Could I get a quick review of proposed NLE system?

Hello-I was hoping for some input on a recommended system for NLE. I've been looking through the discussions and finding some great info. I'm looking to updgrade to CS5 and Premiere Pro after years of using a Mac/Final Cut/After Effects system.
I've read all the issues in the forum with ordering a standard Dell system. My company has a business account with Dell and they're buying, but I'd like to upgrade from their standard desktop model. Below is a package one of our visual simulation developers pulled together for their team. I don't think I need as much power for editing HD DSLR video and basic motion graphic work. Can anyone make a recommendation on where to cut costs but still have a solid system for NLE?

I thought I could start by changing the GPU to a Quadra 4000 or a GForce GTX480.
Possibly change the Processor to i7 980X or even the i7 950x.
Need the recommended soundcard?

CPU - you can get a feel for where the W3690 would fall by finding i7-980x systems clocked around 3.5GHz. The W3690 is the same as a i7-990x but allows for the use of ECC (error correcting) RAM. You can search Intel's site for hours to comb the exact frequencies, etc. for their various CPUs, but for the purposes of running Premiere Pro all of the 6-core CPUs are 32nm and have similar architecture and cache. Dell's Precision workstations will not let you overclock at all, so whatever Intel rates a chip to run is what you will get with a Dell using that CPU.
Disk - RAID 0 helps a lot; the following text was cut from my thread entitled, "How changes to CPU speed, RAM size, and drives (SSD and hard drives) impacted my PPBM5 score":
3) Drives: Slowest tested was project, cache, and cache DB all sharing a single 1TB WD 7200rpm drive [PPBM5 Disk I/O test = 138 sec.] Changing to two of the same drives in a RAID 0 configuration was a massive improvement [PPBM5 Disk I/O test = 82 sec.]
I would maintain that for what you are spending a 2x1TB in RAID 0 should be your "minimum". What do 3D guys know about P. Pro? I suspect as much as I know about building a 3D PC - not much!
A good way to save lots on a Dell is to buy it with a single boot drive and add your own 1TB drives; this does not void the warranty in any way, shape, or form if you buy the parts from Dell. They are selling Western Digital 1TB Black SATA 6GB/s 64MB 7200 rpm drives for $99.99/each. From memory, they are charging $450/each to add them to the "system configurator" when you build the T3500.

We would be grateful if you could point out any errors in the list, but we do check.
The list does not claim features moved to the System are "missing". There are separate lists of added and changed features.
There are many people who claim to know what they are talking about but on closer examination it becomes clear they really do not know much about iWork, nor about the features they claim to have "found" in Pages 5.
I would be hesitant to claim that you were part of the beta testing of Pages 5 for 2 reasons.
1. Apple does ask you to sign a non-disclosure agreement
2. You then are part of the problem
Maybe, now you have disclosed that you were testing, you can explain how on Earth something so bad was released on an unsuspecting public, with no warning of what Apple had done and that it would alter/damage users' work.

What is it you need - Windows installer disc or something else? Your question is unclear. Could you be more specific?

I am trying to develop an enterprise application which needs to list all the installed Enterprise apps in the device.Also there is an option to delete the installed enterprise apps from device.I found that this can be done only by setting up a customized MDM server.My company already has an enterprise account.I have some doubts related to this
1 . Is it possible to setup a custom MDM server using MDM API's?
2. How could i get access to MDM API's to setup a custom MDM server/
3. Is MDM server provided only by third party vendors?
4. Is MDM server /MDM API available to all enterprise accounts?

HI friends ,
I am trying to replicate the example JPAEXample01 using JPA in CE1 from the blogs written by
Sabine Heider/Adrian Görler.
During the testing of the method create employee i am getting the following error.
"Could not get a value to be injected from the factory."
I tried couple of examples using the above process, still held up with same error.
Any pointers to trouble shoot this ?

Let me know the entities and their relations ships you are using for quicker response.
To know the proper error, use the path as mentioned
nwa->problem management ->logs & traces->locks.
Email the error code,
The issue might be because of some many probabilities mentioned below.
Point no 1
Are you using Named queries : If so check the queries syntax, the syntax used here is different from regulat sql queries.
Point no 2:
Are you using Java DIctionary or generic db and connecting to max db?

Check your connection profile parameters:

Check the data-source-alias,persistence.xml and data-source.xml parameters..
Beacuse i trouble shooted a lot on JPA's and found why the typical error's occurs.

Okay, after several hours on the phone w/ Apple Care includiing nearly 10 hours on Wednesday, we finally figured out why I would get a Quicktime Error -50 when I tried to share a project out of FCP X. The problem was in the music track that I had in the project. I ripped a track from an audio CD, put in my iTunes then imported into the FCP timeline just as Apple says to do.
The problem is; iTunes default rippping codec is AAC. FCPX can't handle AAC compression. I had to re-rip the audio CD to a uncomressed AIFF file, bring that back into my project and then FCPX could share the file and do it's own copression.
This was a new discovery for Apple and FCPX.

I have trialled Captivate 5 over the weekend and I can see absolutely no reason to upgrade from Captivate 4 to Captivate 5, the opposite in fact. Captivate 5 is a money making project for Adobe not an improvement on Captivate 4.
The team who work on the Captivate project should hang their heads in shame and be disbanded. Have they not once look at the Captivate forums, have they not seen the problems users have or the stream of question or requests users have placed on the forums.
A quick test which can be repeated many times over:
Look on the forum, under Captivate 4, for the subject with the highest requests for help.
Now look at Captivate 5 and in every case you will see the problem, bug or restriction is still there.
Captivate 5 looks grey and bland, the screen is cluttered and some features are buried so deep they are hard to find, simple things default to being turned on, such as anti-alias. In all other software programs, these things default as off, which makes more sense to turn something on if you want to use it.
There is still no way to easily print the certificate page without a third party widget and why can't you fully justify text.
I am now on the look out for other e-learning authoring software and will not encourage anyone to use Captivate 5.

I encourage you to take Adobe up on their offer to talk via phone and/or Adobe Connect about your frustrations, concerns, bugs, and feature requests.
While I too have been frustrated in the past by Captivate issues, there are some at Adobe who seem to have a sincere interest in addressing user issues and strengthening the Captivate product and name.
I took advantage of Adobe's US East Coast tour in October and met with Akshay Bharadwaj and Shameer Ayyappan in New York City. I did my fair share of venting, but found both Akshay and Shameer motivated to both listen and act. I left very thankful for the opportunity.
If someone from Adobe offers to connect with you one-on-one to talk about your concerns, my suggestion is to take them up on the offer!

Google cloud print for officejet pro 8600 - could not get printer information from hp.

I just purchased a new OfficeJet Pro 8600 today. Everything seems to work great except for the connector to Google Cloud Print. I can print from AirPrint, as well as emails to the hpeprint.com address, but when I try to register via the google site, I receive the "could not get printer information from HP" error message.
The printer is connected via wireless ethernet, and seems to work find otherwise. I have no restrictions on who can send print jobs, and I have changed the email address for hpeprint.com a few times, as suggested in other forum threads, but it can never connect to the the Cloud Print service. I am at the latest firmware level listed on the HP website. I have tried to initiate the connection from multiple PC's as well as multiple web browsers.
This was a big factor in purchasing this printer. Help anyone?

Hey rch33k, I am sorry for the ongoing issue that you are having accessing Google Cloud Print. This is being looked into as this is not a singular issue and is affecting other customers as well. Engineers are currently investing this problem to try and provide a solution to it. I want to again apologize and thank you all for your patience in this matter. They only other thing to attempt at this time is to contact Google for further assistance to see if anything can be done on their end. Hopefully this will be fixed quickly

Recently, some customers encountered the problems when trying to download the Visio 2013 Trial via TechNet Evaluation Center. Generally, we can download and install Visio Professional 2013 trial by the following steps:
1. Click “Get Started Now” on

2. Fill out the online form and choose the right version of the software.
3. Save your trial key. Once signed in, you will receive a trial product key along with an option to download the trial package.
Please note:
32bit and 64bit version has different product key.

Note:
The TechNet trial of Visio 2013 is no longer to be downloaded as .img format, it has changed to .exe format. We can install it directly.
Troubleshooting
Can’t open the download link or get 404 error
We'd better check the IE's settings, try the following steps:
1. Install the latest updates.
2. Clear your browser's cache.
3. This issue is related to permission, you may run IE as administrator for a test.
4. Ensure that the Internet Explorer security settings are not set to high. Also disable
enhanced protected mode.
5. May be one of your add-ons that causing this. Manage add-ons in Internet Explorer:

Normally must register an AppleCare plan before the original warranty on the Mac expires. If you have problems registering the AppleCare plan for your MacBook, call Apple tech support and ask to be connected to AppleCare Plan Adminstration.
