Could I have help to scan with HP Photosmart 2575 All-in-One

I have recently bought a Mac laptop and tried printing via the USB cable, which has been fine, but I wanted to scan something recently and it didn't work. I have lost the original CD that came with the printer.
I am not sure if I need to download a driver or software, or whether it is already installed on the Mac, or whether its related to something else?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

According to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669, the driver should already be included with Snow Leopard. You could download the driver from HP just to make sure yours is current, but how is scanning not working?

Hi , and I see you are both having trouble scanning after upgrading to Windows 10, and I may be able to help. Most products do have updated software available on HP's support website for Windows 10. I've also seen a few posts that say the Windows 8.1 driver will work for Windows 10 as well, so you could try that too. HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. I recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor, if it doesn't fix it automatically let me know what errors or messages you receive. Do you know if you are able to scan using Paint? Computer loses network connectivity with HP Photosmart Premium All In One C309a software installed

I am having an issue where my computer (Window XP Media Edition SP3) will loose all network connectivity after some variable amount of time when my HP Photosmart Premium All In One C309a drivers and software are installed. I cannot access the internet or other computers on my network from the affected computer until it is rebooted. When I uninstall the drivers and software, I do not encounter the loss of network connectivty. When I reinstall, the problem starts again. Within 24 hours, I will lose network connectivity requiring a restart. I have the software and drivers installed on another computer running Windows XP Professional SP3 without problems. Both computers are connected via ethernet cable to the network. The printer is connect to the network wirelessly. The printer works fine initiall from the affected computer but then after some variable amount of time computer seems to lose network connectivity. The driver installed is HP Photosmart C309a series (61.81.634.0). Thanks in advanced.

There are a few things to check.
First, is your security software getting in the way, here? Disable it to test.
Second, have you downloaded this firmware patch for your printer?
Third, did you install this software?

Scanning with an HP 3390 all-in one laser jet printer using Windows 7 pro (64 bit)

I have recently acquired a Dell Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) OS computer and was wanting to use my HP all-in-one laser jet 3390 printer and scanner. The printer software which came with my HP 3390 will work with my Wind 7 Pro OS computer, however my HP 3390 scanner function will not work using this HP driver software, with my Win 7 Pro OS. I am trying to locate the appropriate HP scanner and/or different printer drivers that will support both the printer AND scanner functions of my HP 3390 printer/scanner, while using my Windows 7 Pro OS computer. Within the HP website, I have not been able to find this type of driver software or support, as least listed as such? I was wondering, if there are maybe no dedicated or described scanner drivers for my situation, is there even another set of drivers which might be intended for other Window 7 Pro OS based computers and other HP printer/scanners, which would work for my situation as well? Does anyone have a solution to resolve this issue via HP driver software or by another method...maybe even 3rd party? Ther has to be a solution?

Is anyone able to scan with an HP 3055 all-in-one using Leopard

MY hp3055 all in one will not scan with Leopard. HP support says I should wait until "sometime in the future" Any ideas?

Two options:
If the 'TWAIN' driver for the scanner is working, then with scanner connected (and powered on), run "Applications" -> "Image Capture" (standard with OS X). Image Capture just generically looks for TWAIN devices and uses them.
The other option:
You might check to see if VueScan supports it. They claim to support over 750 different flatbed scanners. You can see the list here:

VueScan isn't free (I don't think I paid very much for it -- it was probably about $25-30) but you can download it and it'll operate in 'trial' mode (it puts a watermark pattern over everything you scan until you register it) but you can at least see if it recognizes your scanner before you pay for it.
I use it because I was relying on an ancient flatbed scanner for which the manufacturer no longer even made the drivers -- and it was able to recognize and use the scanner with no problem.

My black ink ran out and when I put in a new cartridge it refuses to print with black and only colour. I have removed all sticky tabs on the cartridge and it says that the ink level is full but its still not printing.

what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when iPhoto opens?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

In order to backup to iCloud the iPad must be plugged into a power source, connected to WiFi and locked - meaning that it must be asleep - or with the lock screen only visible. This is for automatic backups.
If the iPad is not responding at all to any user input, try restarting it or resetting it and see if you can take the steps necessary to back up. You can initiate the backup manually as well.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Let's look further into this! No, that shouldn't be the case. Does service improve outside your office? Are you a new customer? If not, did your previous phone experience the same issue? Try resetting network settings in Settings>General>Reset test and share. Thank you.

OK Texas, so nothing strange with the calendar (unless you folk have seceded since the last time I checked the news )
Image Capture is an Apple App that comes with the OS. Allows you to do a bunch of things. Import pictures from your camera is one. Open the app with your camera connected. If you have Aperture set to open when the camera is connected just close Aperture and then open Image Capture.
You'll see the camera and it should show you the images on the camera card. See if the images from the 29th show up.

Is it possible to update her account on my macbook using her external disk without overwriting my stuff on the same Macbook and vice versa?

Time Machine does not do individual accounts. It records the complete drive. So if you were to use her TM backup on your Mac it would make your Mac just like hers. Both yours and her account on your MAC.
Just copy the missing files over from her Mac to yours. If there are differennt programs on each then they would need to be installed on both.

The troubling thing to me is the fact that the charger gets extremely hot - according to what you are saying. The charger can get warm and can get fairly warm when the iPad is charging, but it should never get extremely hot. Make an appointment at an Apple Store, take the iPad, the cable and the charger with you and ask them to look at everything for you.
