Could I exchange my iPod Touch 5g for a different color?
Hi! I have a Blue iPod Touch 5g there's engraving on it, I'm starting to dislike the color and I really want pink now, nothing is wrong with the iPod and everything works perfectly, I just really want a different color. Could I exchange it for a different color??
But the link does not list engraving as a reason for not getting a refund.
Apple can just place a new back on the iPod and sell it as a refurbished one. The say as if it was not engraved and opened and then returned.
I would contact Apple.

If it was an Apple store they may have meant you can trade it in for 10% off a new model. This is all though.

Thanks for answerIf you go to Apple, they will not replace your battery, but exchange your iPod for a refurbished iPod of the same model with a new battery. Therefore you will lose everything that is not backed up. If you change it yourself or have a third party change it, you will most likely not lose anything (but still best to make a backup as lllaass suggested).

I have had my iPod touch 4gen for over two years and it is starting to have problems. My home button no longer works and I have to use the assistive touch, my screen will go white for hours if I try and use an app that takes up a lot of room, and many apps won't work any more such as the app store or mail. It would probably be best to attach the iPod to a computer and restore it. This way you'll know it's wiped clean. Then, when you start up the iPod it will ask you for your Apple ID.

If the non-iTunes purchases are on the old iPod you can copy them to your computer by:
