Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please ck that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full.
This is an Alert when I open the browser. It isn't functioning at all. I've cleared ample space on my C drive, but I cannot find the application's profile directory to check the read/write restrictions.

I suddenly encounter this error message from Fire Fox.
Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features.
I uninstalled the browser and download a new version but it does not resolve the issue.
I know my hard disc has ample space. I do NOT know where to find the Profile directory to fix the read restriction box.

New Windows 7 computer. After installing Firefox, every time I bring it up I get the following message:

Then Firefox comes up, but will not function at all - can enter url address, but will not respond to ANY clicks, so can not go to any site. This link shows how to fix this - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Could+not+initialize+the+browser+security+component

When I open the application the following alert appears: "Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory." There is a solution on the support site but only for Windows-based Firefox, and I'm a Mac user. I have plenty of room on my hard disk.

10.2.8 installation and external hard disk does not show on desktop
I just reinstalled OS X 10.2 (by erasing the hard disk during installation) and upgraded with the Combo pack to 10.2.8 . This is an iMac G4 1GHz with a 17-inch display. I tried connecting a Western Digital MyBook with 500Gb through both the USB port and through FireWire. In both cases the hard drive does not appear on the desktop BUT does appear in the Disk Utility program and in the System Information window. Finder, therefore, doesn't display the drive. The MyBook drive is formatted to Windows FAT 32. Before I reinstalled OS X 10.2.8, this machine was running 10.3.9 and the drive did appear (I'm still searching for the 10.3 disk).
Is this an issue with OS X 10.2.8? Given the drive is detected by the System Information section and by the Disk Utility, is there a way of forcing Finder to display it (and allow access)?Sometimes I have found that I have to turn of the ext. hd and then reconnect the firewire cables. there is a cylinder that is an inch away from one of the firewire plugs, which should be connected toward the tower and the other firewire plug toward the ext. hd. have patience, sometimes it will show up. also a restart maybe...

Question
Do you have a fix for the problem with Avast. Your upgrade process notifies me that it is not compatible with Avast so I always delete it. Soon I will just start using IE since Avast has worked fantastic for me. But I would rather not. Please help.Avast needs to update their Web Rep add-on for Firefox 5.0.
You can look at the new pre-release version of Avast for Firefox 5.

Problems with file transfer to application server
Hi Experts,
am using sap 4.0 version. Now i want to transfer data to application sever in csv format.
I have doubt, since 4.0 is not a unicode check then how can we handle text while transferring to application server.
how we find the text is double bit or single bit? how can i convert this and download to al11.Hi
If you want to transfer the file to App Server through a custom Program, then you need to use
V_FILENAME = Complete path with filename.
Open dataset V_FILENAME FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
if sy-subrc EQ 0.
loop at itab into watab.
move watab to V_String.
transfer V_String to V_FILENAME
endloop.
endif.
If you want to transfer the file to App Server manually then use the transaction.
CG3Z
If you want to get the file from App Server through a custom Program, then you need to use
Open dataset V_FILENAME FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
if SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
DO.
Read dataset V_FILENAME INTO V_STRING.
if sy-subrc ne 0.
exit.
endif.
Move this V_string to Wa
append wa to itab
enddo.
endif.
If you want to Copy the file from App Server manually then use the transaction.
CG3Y
If you want to append the file , then first find out if the file is present in the asked location or not.
Call the FM to List all the Files in the directory - 'RZL_READ_DIR_LOCAL' and store the data in an internal table
Search this internal table to see if the file already exists.
if it is present use
OPEN dataset V_FILENAME in text mode for appending.
if sy-subrc EQ 0.
loop at itab into watab.
move watab to V_String.
transfer V_String to V_FILENAME
endloop.
endif.
Do not forget to CLOSE DATEST after opening it.
