It seems like I should be able to run Mountain Lion, but the App store tells me:

What's the "Model Identifier" minimum version required to install Mountain Lion?

  • Max payne 3 "Could not complete purchase, there is not enough disk space available to install the product."

As most people should know, max payne 3 is a pretty big game, in fact, the second biggest game I know. However, when I try to purchase it, It says that it could not complete the purchase, there is  not enough disk space. Even though, the game requires 40 GB, I have well over 60 GB. Can anyone help me?

You're downloading a large installer package that unpacks to an even larger set of installed files. There has to be enough space for both at the same time, plus a margin of safety to avoid the risk of a boot failure. You would probably need at least 80 GB of free space, maybe a little more.

  • App, Could not complete purchase

    Greetings,
    Got this message after downloading.
    (Purchase payment done).
How to fix this and be able to download again?
    Thank you!

    Hi...
Installing the appropriate combo update may help.
For Lion v10.7 here >  OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo)
For Snow Leopard v10.6 here > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
Then restart your Mac. Try the App Store.
The combo udpate helped here >  ERROR: The product distribution file could not be verified.

  • Genius could not complete purchase in store

I went into the local Apple store (Frisco, TX) today to pick up a 128GB iPhone 6.  Waited in line about 30 minutes.
Was assigned Shane to work with.  Everything goes smoothly.  Verifies account, etc.  However, he was unable to select my data plan when processing the order (I have a 40GB family share plan on AT&T).  He just looked at me and said, "it's not on here".  No attempt to trouble shoot anything.  He asked if I wanted to select one of the other data plans listed on his device (all individual plans).  Not a solution because I don't know what that would have done to my family share plan (this is the main number on the plan).
I expected a little more effort on his part to figure out how to get the purchase completed.  I love Apple but come on.  A little attempt to problem solve would be nice.  Maybe refer me to the genius bar or something.  Instead I got a big "see you later".
Anybody else have problems completing a purchase on an AT&T device??  I guess I can wait until AT&T has some phones in stock and go get it there.

I am unable to redownload OS X Mavericks on a Late 2013 new Macbook Pro 13". I get a message saying "We could not complete your purchase" " OS X Mavericks can not be installed on this computer"
I nee an easy way to resolve this with Apple.

why is it this problematic to resolve?! obviously there's a valid installer image for our macs, why can we not have access to it to use on our laptops?
I do not understand, nor accept the explanation given before - about it being a newer model... it doesn't make sense... how does that translate to "no download available".
also, if it was a valid point - we would have had that download with the release of 10.9.1 - which we don't.

Installing the appropriate combo update may help...
If you are running v10..7 Lion, install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo)
For 10.6 Snow Leopard >  Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
Then restart your Mac. Try the App Store.
If that doesn't help, try the following..
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
    Click Go
Move the NetworkInterfaces.plist file from the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try downloading Mountain Lion.
You may also need to disable anti virus software and turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security (or Security & Privacy) > Firewall

  • HT4414 When I try to purchase Mountain Lion i get an error message:  "We could not complete your purchase.  The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed."  I can purchase other apps, why not Mountain Lion?

When I try to purchase Mountain Lion i get an error message:  "We could not complete your purchase.  The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed."
I can purchase other apps, why not Mountain Lion.   I get the same message on my wife's IMAC.

The only thing that worked for me was to boot in safe mode.
Power down.  Then press power button and hold 'shift' key until grey screen with progress bar appears... Once booted and logged in just open safari and browse to applestore.
No trouble at all once I did this.
    Hope it helps.

  • I tried to download Mavericks overnight and it never finished.  When I tried to download again I got this message "We could not complete your purchase. The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed." Help?

I tried to re-download Mavericks after an apparent failed attempt and now I get the message "We could not complete your purchase.  The product distribution file could not be verified.  It may be damaged or was not signed."
    Can anybody help?

Several causes for this problem have been reported. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when it's resolved.
    Step 1
    Back up all data.
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, make a note of them and then deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server. Restore the previous settings if that happens.
    Step 2
Rebuild the Spotlight index. If you try to search now from the magnifying-glass icon in the top right corner of the display, there will be an indication that indexing is in progress.
    Step 3
Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
