Could not complete purchase of Mountain Lion

I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8, and this is my hardware:
Hardware Overview:
  Model Name:          Mac Pro
  Model Identifier:          MacPro1,1
  Processor Name:          Dual-Core Intel Xeon
  Processor Speed:          2.66 GHz
  Number Of Processors:          2
  Total Number Of Cores:          4
L2 Cache (per processor):          4 MB
  Memory:          5 GB
  Bus Speed:          1.33 GHz
  Boot ROM Version:          MP11.005C.B08
  SMC Version (system):          1.7f10
It seems like I should be able to run Mountain Lion, but the App store tells me:
"We could not complete your purchase. OS X Mountain Lion is not compatible with this computer."
What's the "Model Identifier" minimum version required to install Mountain Lion?

Hi Niel!
Please also help.
Mine has the following specifications:

  Hardware UUID:          00000000-0000-1000-8000-0017F2F21E3D

  • The installer disc could not be found bootcamp mountain lion

    Hi,
Got a small problem when i'm trying to install Windows 7 (Downloaded from MSDN) Dual boot is giving me an error message 'the installer disc could not be found bootcamp mountain lion'
    I burned two DVD-r's
    1.
    http://cl.ly/image/0u3M3m1m3V0B
    2.
    http://cl.ly/image/093C2V2b1N07
Both of the disc's are not working in DUALBOOT
    System info:
    Macbook PRO  13'' - late 2011
    2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5
    4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Windows XP and Windows Vista are not supported, you must use Windows 7 Home or Professional. You must also burn the DVD at the lowest possible speed.

  • Max payne 3 "Could not complete purchase, there is not enough disk space available to install the product."

As most people should know, max payne 3 is a pretty big game, in fact, the second biggest game I know. However, when I try to purchase it, It says that it could not complete the purchase, there is  not enough disk space. Even though, the game requires 40 GB, I have well over 60 GB. Can anyone help me?

You're downloading a large installer package that unpacks to an even larger set of installed files. There has to be enough space for both at the same time, plus a margin of safety to avoid the risk of a boot failure. You would probably need at least 80 GB of free space, maybe a little more.

  • Genius could not complete purchase in store

I went into the local Apple store (Frisco, TX) today to pick up a 128GB iPhone 6.  Waited in line about 30 minutes.
Was assigned Shane to work with.  Everything goes smoothly.  Verifies account, etc.  However, he was unable to select my data plan when processing the order (I have a 40GB family share plan on AT&T).  He just looked at me and said, "it's not on here".  No attempt to trouble shoot anything.  He asked if I wanted to select one of the other data plans listed on his device (all individual plans).  Not a solution because I don't know what that would have done to my family share plan (this is the main number on the plan).
I expected a little more effort on his part to figure out how to get the purchase completed.  I love Apple but come on.  A little attempt to problem solve would be nice.  Maybe refer me to the genius bar or something.  Instead I got a big "see you later".
Anybody else have problems completing a purchase on an AT&T device??  I guess I can wait until AT&T has some phones in stock and go get it there.

  • "Updates could not be installed" running Mountain Lion 10.8.2

I am running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and trying to install Adobe Camera Raw 7.1 update. However, I receive the following message: "Updates could not be installed. Please contact your Administrator [namely, me!] if you wish to apply updates on your machine. Updates have been suppressed by the Administrator." I have, however, checked the box "Allow applications downloaded from Anywhere" in the Security pane of System Preferences.
    Please advise! Thanks

7.1 is only available for PSE11 not earlier versions.

I can purchase other apps, why not Mountain Lion.   I get the same message on my wife's IMAC.

The only thing that worked for me was to boot in safe mode.
Power down.  Then press power button and hold 'shift' key until grey screen with progress bar appears... Once booted and logged in just open safari and browse to applestore.
No trouble at all once I did this.
    Hope it helps.

  • OS X 10.6.8 - Mountain lion will not download. Error: "We could not complete your purchase."

I am currently running OS X 10.6.8 on an iMac (model identifier iMac11,1). I have purchased Mountain Lion so that we can run Adobe CC. I have been advised that Mavericks is not compatible with our proxy server.
When attempting download from the Mac app store I receive this error:
"We could not complete your purchase. The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed."
The following is shown in console when attempting to download:
    28/11/13 10:07:24 AM App Store[1824] *** Assertion failure in -[ISDistributionManager verifyDistributionAtURL:allowsDevSign:error:distributionController:], /SourceCache/Pisa/Pisa-60.8/Source/ISDistributionManager.m:146
Please help! I have read many discussions and there doesn't seem to be a fix for this as yet. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

The following article pointed me in a better direction:
    http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-20081398-263/os-x-10.7-cannot-be-installed-on-certain-drives/
I tried to go the partition route, but for some reason the operation failed.
I decided to attempt a Lion install again afterwards anyway, but once again it failed, but now my whole system was hosed and could not revert back to Snow Leopard.
I did a restore from time machine. Once that completed, I attempted to install Lion again, and ta da! it works now.
    What a pain.
