp crystal report objects could not dispose when I close IE. I have some codes to control the evnet(colse IE to dispose CR objects) but the result is not good. Could I change the default temp folder(C:\Windows\Temp)? Because I want to delete the temp files by schedule. If the temp folder in C:\Windows\Temp, there maybe have anohter .tmp files in this folder and I want to avoid to delete them. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much. But this is not my solution. I prefer to set the temp folder by a method or attribute to set the physical path, or to change the register. On the other way, Can I set the Environment Variables like %BOE_TEMP% for the default temp folder. Because there maybe some other systems also used the same environment variables(%TEMP%). When I delete the temp file in %BOE_TEMP% folder, I will never to delete temp files of the other systems. Could I?

I am doing FTP from sun box to SuSE linux -- /usr/local/bin/wits.
I'd like to FTP files from Sun box--- /usr/local/bin/wits to SuSE Linux ----/usr/local/bin/wits.

get
filename (remotely & locally)
permisson deniedIt says permisson denied.
On other hand I am able to FTP in /tmp.
How could I changed the permisson for /usr/local/bin/wits to allow oracle user to do FTP in above directory?

Can the mailer.cbx file in 6.2 be modified to use port 1025?

Can the mailer.cbx file code in vs. 6.2 be modified to use port 1025?
We need no authentication, only a port change to 1025 to allow the mailer object to work for us. Had it working for several months until ISP blocked port 25. We currently have no email alarm reporting to us from over 100+ alarm events!

Interesting suggestions from both of you.
Arnis, we're putting the cleanup utility on the back burner for the moment, since in our company, we can get in trouble using third-party software. However, it's good to know about this utility and we will use if it we have to. (Occcasionally we are forced to put our careers on the line for issues like this...)
Mike, we created a folder called "PDFSettings" in the 7.2 "fminit" folder and copied over the six joboptions files from 9.0. Rebooted, rePDFed and voila, that worked. (Mind you, we can't say for sure that's what worked, because as I said in my original post, the simple act of rebooting "sometimes works, sometimes not...")
Eventually this problem will go away by itself because eventually we will get rid of 7.2 -- it's only deadline time-crunches that have made us reluctant to jump fully-clothed into 9.0...
I really appreciate the two of you taking your time to offer suggestions and help. I can't imagine life in the FrameMaker world without you!

Somebody here will correct me if I'm wrong, but what you have to do is go into Settings, Mail/Contacts/Calendars and under Mail, turn off "Organize by Thread". I think that will make each message show individually.

If I understand correctly, Sonic Kaboom.swf needs to be edited in a separate Flash authoring program and then reinserted into your HTML document.
As Murray said, Flash is dead. Nobody uses it anymore.   We use HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript animations which have universal support from Smartphones, Tablets and other web devices that can't support Flash.   Look at Edge Animate.

Programaticly changing the (suggested only) file name in the save prompt when signing a document?

When you sign a document in Adobe X (or XI), the system says it needs to save the file first. Is there some way to change the (suggested only) file name to a different value for that save?
Right now, people open a blank form - lets call it formX.pdf. They fill it in and sign it. The suggested file name for the save is FormX.pdf. I can generate a unique file name which i'd like to put in place of the suggested default...

AFAIK, you can't do it with code. Your best option might be to use a form field to show a message to the user when they sign the document with that information.

Hello, you can change most of Photoshop's interface text by going to preferences>interface>UI font size.

You can go to Build >> Target Settings menu item, select Release (or Release 64) in the Configuration filed and set the name of the executable to create in Application FIle field, withouyt need to change the prj or cws filename.

Could not change the browser language by menu on Safari 4 final for Windows. You could change it by changing OS settings! It's impossible. It's only browser.
Safari 4 public beta could change it by view menu. What's going on?

Thanks for the offered solution, it's nice to find at least something, although still not ideal IMHO since to switch to some other language I shall have to do this exchange operation every time, I guess.
It happened that I have to consult newbies in the company I work, and they are located in different countries of the world, speak different languages and use different browsers - as for me, it's a little bit troublesome to change language in this manner to see how this or that item is named in menu...
I'm still waiting for Apple to make this option built-in in Safari menu, as it was before and as it is in all other known to me browsers.

Contribute could not read the shared settings file.....

We are using Contribute 4 via FTP connection. Suddenly, I
have one user today that is getting the following error when trying
to connect to things she should have access to.
The error: "Contribute could not read the shared settings
file for this Website because the file has been corrupted. To
re-create the shared settings file, an administrator must
administrate the website again."
As a sidenote, this user had recently been sent approximately
41 files for review, I have no idea if there is a connection or
not. This feature has worked fine for them before.
Anyone see this problem before? I did check and I have other
users that can access and edit the Website just fine. It seems
specific to this one user.
