for months my server is ok.
but, today it happened the following error
Could not get server configuration in ldap, using cached configuration information
Please help me. What to do?
I have verified that ldap is running
The error log shows like this:

I am trying to get iPlanet Messaging Server 5.2 Patch 1 running, but when I run start-msg
I get the following error message:
General Warning: could not get server configuration in ldap, using cached configuration information
Note: I created this system using a ufsdump and ufsrestore combination on the instance directory.
Other file systems were not copied over.
My guess is that something else may be missing?
I ran ns-slapd first before starting the messaging server.

Guys,
desperately need some help here. I have an installation consisting of 4 mtas that speak to an ldap. I'm currently in the process of adding 2 more. I've added the fifth and there has been no problem whatsoever. I'm now trying to add the sixth. I install the software. There are no error messages as the software installs. It's able to see both the configuration and the user directories. Once this is finished I immediately go and run start-msg and for each component I get the message :
"General Warning: could not get server configuration in ldap, using cached configuration information".
I've tried pinging and tracerouting my ldap server with no problem, I can telnet/ssh to it. My server configuration is almost eaxctly the same as the fifth server. I make no other changes after the installation scripts finishes, yet it can't talk to the ldap.
I running IMS5.2p1 on a Solaris 8 SPARC server.

AliThat error message only comes up when the server can't get to the config ldap server on startup. There's no other time when you see this.
There is either a mis-configuration of your server, or of your ldap, or you just can't get there from here.
Why are you installing 5.2p1, now? 5.2p2 has been out for over a year. ..
6.0 has been out for well over a year, and 6.2 has been out for many months, now. I hate to see you installing old software, when new is available. -

There are two servers that have OIM installed, development server and test server. From development server, we can
provision to Lotus Notes just fine. But for test server everytime when

There is no firewall or antivirus running in both systems.
Both server is virtual server using VMWare.

DB: Oracle 10gR2 10.2.0.2
AS: Oracle AS 10g 10.1.3.3.0
OIM 9.1.0

I am getting Accessing iTunes Store.. in the midlle pane with the status bar Never able to access it. iTunes does not lockup but cannot access itunes. Also tried to update current version 10.6.1.7 of itunes and i get could not contact server??? thoughts please. PC specs. Windows Vista home 64 bit OS. IE 9

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Gifs not getting served when defaultSetvlet is configured

I have configured my WLAS 4.5.1 to have a defaultServlet with the
following lines:
weblogic.httpd.register.myservlet=com.domain.MyServlet
weblogic.httpd.defaultServlet=myservlet
I then find that .gifs in the generated HTML are not getting served to
my browser. It appears that the GET requests for the gifs go to my
default servlet which doesn't handle the request.
Is there a way to configure WLAS so that the default servlet gets all
requests except for .gifs?
Or is there another solution?

gif is registered as a MIME type in weblogic.properties (out-of-box). Please
check weblogic.httpd.mimeType.image/gif=gif in your weblogic.properties
file.

the system is PI 7.0 EHP1 oraclei Win2003 server, I configured SLD but I run RZ70, having error "RFC call failed: JCO.Server could not find server function 'SET_SLD_DATA' ". I know there are lot of tread about this error, but none of themsolve my problem. all JCO, RFC connections and SDL DATA supplier(VA) seem OK. error message in SM21 is "Could not send SLD data"

The system could not send the data that has been collected automatical
for the System Landscape Directory (SLD). Check whether the gateway
configured in transaction RZ70 has been started and whether the SLD
bridge has been registered with this gateway.
You can use transaction SM59 to check this in the sending system for t
implemented RFC destinations. The RFC destinations have the standard
names "SLD_UC" for Unicode sending systems and "SLD_NUC" for non-Unico
sending systems. If a different RFC destination has been entered in
RZ70, check this destination instead.
You can use the Gateway Monitor to check the target gateways. In ABAP
systems, this monitor is started with transaction SMGW, or you can use
the external SAP program "gwmon". Check whether the specified gateway
has an active registration.

You may be aware but if you are not --->RZ70 creates the required SLD* RFCs during runtime - therefore if you have defined these RFCs manually first using the same namespace you can get RFC conflicts which result in a failed submission
Please also check the user in the RFC is known to both systems and has required authorization to write to SLD
Generally with SLD you have to install or select a suitable gateway to handle incoming data supply traffic
Also the gateway you are using has be known to SLD and reflected in RZ70 - i.e these defintions have to be the same
It is also recommended to delete all references to SLD_* RFCs in data supplier and target SLD
after a failed submission attempt to allow RZ70 to recreate these consistently once the above has been checked

I upgraded JSPM sucessfully from 14 to 17.Then i was trying to apply JAVA sp's one by one using single sp option JSPM tool.
I DEPLOYED the first sp component sucesfully but after that the next component gave warning in JSPM check that SDM is not started.
I checked MMC.Dispatcher was YELLOW and J2EE status info unavailable. Cannot use JCMON to start SDM..option 20 gives error--cannot access shared memory

Could not get to host:port/pls/apex
I have the http server running and can see the host/ page.
But could not get the any host:port/* pages.
This is Apex 3.1 on 10gR2 database
I have run the install script successfully for setting up a dev environment as the install guide directed. The config file under Apache/Apache has been set to 80 and listenning to 80.
Could anyone help me out what I should check/verify ?

KenI'm having a similar problem putting Apex 3.0 on a 9.2.0.6 db that runs our Oracle 11i ERP. The install is on the database tier of a 2-Tier ERP instance. Did the 3.0 install and the configuration for the httpd.conf and wdbsvr.app (DAD_apex). When I try to get to the Admin page I get ""The page cannot be displayed" error.

Hyperion Planning - Invalid or could not find module configuration

I have changed the essbase properties file in both essbase server and reporting server as below and restarted all the hyperion services.

After restarting the services, I am not able to open the planning applications. I am getting error message - "Invalid or could not find module configuration"

Aravindh KWas that error straight after restarting the services, usually that type of error can be caused if the jdbc connection pool is full which shouldnt really be happening when the service is starting up.
Are you able to log into Planning directly though? If not, restart the service again and check if any errors are logged.

It is able to deploy the BPEL artifact but unable for the decision service, i.e. the Business Rule. I've been looking at web resources for answers but unable to find one. I've resolved the error. It was the fact that I was pointing to the wrong rmi port. I found out by typing out the "opmnctl status -l" on the command line and realised that my rmi port was 12401 instead of 23791. Hence, under the "deployDecisionServices" namespace in the build.xml file, I modified it from "rmiport="${rmiport}" to "rmiport="12401"" and deploy it and everything works. I am running the second example in the BPEL Help tutorial. In that we are supposed to run ant from tutorials\127.OrderBookingTutorial\PriceQuote and it gives error because it is not able to resolve
my PC name 5mq9p91. I changed couple of build.properties files and for hostname put in the IP address, so some of these worked, but some of the places still have 5mq9p91 causing FAILURE.
Where does ant get my machine name, how I can get it to pull full qualified name or the IP address?

Actual problem is once I complete this exercise, partner link has compilation error, because the WSDL does not have complete qualified PC name.
In the WSDL you can see the reference to "soap:address location="http://5MQ9P91:8888/orabpel/default/RapidDistributors/1.0""
how do I change this to have complete qualified address?

Few things I did to solve the problem, without much success:
Installed BPEL and when I use firefox I get DNS Lookup Error

Now if I use http://5mq9p91.na.zzzzz.net:8888/ it works fine and if I use the IP address it works fine.
Have the same problem with IE, but after putting entried in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file problem went away.
I also added DNS Suffix na.zzzzz.com in the Control Panel --> Network --> TCP/IP --> Advanced --> DNS Tab

changed hostname and put in the IP Address, and this worked.
But now that I run ANT it still has the "Could not get DeploymentManager" problem, so it was not because of machine name translation.
so now what?
more over, actual problem is to fix the WSDL file:
"http://11.111.111.11:8888/orabpel/default/RapidDistributors/RapidDistributors?wsdl".
If WSDL file is fixed my tutorial example may work....

Google cloud print "could not get printer information from hp"
As of today google cloud print has stopped working with my laser jet pro. I started getting an error message that "hp eprint is unavailable at this time". I decided to remove my hp printer from google cloud print. I haven't been able to add it back in since. Every time I try to verify the printer with google cloud print I get the error message "could not get printer information from hp". Everything seems to be configured properly as far as I can tell. I even removed the printer from hp connected and readded the printer and have changed my printers email address. Help please! I am on Chrome OS and this is the only option I have to print.
The issue just kind of resolved itself today and I was able to add the printer. I'm assuming it was some kind of server issue on hp's end because I haven't changed anything since yesterday.

Security Agent: Could not get the user record from OpenDirectory
Hi,
Two months ago I had to change my SSD due to a damage at the old one. In the Apple shop they installed OS X Lion with a image from their image-server.
After that the Mac was quite slow in booting. With the old SSD (128 GB) booting takes 25 sec now it takes 75 sec.
I tried different things to solve the problem without result. First I asked in the shop, then I googled the problem all with no real solution.
Today now I searched in the log files. I found the following:

Where can I go to learn more about this 'erasure' of network configuration if the mac tries to connect to a server while booting?
I get the same error message as the OP. My account is an Admin on the machine. It's configured to automatically log in on boot -- except sometimes it fails. It has a login-item which runs a bash script that makes an https request to a nearby machine. Maybe I should make this script sleep a while so the https action happens after the boot sequence is done? (unlike SmashHuevo, my user needs to be an Admin)
