Could not create pool connection. the dbms driver exception was : null
Hi,
I am creating Data source to connect to my DB2 database
Details of the connections are as follows
1) URL : jdbc:as400://hostname;translate binary=true
2) Driver class : com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver
am getting following error when I am trying to deploy the data source to server
An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
weblogic.application.ModuleException:
weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: null
Connection is successful using test configuration.
Weblogic Version am using is 10.3.
Please help.
Thanks,
Arun
Hi. That means the JDBC driver you specified threw a NullPointerException
when we tried to make a connection with it...
Can you show the XML file for the DataSource? It's in the domain's
config/jdbc directory.

You are running the Examples application shipped with WLS, which I guest
the
correct DB to connect with is Cloudscape yet to Oracle, unless you make
changes to the original ConnectionPool in the examples. Anyhow, please
show
us your configuration of the ConnectionPool used when this error pops.

Could not create pool connection with MySql
When starting weblogic server I obtain the following error message when the conection
pool for a MySql database should be established. What's the mistake I am doing? #The
examples in the weblogic.properties put a "server=DEMO to the props. What is this
server related to the MySql RDBMS? Is it mandatory? After the error message produced
by Weblogic you'll find some information about the MySql setup (my.ini) I have made.

Hi,
When trying to create a DS on a WLS 10.3 on Windows Vista to connect to an Oracle 10.2.0.4 RAC database, I am getting the exception below. I use the OCI driver. Everything's fine when I use the thin driver though.

I have already tested with a standalone program and it works, but error is thrown with weblogic server.
My connection string is jdbc:oracle:oci:@//localhost:1521/orcl11
Any ideas on how this error can be avoided?
Thanks

The DBMS driver exception was: 166
Hi, I have a problem with the creation of a pool using 'thin'. My weblogic is configured with option:
-Doracle.net.tns_admin
In tnsname i has configurate the conection and if i has a sqlplus coneccion is right, and driver for jdbc isin CLASSPATH.
when i trie to make Pool in weblogic (weblogic 8 with SP6) this is message i obtain:
<26-ene-2011 10H13' CET> <Warning> <JDBC> <BEA-001129> <Received exception while creating connection for pool "NuevoPool": 166>
<26-ene-2011 10H13' CET> <Error> <JDBC> <BEA-001150> <Connection Pool "NuevoPool" deployment failed with the following error: 0:Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: 166.>
someone has idea where is the problem or some actions to find problem
Thanks so much.Can you show us what happens when you try to connect using the driver directly to the DBMS,
using the same properties, URL, and classpath as WebLogic, with a simple program like:
------------------------------------------------------------------------- thin.java ---------------------------------
import java.util.*;
import java.sql.*;
public class thin
public static void main(String argv[]) throws Exception
Connection c = null;
try
Driver dr = new oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver();
Properties props = new Properties();
props.put("user", "scott");
props.put("password", "tiger");
String URL = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@MyDBMSBox:1531:MYSID";
c = dr.connect(URL, props);
System.out.println("The driver is " + c.getMetaData().getDriverVersion() );
System.out.println("The DBMS is " + c.getMetaData().getDatabaseProductVersion() );
catch (Exception e)
e.printStackTrace();
finally { try {c.close();} catch (Exception ign){} }

The Windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive
I am trying to use bootcamp assistant to set up windows 7 on my 27" iMac (late 2013). I follow the instructions: select all the tasks in the 'select tasks' pane, then I choose the 32GB MS-DOS (FAT-32) flash drive that I am using and the windows 7 home premium image file and click continue. In the Task Status pane, it first formats the flash drive, copies the windows files and downloads windows support software. However every time that I have tried this, when the progress bar is about 2/3 of the way finished -- during the 'Downloading Windows Support Software' task -- an error pops up saying that 'The Windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive' and brings me back to the task selection pane. Upon reading other articles, I have downloaded the latest bootcamp5.1.5621.zip file, but I don't know what to do with it. Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
AdamJust posting this for anyone else having this problem. I found that the problem was that I was using a USB 3.0 flash drive which is not natively supported by windows. So I think BCA was trying to prevent me from downloading all the files for no reason.

I have changed my password and still can't get home sharing to work. Get the message "Home sharing could not be activated because the account or password was incorrect." It's what I have used to sign in here! Any help much appreciated.
So I reset my Apple ID password. Which then stopped my MobileMe account from working. Hang on - these were 2 different accounts a while ago, with different passwords!!!
So I have logged back in to MobileMe with my AppleID, and that's working again. After a short wait I can now create Home Sharing again.
Folks, I think we have just had our Apple IDs merged with our MobileMe accounts!! With no consultation or warning.
My guess is that this is the most seamless way for Apple to do it, as the vast majority of people use only one email address and one password for everything. Only those of us who had the same email adress but different a different passwords for MobileMe and Apple ID will have noticed. Annoying for us few, but a clever strategy on Apple's part, becasue we have been driven to fix the issue ourselves by chaning the password, and in doing so we have realised that our mobileme account is now the same thing as our Apple ID. -
Could not create JCOClient Connection
I am seeing the issues that are common, as pointed out in these threads:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_all&query=%22couldnotcreate+JCOClientConnection%22&adv=false&sortby=sdn_updated_on&sortmode=descending
But I have increased the pool to 100 and connectino max to 200 in my 2 JCos (transactional and metadata). The transactional RFC uses ticket, and we have the tickets configured on the back end. The metadata uses a hard coded user with full rights.
When I run the web dynpro, I get a series of the JCO Errors:
Could not create JCOClientConnection for logical System: 'SAPERP_MODELDATA' - Model: 'class com.sap.bb.va02_bb.model_gen_func.Gen_Func'
When I change the ticket user in the transactional RFC to my hard coded user, there are no problems. Yet, the ticket tests good on the back end in the JCO Maintenance screen, and I used my account in both tests, so my personal authorizations on the back end are valid. Could the ticket be expriring too soon? How can I check this?Can you connect to that DBMS using that driver, from a simple standlalone
Java program? -
The disk could not be used because the disc drive is not supported
The internal DVD burner in my G4 died, so I'm trying to use an external DVD drive. However, when I connect it and insert a blank DVD-R, it's ejected and the above error pops up, error code 0x80020025. I tried resetting the PRAM but when I did the screen would just stay black, until I let go of the keys.
I've used the external drive before on another G4 so I know it works, and the DVDs are brand new.
Any ideas.
ThanksSorry but your post seems to be misdirected. It has nothing to do with wireless networking nor Windows.
I suggest that you post your question in the appropriate Power Mac G4 discussion area. -

Hi, jjsylves.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If the media is still located on your computer, I would create a version specifically for the iPad. To create and iPad version in iTunes 11 select the media that you are wanting to convert. From there, select the File menu > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV version. Once the media has been converted, sync the iPad version to the iPad.

Error when creating Pool Connection
"Hi,
I have reviewed a lot of postings for this type of error and nothing mentioned in replies have helped me to get over this issue.
I am trying to create a pool via the admin console in WL6.0sp1. Using Oracle Thin driver. The config information is as follows:
Name: MydbPool
url: jdbc:oracle:thin@pavilion:1521:star
driver classname: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
Properties: user=bentley; password=flyaway
Initial Capacity: 1
Max Capacity: 2
When I startup WL, I get the following error message:
<Nov 28, 2001 1:36:21 AM EST> <Error> <JDBC Connection Pool> <Cannot startup con
nection pool "MerlinJdbcPool" weblogic.common.ResourceException:
Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was:
java.sql.SQLException: Invalid Oracle URL specified: OracleDriver.connect
My PATH is defined as:
PATH=F:\oracle\ora81\lib;f:\oracle\ora81\jdbc\lib;f:\jdk1.3.1_01\bin;F:\oracle\o
ra81\bin;f:\Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.1.7\bin;D:\WINNT\system32;D:\WINNT;D:\WIN
NT\System32\Wbem;f:\Program Files\Symantec\pcAnywhere\;F:\PROGRA~1\SYMANTEC\PCAN
YW~1\;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND
And my CLASSPATH is defined as:
classpath=f:\bea2\wlserver6.0sp1\lib\weblogic.jar;f:\oracle\ora81\jdbc\lib\classes12.zip
And my startWeblogic.cmd file correctly appends %PATH% anactually, no, the thin driver reacts badly to being told a server. It tries to
become the type-2 driver and use the Oracle OCI stuff. If the customer can
make a standalone program connect to the DBMS with that driver and URL,
then maybe they need to alter the classpath of the server to have that
driver come before any weblogic stuff. We ship an older version of the
driver, and that may be being used because it's ahead in the classpath.
