Looks like even the iPad comes with the 1 year limited warranty like all Apple products.

The 90 days from data of purchase limit is on telephone support.
In any case it is best for the OP to get service as soon as possible.

  • HT5569 My i-touch keeps searching for a wi-fi network where it use to connect and all my other apple devices still connect. I have reset, reload, off and on and off and on....what else could I try?

    My ipod touch just keeps searching for a wi-fi connection in my house where it use to connect automatically. My other apple devices still are connecting so not the wi-fi. I have reset to original settings, turned off-on-off-on... nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Does the iPod connect to other networks?
    Does the iPod see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
    Did the iPod connect before?
    Try the following to rule out a software problem:                 
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. (I think you did this)
    If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    We've an article that provides the following troubleshooting steps that may help stabilize your iPhone.
    If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
    If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
    If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
    If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
    Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
    If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
    If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
    If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:

    If your computer qualifies - MacBook Pro: Distorted video or no video issues  
    If it does, call Apple Customer Relations or print out a copy of the article and bring it in to the repair shop.

    If you follow this video you'll see how to delete your WiFi AP from the OS, this will allow you to select it again which I feel will correct your problem.

    Are mobile internet USB devices still not working on Snow Leopard? I actually had to go back to my previous operating system to get this to work. I would however prefer to use Snow Leopard...if Apple & HUAWEI have finally got their act together!

    There appears to be a problem with drivers for USB wireless modems with 10.6. I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard and now can't connect to the internet with my wireless modem. I hope Apple sort this out soon. Or maybe it's Huawei that needs to put a 10.6 driver into its software.

    my lock button stopped working on my iphone 4 and when I checked my warranty it said it ends approximately 12/7/11, which is of course today. I cannot get to the store until the weekend but if I make an appointment and its documented with my serial # will it still be covered?

    The local Apple Store here  has great customer service.  I've head reports of them overlooking warranty dates sometimes in an effort to help customers.  I would go in and just explain you couldn't get in prior to the end of your warranty period.  I bet things will work out OK.
