What does the crash report say?
And most likely this will be due to a corrupt font on the system, or corrupt OS font caches (see http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-fonts-photoshop-cs5.html ).

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details like the actual crash logs. From your description it simply sounds like your graphics hardware is acting up, so update the graphics driver. Likewise, you may simply run out of disk space for the PS scratch file, so check that, too.

Do you have a perpetual license (not a cloud subscription)?
If so, then you will have received a serial number.
You need to follow the prompts to the point where you enter your serial number and enter it. That should activate the software.
You'll need also to make sure you've updated it to the latest release. The specific number of that will depend on what kind of system you have.

Are you trying to open Photoshop directly, or open it by double clicking on a Photoshop document, like a PSD file? If the former, then you might need to reinstall. Resetting Preferences would be the firs step, but I am not sure if that will work if Photoshop is not opening in the first place.
Try doing so anyway. Hold down Shift Alt Ctrl (Shift Opt Cmd) while opening Photoshop. OK the message to delete Preferences.
If you get the unexpected end of file error while trying to open Photoshop via a PSD document, then there is more than a good chance that that file is toast.
If still stuck, we need to know Operating System, and Photoshop version.

ITunes will not work - QT fails to initialize

Like many others here, I've had problems ever since downloading itunes 5. When I try to launch iTunes, I get an error stating "QT failed to initialize. Error# -2095. Please make sure QT is properly installed."
I've tried removing QT using add/remove programs (I thought I would remove it and start with a new download), but when its gets to the end of the removal process, I get "QT failed to initialize. Error# 63441. Please make sure QT is properly installed" then "Error 1402.Could not open Key: HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apple Computer, Inc\QuickTime\installed File Types\3g2,3gp2. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key."
I've read thru a number of the posts and tried several of the fixes but nothing seems to work. I cannot launch iTunes because QT doesn't work, but I can't launch QT to try to fix the problem.
Any ideas?

CS5 master could not install Photoshop or Indesign

After first having had problems with the overall install (as in, nothing installed), finding an obscure suggestion that seemed to work (), I relaunched the install... seemed to be working, and I was getting real excited, only to have the following listed at the end as NOT installed: Photoshop, InDesign
Vista 64 bit OS

Why does Photoshop Fail to initialize menus

Hello!
I used to work on CS6 and wanted to try the CS6 extended edition. I uninstalled CS6 and proceed with the reinstallation of CS6 ext. But it just won't start... Everytime i try, there's a pop-up windows which tell me that photoshop crashed at "initializing menus"... i tried to uninstall it and get back to my old CS6 but i got the same problem... any help?

Usually crashing at that points means an OS problem.
But without seeing the crash report, I can't know for sure.

You are not running with sufficient permissions and/or are low on temporary disk space, so the install files never get extracted properly. Make sure, there is ienough room left in C:\Users\[You]\AppData\Local\Temp and you run any installs as admin.

Could not activate Photoshop 2014

I ordered below plan. With Mac and CC, I downloaded photoshop 2014 but couldn't activate although I logged in with account that is subscribing the plan.
Creative Cloud Photography plan (one-year)
It is just keep asking the serial number, as it couldn't verify the plan I ordered with logged in account.
Is there difference between Photoshop and Photoshop 2014??

You subscription looks OK from our end. Would suggest you to sign out and Sign in back to Creative Cloud Desktop app and then check. Sign out, Sign in | Creative Cloud Desktop app

Could not download drivers (Failed to open page) at least 12 hours

subj for RAID(SCSI adapter) drivers for HP ProLiant ML350 G4 Server.
Try to open page from different locations(Spain, USA, Russia) with no luck.
It seems that download servers are down for 12 hours.

I put everything back to what it was (Cookies plugin is back, etc), before I used the Terminal app. Hope you can decipher.

Hi,
Hoping somebody can help.I have Adobe photoshop elements 2.0 (i know its pretty old).Its always worked well until lately its bringing this message up and not letting me open it : could not inialize photoshop elements could not initialize ACE implementation.
I have been trying to clean up the computer and am not 100% confident at using the computer so im afraid i have deleted or locked something that this program needs to run.
Can any body help?

Repair does not work on any Windows version of PSE. Try resetting the preferences: Press and hold CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT when launching Elements until you see a box asking if you want to delete the settings. Yes, you do.
