Could I connect the design in Multisim in LabVIEW 2009?
Hi,
I had design a generator in LabVIEW 2009, and now I need to send the output of the generator to pass through a transformer and a transmission lines. I found out that I could use Multisim to design the transformer and transmission lines.
I was wondering if anyone knows on how to transfer/connect the transformer and the transmission lines design in Multisim using LabVIEW 2009? In my final presentation, I need to use LabVIEW 2009 and show to my supervisor the result of the simulation.
Ridhwan Ali
Hi Ridhwan,
Here are the options:
1) You can save the results from the generator to a LVM file in LabVIEW. Then, go to Multisim and use the LVM_VOLTAGE (Sources Group, SIGNAL_VOLTAGE_SOURCES Family) source to open the file, connect this source to your circuit.
2) You can create a VI in LabVIEW and use it in Multisim. Here is a good tutorial:
How to Create a LabVIEW Based Virtual Instrument for NI Multisim
3) You can control Multisim from LabVIEW via the Multisim API. Basically you can create a LabVIEW application that opens the Multisim engine, loads a circuit, and executes simulation. Basically you can bring simulation results to LabVIEW for further processing. More info:

I hope this helps. Good luck with your application!

Could I connect the lap top to TV and watch movies and control the lap top from a distance?
could I connect the Apple lap top to my TV to watch movies and control the lap top from a distance just like the Window lap top???
Check out Apple TV. It is a wireless interface to your TV. It may be the best $99 investment you can make for entertainment on your TV. It simply requires a standard $10 HDMI cable, not supplied with the Apple TV unit. Through Apple TV, with Mavericks, you can use the TV as a standard OS X monitor or for entertainment. Also check out the Beamer software to stream videos to it from your Mac.
Apple TV requires a Mid 2011 or newer MacBook Air with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later.
If your MBA is not new enough you can use the AirParrot application but the video quality is not as high as with a newer MBA. It also streams from iOS devices.

AirPlay is available on all devices running iOS 4.3 or later. Some features require the latest software. Second-generation Apple TV or later required.
AirPlay Mirroring is available with iPhone 4s or later; iPad 2 or later; iPad mini; iPod touch (5th generation); and iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer), and Mac Pro (Late 2013) with OS X Mountain Lion or later. -
Currently my main Administrator account on my Macbook Pro is having problems after login.
After login, the dock crashes, the monitor flashes gray and dock reloads. Activity Monitor shows insane CPU usage from the dock. (Up to 170%)
From my assessment, the error lies in the dock. However, after trying various methods such as clearing caches files, and removing duplicated files. The problem still occurs.
The following are the error messages from the console.

when I plug in my iphone5 or iPad into my Mac I get the message iTunes could not connect the service did not start properly on this device
If you are using Windows 7, go to:
Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features
Look for a program called 'Apple Mobile Device Support'
Right-click on it
Click 'repair'
Wait until the repair operation is complete, and voila, your problem should be solved, itunes will recognise your iphone/ipod once more. This worked for me. -

Can't find the pin to connect the front panel of IPMMB-FM motherboard
Hi,
So i have a HPE h8-1240t. My motherboard is:
Manufacturer: IPMMB-FM
HP: Formosa
Here is the picture of my motherboard:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03132942&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en
I just bought a new case (Thermaltake Commander MS-I Black). I was trying to swap the system from the old case to the new case. Also, this is my first time doing this. I just keep everything except the case. No luck, i could not connect the front panel such as power switch button, reset button, HDD LED...etc which came with the new case. Any idea how to connect those buttons? THanks very much.
This question was solved.
View Solution.Yes. The leads in the picture I took from the case manual go on the appropriate pins on the F_Panel block in the lower right near the SATA ports. The pinout should be marked next to the jack in terms very similar to the wire designations.

ITunes could not connect to the iTunes Store "Error Message"
I recently added iTunes 7.6 to my Windows XP operating system at the same time when I added an *Ion USB Turntable (TTUSB).* I currently have the 80G iPod with the larger video screen. I added in the supplied software of the EZ Vinyl Converter. The software reads from Gracenote and imports into iTunes okay. But now my PC cannot access the iTunes store to buy songs, read the tracks on the discs, or display new album artwork. The diagnostic read the network connectivety test, the CD/DVD drive, and iPod connectivity tests all read okay. I followed the directions on checking the network settings under the Internet Options Tool "Connections" Lan Settings and the Automatic detection and still no dice. All I get is "Make sure your network is active."
Can anybody help out their?

HP_ADMINIST (L:\), Fifth Generation iPod (iPod with video) running firmware version 1.3
Serial Number: 8K645xxxV9R
Bus Speed: 61440I'm seeing this error on some, but not all, of my Windows XP machines. On my personal development XP box, I see this error if iTunes is closed when I try and access iTunes U via my transfer script or Stanford's.
"iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. The network connection was terminated unexpectedly. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
The errors occured in IE 7 Beta, Firefox 1.5.x, and Firefox 2 Beta. In each case, iTunes U loaded after I clicked the 'ok' button in iTunes. I did notice that in Firefox's case an additional pop-up window appeared that asked whether or not I had iTunes; when I selected that I do have itunes, it transfered me to iTunes but generated the error.
After getting these errors on my Windows XP machine, I tried it on two different lab machines running Windows XP, and didn't get the error message once -- I tried it in IE 6, Firefox 1.0.x and Firefox 1.5.x and they all worked. It even worked with IE 7 Beta and Vista Beta.
Based on this, I think the problem must lie in how Windows registered iTunes, and the handshake just isn't happening properly.

When using Mail Connection Doctor two error messages come up with regards to sending and receiving mail from my @mac.com account.
The first one says that my @mac.com account: "Could not connect to this MobileMe IMAP server." How do I fix this? Is this caused by the way I have set my preferences? Is this related to joing iCloud? Or my ISP Verizon the problem?
The second one says in reference to my Apple Server: "Could not connect to this STMP server. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Account perferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not, deselect the "Use SSL checkbox in the Advanced tabe of Account preferences." This box was not checked. Two days ago these problems did not exist. Again, how do I figure out who to discusses these problems with?
Feedback is most welcome.

So our school lets us use Macbook Airs for the school year, and it has facetime on it. I know facetime isn't blocked because like everyone else is using it. So I decide to give it a try. I click the icon, it says enter your apple ID. I dont have one, so I click to make one, and do so. I then enter my apple ID and click next. The screen reads "People will call you using your email address. What email address would you like to use?" I enter my email address in the box below the message, and then go to my email and click the link, and sign in, thus verifying the email. I go back to the facetime window, and click next. At the top it says Verified, but when I click next it doesn't go on to the next step, it simply blacks out the next button so that I can not click it, and after a few minutes a message comes up that says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
So that is the issue, please help!!!!!
*Note-I repeat that I know it is not blocked by the school because everyone else uses it just fine.*Hello BassoonPlayer,
Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

iTunes RADIO is not working.
“iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your internet connection is active and try again.” Try as I may, as many as ten attempts, trying to connect after restart, after shutdown, nothing works. Just so …
iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio. People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.
===============================================================
NOTE: no password for iTunes exists in my Keychain. Is this a problem?
Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes. Very strange.

My ipad 3 is frozen on the plug into itunes page - it won't turn off or on - just stuck. I have tried to follow advice I have found on these pages but I don't know how to connect the ipad to my mac (the advice is to connect ipad to mac and there is no usb port on an ipad). If anyone could help it would be appreciated. Going nuts.
I think you should probably also read the iPad User Guide. You didn't say what version of iOS your iPad is running, so here's the links to both the iOS 6 and iOS 7 (PDF) versions:

Mavric doesn't support my 5 years old Big Screen Display, OR? Tried to connect my Mac Book Pro after installing Mavric, The Screen didn't work as before. I could only see the Desktop but not the movies for example.
<E-mail Edited by Host>It appears what happened is the installer though it was looking at a empty drive and just went ahead and installed.
I of course am assuming here you didn't use Disk Utility to format the drive first before installing, that would wipe out your files and programs for sure.
So what to do, what to do.
Well there is hope for you as long as the drive wasn't Filevaulted.
I'll explain. When a hard drive writes data for the first time to a drive, it starts at the very top and works it's way down.
When OS X was installed the first time, it was at the top of the drive, unless you upgraded then the upgraded OS X could have been written elsewhere.
Now when you just reinstalled OS X, the new OS went on the top of the drive, overwriting any data that was there previously, so what was there you have lost forever which is about 8GB or so. If it was the previous OS there, then your more in luck because only the old OS X was overwritten.
The remaining space on the drive still can have a copy of your files, provided it's not overwritten yet.
It's because when a hard drive deletes data or reformats, it doesn't remove the data off the drive or overwrites it immediately, it's just made so it's SPACE is available for new files to be written there.
So technically one can recover the deleted data off a non-encrypted/scrubbed hard drive with special software.
The way it does this is it reads the 1's and 0's of the files themselves, and through a lot of figuring out, can tell what that file is and what it belongs too.
So what you will have to do is this:
Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
or if you don't have the skills, then take it to a local PC/Mac tech and they can do a direct image of the drive and then you can run Data Rescue on it to rebuild your files. -
