Hi All,
when i am trying to execute the following SQL command in Hana 7 server i am getting the following error message.
Error message:
Could not execute 'IMPORT FROM '/dropbox/S0008356087/NASDAQ.ctl''
SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: Cannot open Control file, /dropbox/S0008356087/NASDAQ.ctl
I have checked all the syntax and all are fine.
my doubt is first i have assigned to hana 5 server.after that due to some outage they have migrated me to hana 7 server.
due to this do am i getting or i don't have access to that directory.
Here is folder that i have created the hana dev center.
Folder name : S0008356087
and last is for all the hana servers is FTP folder is same or it will change from server to server

Please try again now - your suspicion was absolutely right: you didn't have access to the folder from the new server. Should be fixed now...

Hi friends,
Please help me.
I have created three wage types
2001-Basic Pay
2002-HRA
2003-Conveyance
When I generated remuneration statement all these three wage types where displayed along with EE EPF contribution and VPF contribution which I have assigned earlier in infotype.
After that for posting to FI, I created three symbolic accounts
(Basic, HRA and Conveyance together as 0001 symbolic account I(accounted posting to expense report)
Employees contribution to PF ( i.e.EE EPF contribution and EE VPF contribution) to (PFEE) symbolic account II (accounted posting to balance sheet)
Employers contribution to PF ( i.e Employer PF contribution and Employer pension contribution) to (PFER) symbolic account III (accounted posting to expense report)
After this I have grouped employees as 3 for salaried employees, after this I have assigned the same to number 3 to PPMOD under three (I am not sure this is correct, please advise)
Then with the help of an FI consultant, I assigned PFEE to balance sheet and 0001 and PFER to expense account.
Now when I activated 'Execute Run' for finance posting of payroll of a personal number an error is shown 'Errors Occured! Check Error Log' payroll results could not be imported.
I doubt I missed some steps. Please help

No. After upgrading (and of course make a back up first) you will need to update iPhoto to v9.6.1 (you won't be able to do this prior to upgrading). Here's how:
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
Photos is v1 of a new app, as yes it's not as mature as iPhoto. It uses a different technology for working with external editors. That requires Adobe to write an extension to let it hook into the new app. Not done yet, neither has anyone else.
Going forward: iPhoto will run on OS 10.10., but there is no guarantee for subsequent versions of the OS. You might want to factor that into your anger term thinking.

The disk could not be read from or written to Importing CD's

When I import a CD into iTunes the CD is automatically added to my library but not my ipod. I then go to the file option and click on update Shane's ipod, so that I can add the songs in my library to my ipod and I get the following message. The ipod "Shane's ipod" cannot be update. The disk could not be read from or written to.
Basically, the only way that I have been able to add tunes to my ipod is to import them to the library, then disconnect the usb and reconnect it. That way my ipod is updated and the songs are entered on it. There has to be any easier way for me to update the songs on my ipod as I add them to the library???? Any help would be appreciated.

Need information to help
what version of iPhoto? Is OS X 10.8 as you state correct for the OS? Has it ever worked? What has changed since it worked? Will Image Capture ( in your applications folder) import the photos? How are you importing - USB to the camera? USB card reader? built in card reader?
Any other clues that would help a total stranger who can not see you or your computer assist you?

This is a bug in Mail. The mailbox archiving function does not include attachments, which gives the error with the import. To workaround this you can create a mailbox in Mail and copy to it all emails you want to export. Then go in Finder to [user]/Library/Mail/Mailboxes en select the created mailbox. Copy this to the public directory of your other mac. Then start Mail on that other mac and import the mailbox from the public directory. Should work now.

Importing photos from CF card to lightroom. Results say files could not be imported as they could not be read.

So, I'm replying to myself I guess because I figured it out! Go to Import in lightroom, choose Destination which is bottom right corner, select applications and then select Adobe Photoshop CS5. I'm not sure why the lightroom application did not show up under applications, but I tried this and it worked. Also not sure if I clicked any other Adobe application it would have worked, but I don't plan to change anything unless someone tells me this is an issue.
This is most simplistic way for me to explain it and if I can understand it anyone can. This worked for me the first time, hopefully it will be that easy for you!

The vCard must not be a compatible format. (Unfortunately, there are multiple formats.)
Often your carrier can transfer contacts between devices from different manufacturers. Try visiting your carrier's retail outlet and see if they can do this for you.

The ipod cannot be synched. the disk could not be read from or written to?

So I've done everything possible to try to get my touch to sync all my songs from my itunes library at once and nothing is working. So sadly i spent the entire day plugging and unpluggin the usb cord because at most i could put 30 songs on my touch before it came up with the error "the ipod cannot be synched. The disk could not be read from or written to." this is very frustrating as i have many videos i purchased on itunes with anticipation of putting them on my touch but if i try to do so at most it downloads half then it pops up with the same error. If anyone of y'all can help, that would be greatly appreciated i'm slowly but surely giving up on the touch all together even though i love it this error to it is very time consuming and annoying.

Same problem. With an iPod Touch.
This began after I accidently pulled out the USB before it was fully ejected. (I hit eject, and the icon vanished from iTunes, so I THOUGHT I was okay...) But I got the error. And since then, I've got the error you speak of. Mine may be a tad off.
When I drag a song from iTunes or the Finder into the iPod it copies fine but then the error pops up.
But now it's fixed, and I'm not sure why. And I'm hoping it doesn't come back.
I remember I went into the iPod Touch itself. Went to...
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
After that, I got back to the window from iTunes asking if I want to manually manage songs. I unchecked the box next to the choice of letting iTunes do it automatically.
But Even after that, I had the synching problem.
So I went into the main iPod Touch tab in iTunes. Under options the "Manually manage music and videos" box WAS CHECKED. I decided to uncheck it. Maybe the iPod was observing 'Opposite Day'. I know my cellphone does. On my cellphone, when I choose to play videos without sound, it plays WITH sound. So, I dunno...
Anyway, after I UNCHECKED "Manually manage music and videos" I ejected the iPod and reconnected it. And I plugged the USB into another port. Guess what? It didn't automatically synch. And when I added music on my own from either iTunes or the Finder, it worked well too. The weirdest thing... when I went to have a look at the box next to "Manually manage music and videos" - it had been checked again, without my doing.
UPDATE: And as I began typing that last sentence - THE ERROR CAME BACK. So.. NEVERMIND! I'm still stuck and angry!
*UPDATE II:* The error happened again after a song I was listing to in iTunes from the Touch ended. Once it ended, the error popped up and music stopped playing. I tried dragging a new song from iTunes into the Touch and it wouldn't let me. I unplugged and then plugged the iPod back in, and dragged songs again. So far it works... SO FAR. So far no errors. I tried deleting a song from the Touch and also no problem.
*UPDATE III:* I did a test. I added album artwork to songs that had none, already inside my Touch. It took a bit longer than it would have on my computer, but all tracks on the album got the art work, and the error message has yet to display since I did so.
*UPDATE IV* I've only been adding up to 10 songs at a time, worried that it would freeze. This time I added 31 songs, and they all imported - no error messages. Currently I'm worried that if I play a song from my Touch through iTunes the message will return. I'm too afraid to do it deliberately. I know I was able to do so with no problem with my 2nd Gen 10GB iPod I've had for years. That was working with my computer as of 3 days ago!

Sorry to see your having these issues Jihant. Posted below I have some links that may assist you with your troubleshooting steps.
One of the first things you may want to look at is
1. Download and Install latest iTunes Software. You should have iTunes 7.2
2. You stated earlier you did the 5 Rs. So you have done a Reset and Restore. I would give it one more shot after you upgraded iTunes as needed.
If this still does not resolve the issue. Try copying songs over 1 at a time. Do not copy over a playlist. Then try a new play list all together. Create a new playlist.
You can also take a CD you may have and put import songs into iTunes then see if those songs will copy over.
You may also create a new user and open up iTunes in a new user and import a cd with some songs and see if the same issue occurs.

ITunes 9.0.3 "disk could not be read from or written to"

Hi there,
I'm using a MacBook (OS 10.5.8) and just recently downloaded iTunes 9.0.3 (15). Since then, I have not been able to properly sync any of my iPods: Classic 20GB (4th Generation), 2GB Nano (1st Generation) and a Classic 80GB (6th Generation).
Upon connection, iTunes recognizes all of these devices, but when I try to sync them, I would say a good half of the songs in my playlists do not appear and I receive the error message "Attempting to copy to the disk "...iPod" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."
I have tried restoring one of them, which did not work at all and now it's playlists are even more sparse.
I also have an iPhone 3GS 16GB, but have not tried syncing it, because I do not want my last device to end up in the same condition.
I was thinking to uninstall 9.0.3 and go back to 8, and I have already saved all my playlists as .xml files for easy (re)importation. Can anyone confirm if this is a good idea / will it cause compatibility problems with my iPhone if I downgrade?

I wanted to let you know that from the link you shared, I was able to find out why I was getting that error message with iTunes:
1) I needed to update certain software (I hadn’t received a notice for this like normal, so it never occurred to me). In any case, ‘apple’ → ‘software update’ did the trick.
2) I also I had one corrupt music file, however, once I updated all the software, it detected which one for me.
