EVERY time I open Indesign by clicking on a previous document, I get this window. Then I have to click cancel, and open the document through the menu bar. It is very frustrating, as I just want to get to work and have to play around an extra few minutes EVERY time. Also, in comparison to Illustrator or Photoshop, Indesign takes two to three times as long to open.
I am using CS5.5 Indesign version 7.5.3 on a MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.8

I was trying out Photoshop, everything was running fine then one day when I close it I get an error:
"Could not save preferences because the file could not be found..."
Now when I boot it I get the Configuration Error 1.
After Effects still boots, but it reset all my preferences there. For example the workplace layout was reset, all my saved Output presets were removed and my memory-cache and performance settings were reset again.
Premiere and InDesign get the error too and won't boot.
This is the second time it has happened, I'll try wiping every Adobe program and reinstalling all over again, but it had run fine before for a while and it randomly happened.
Any idea how to fix this?

Nope I havent touched the Documents folder.

Installer Disc Could Not Be Found (Windows 7)

Hey guys,
I want to use Windows 7 on my macbook pro however when I try to install windows 7 it says 'installer disc could not be found'.
I have tried the 64Bit and 32Bit RC versions downloaded from the Windows 7 site.
Then I took the contents of the stuff inside the .iso file and then put it on the disc. Meaning I did not put the .iso file on the disc, what I did was take the stuff such as setup.exe and then burn them on to the disc. I also updated the computer, I just bought the MacBook Pro last week and I know the DVD drive is working because I have played DVD's on them. I also see the DVD logo on the desktop. I named the DVD 'Windows 7'. I also tried installing by holding the option/alt key on startup, however it does not show the disc and only shows Macintosh HD. I have also re-partitioned the drive and yet no success.

I believe this is a problem with creating a Bootable CD/DVD from the Mac. Try the following.
1. Insert the DVD/CD
2. Open Disk Utility, and select the DVD/CD from the left side list (select the DVD/CD icon on top)
3. from the DU File menu select New | Disk Image from Disk 1
4. Choose to format the disk image as DVD/CD Master, name the disk image and click Save
5. When the .cdr file is finished select it with mouse and press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info and check the box to lock the file
6. Choose the .cdr file from the left side list, click Burn, and insert a new, blank DVD or CD.

Message was edited by: clarifying the CD/DVD mentioned during creation of the .cdr file is the .iso download from website. Mount the .iso image first and then go ahead with the steps.

The installer disc could not be found windows 7

I purchased a FULL retail copy of Windows 7 but my 15" Macbook Pro won't recognize either the 32 or 64 bit disk. On the rare occasion that it stops spinning in the drive, each disk shows up as a blank DVD (it may be trying to eject the dvd but i generally have to hold my mac sideways in the air for any disk to actually eject, even on a force eject, so I assume it may be constantly reloading the disk it won't recognize). This issue also prevents me from creating an iso with Toast as the contents don't appear even when the dvd does take. I've tried booting off the DVD (holding atl/opt on startup) but the disk isn't recognized so the only option is my Mac harddrive. I have Boot Camp Assistant 3.0.1 installed with Snow Leopard and approx. 50GB partitioned for Windows. My mac also seems to want nothing to do with the Snow Leopard install disk as it instantly ejects that once it recognizes what it is (surprisingly without holding my computer in the air), i figured i could maybe install the drivers from there but that doesn't seem to be an option. I'm also on the administrator account, the only troubleshooting offered in the installation guide.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I just installed iCloud, a result of purchasing my first iPhone. In the process, my iTunes player now has lost its connection to my songs. Is there a method to reconnecting the library files, without having to relocate each individual song?

I'm trying to use import com.adobe.crypto.* on Windows version of my App but get error 1172:Definition com.adobe.crypto could not be found

The Mac version of my Air app works fine, so does the iPad version, but the PC version has been a bit of a nightmare.
I keep getting the error "1172:Definition com.adobe.crypto could not be found", when I publish it.
Basically the 'com' folder is in the same directory as the app I am publishing and within that is 'adobe' and within that is 'crypto' within that is a series of .as files.
I've added C:\Users\Gary\Documents\My_Applications\My_App_folder\com\adobe\crypto to source path list (I have no idea if that's right).
But that just gives me a different error 5001: The name of package com.adobe.crypto does not reflect the location of this file. Please change the package definitions name inside the file.......
I didn't have to include this source in the Mac version... but someone seemed to suggest it on a forum.
I'm basically stabbing in the dark at the mount, something I seem to be doing a lot of these days. :-(

I've figured it out
Turns out I needed to add a source path (in the Actionscript 3 settings click on the Source File Tab) that exactly matches the directory the app and com folder is inside of. I wrongly assumed that Adobe Air could figure out where it was for itself, but no.... it needs to be told where to look for the com folder even though it's staring it right in its face. (Don't set the path to the 'com' folder itself, but to the enclosing folder that the .fla and the com is in).
The Mac version doesn't seem to need that, it just finds the com folder if it's inside the same folder.
Now I've got another massive error:-
When I test the app, it works fine sending to Air for Desktop, however when I publish with embedded runtime for Windows.... It comes up with this error.
Any ideas ?

Boot Camp Assistant "Windows 7 Installer disc could not be found"

I'm attempting to Boot Camp a partition on my MacBook Pro Retina (13", early 2013) and it's not working. I purchased a Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit DVD and i'm accessing it through the optical drive on my desktop iMac. So far so good; MBP shows the disc on its desktop through remote disc sharing. The USB drive with downloaded Windows drivers is in place.
However, Boot Camp Assistant won't recognize the Windows 7 DVD, even though it's right on the desktop (remotely). There is a dialog box and it says "Installer disc could not be found .. wait a few seconds"
And that's it. Nothing further happens.
Help! I hate Windows! Why am I doing this??

So let me get this straight. I can either use this DVD directly on a superdrive plugged in to MBP, or else burn a copy to the USB stick.
MBP will not install from an external SuperDrive due to Windows installer limitations, because it has no driver for the SuperDrive.
How exactly do I do the latter since my own DVD reader right now is by remote disc on my iMac?

Open Disk Utility, in the Utilities folder in Launchpad.
Insert the CD or DVD disc in the optical drive, and select it in the list at the left.
Choose File > New > “Disk Image from [disc name].”
Type a name for the disk image.
Choose an option from the Image Format pop-up menu.
Choose “compressed” to create a smaller disk image.
Choose “read-only” to create a disk image that’s quicker to create and open.
Click Save.
After Disk Utility creates the disk image, eject the original CD or DVD.
Select the disk image in the list at the left, and choose Images > Burn.
When the Burn Disc dialog appears, insert a blank CD or DVD, and then click Burn.

With Windows 7 I upgraded itunes to 11. Now in my itunes library, when I click on a song "original file could not be found" comes up. This happens with over 2000 songs, but it seems to be ones I recorded from cd's. Locate does not seem to work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Highlight a song that is supposedly missing, press CTRL+I to Get Info, say no when asked to locate the file, then look at the summary tab. Where does iTunes "think" the file should be? Where is it really? You may need to give a configuration file a minor tweak.

Windows Patching - Error when logging in - "The Specified procedure could not be found"

I am in the process of windows patahcing our estate with SCCM 2012 R2. All going well, except for 3 machines which have the error: "The Specified procedure could not be found" when the user logs in. I have tried to log in my self, created a new
local account (via my machine remotely), but still no luck. Have checked Event Viewer and Windows Update but cant see where it failed. Been checking the net for fixes but no luck. The machine is a Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise 32 bit, info for server if needed
is SCCM 2012 R2. I have attached the WindowsUpdate log, incase that can help? I dont want to spend ages removing previous updates (via SCCM) as I dont have the time!

Did you logon these 3 computers?
Have you tried to install the Windows Update manually for these 3 computers?
If no, have a try.
If yes and the error still persists, try to
reset Windows Update components for test.

Alias could not be found....problem related to Windows login

a couple of days ago, i was trying to get my new MBP setup to print to a printer attached to a Windows PC. I still don't have that working, but tried different things i read about on these discussions. One of these methods included designating a user account on the Windows PC. Since i couldn't get the printer to work, i disabled the Windows user account. After that, whenever i tried to connect to the Windows PC on my wireless network, i would get popup asking for authentication. The popup already had the network workgroup and name info filled in. All i had to do was provide a password. This name was the one i used in the past to access this computer so i used the corresponding PW. That resulted in another message that said something like 'the alias for the drive could not be opened cause the original item could not be found'. I researched these discussions & tried a couple of things, none of which worked. Finally, i thought about the user account on the Windows PC that i had setup & wondered if that had something to do with it. I re-enabled the account and the login worked!!! Actually, as long as i use the PW for the account, it works....regardless of the user name i use!
How do I get rid of this 'tie' i've got to the user account on the PC?? There's another PC on my network that i didnt try to install a printer with and i can connect to it without having an account on it for MAC access.

The cluster resource could not be found-SAP ECC on Windows Server 2008 MSCS

I'm installing SAP ECC 6.0 on Windows server 2008 MSCS Cluster. As mentioned in the guide, i've created a service and added a resource.
I was able to successfully configure the DB installation and cluster configuration. But when I start the ASCS installation, the installation fails when it tries to create system folders with the following error.
Error when sharing file system export (share) saploc : The cluster resource could not be found
I'm using a user with domain admin access and also a member of the local administrators group. I've even tried to install using the domain administrator user but still the problem exists.
Can anyone please let me know where am I going wrong ?
NB: The host on which I'm installing is not a domain controller but it is a member of a domain.

I've not created any shared folders manually and I've used the "Use domain of current user" option.
Actually SAPINST has created the usr and sap folder in the SAP drive (say E: drive) which is a clustered disk. The name of that clustered sidk is "Clustered Disk 1". I could able to open up the shared directories available in that SAP virtual host by issuing
<SAPGRP>. I don't know where am I going wrong:( I've also opened a call with a SAP and waiting for their reply.

CV02N Error in Windows 7: This file could not be found!

After uploading a file to the DMS, we could usually double click the file name and the file will be opened automatically in WORD.
This was succeeded in Windows XP.
But in Windows 7 environment, after clicking the file name, the WORD is started, no file opened. It says: This file could not be found!.
Is there any solution about this issue? Thanks!

without any problems, right?
Based on my research, the issue is caused by that some .dll files in your SSAS instance are corrupt. In your scenario, can you open other SSAS project? Please download the Adventure Works for SQL Server 2012 sample project and check if
you can open it or not.
