Could not make connection to 11g PS1 BAM from Jdev 11.1.1.2.0

Hi,
Could not make a connection to 11g PS1 BAM store from Jdev 11.1.1.2.0.
gave the same host and port details for BAM web host/BAM server host(specified in BAM server properties on the server) in the BAM connection details.
gives the following error when testing the connection.
Testing HTTP connection ... success.
Testing Data Object browsing ... success.
Testing JNDI connection ... failed.
Failed to establish a connection to "ewftwn58.ebiz.verizon.com" at port 9001;
Please verify BAM Server Host & JNDI Port.
2 of 3 tests successful..
i have tried by giving host name and IP address but still getting this error.
Thanks in Adv.
Regards,
Chaitu.

I am getting this same problem with PS2 11.1.1.3. This works on my single node environment, but not on our clustered environment. Same error as chaitu
Testing HTTP connection     ... success.
Testing Data Object browsing     ... success.
Testing JNDI connection     ... failed.
Failed to establish a connection to "vprbamch1vhn1.mfltest.co.uk" at port 9001;
Please verify BAM Server Host & JNDI Port.
2 of 3 tests successful.
I have checked my proxy settings in JDev - I have included *.mfltest.co.uk.
I have checked my adapter config and it all seems correct.
Anyone find out what was wrong with their configuration when they get this issue.
Mark.

  • Could not make connection to source system

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying to fetch data based on selection for last month in info-package but when I try to enter selection (pull down button), I get error message - "Could not make connection to source system..."
    Any idea why this message?
    I have already checked connection to ECC - is fine.
    Datasource is replicated.
    Also if I try to run info-package without selection - I am getting yellow status, No data fetched. RSA3 shows many rows but Info-package to data (Full extraction.)
    Regards,
    SM

    Srini/Vikram,
    user credential is good. sm59 connection is good. there is data in selection as RSA3 fetches rows in ecc.
    when I run any info-package - I am getting yellow status? No data while rsa3 indicate data for Full update?
    why so?
    I am more of design person, not much into hands-on - so seeing these error for first time.
    Q1) if a package is already schedule - let us sat thru data source 2lis_11_vaitm. Now I want to go back and retrieve last month data already extracted... once again. I should be able to pull this data in new infopackage using Full update - data selection option.
    Q2) - rsa3 should fetch data based on set-up tables, so any infopackage based on Full update mode - should fetch data - independent of any other infopackage.
    q3) we need to do delete and fill-set-up table - only if extract structure is changed? right?

    The most commons cause of this is fire wall software which prevents HTTP connections,
    you mai need to change Fire wall settings to allow Adobe Muse to make connections??
    Fire Wall is not problem!!
    I asked this question a month ago, no one has answered.
    does anyone know how to solve this problem?
    I apologize for the bad English
    thanks in advance

    Mac or Windows? What software do you have installed that may be interfering with an application's ability to open an internet connection (i.e. virus checker, anti-malware utility, firewall, etc.).

    no firewall at all, in win 8.1, turned it off for all networks
    ftp and publish works just fine

  • DBlink and Tns could not resolve connect identifier specified

    We are encountering a strange issue with DB link(may be new to me)
    We have Oracle 9.2.0.8 and 10.2.0.3 in Solrais 10
    We are accesing both servers from the 10g
    We are able to connect to both the database through SQLplus
    We created a DBLink in oracle 9i to access 10g
    SQL:
    create public database link PRD connect to admin identified by ***** using 'PRD';
    Database link is created
    We have an entry in the TNSNAMES.ora for PRD which has a description connecting to 10g database.
    now we are issuin
    select * from table@PRD
    The error message is
    ora 12514-TNS could not resolve connect identifier sepcified
    But i am ablt to connect to both the databases from SQLPLUS but not by DBlink
    My global_names parmaeter is TRUE:
    Global_name=PRD without the domain name..

    Tried and failed......)
    Nicolas
    Does the DBlink takes the TNSentry in the host server
    even when we run from the clinet?
    I heard somewhere earlierDB link makes the database behave as a client.
    If you are on the other side of Jupiter and you connect to the database, should the database look in the TNSNAMES.ORA file on your computer to resolve the entry? Should it send a message back via SQLNet to your PC to ask it to look up what the DB Link means?
    Bottom line: The TNSNAMES.ORA in the ORACLE_HOME/networking/admin of the database install is used by all the client products running out of the ORACLE_HOME/bin - including the database when the database behaves as a client.

  • FTPOpen Data Connection: Could not establish connection

    I need to transfer data files from a local directory to a remote system via FTP.
    I can open an FTP connection, login and list existing files at the remote location. I even tried to rename files at the remote location, it works.
    Trying to sen files to the remote location using the FTPPutFile.vi causes an error "FTPOpen Data Connection: Could not establish connection".
    Any idea, what causes that error?
    Thank you in advance,
    Andreas Langer

    That's very peculiar that this should be happening, as it obviously sounds as though you have already established a connection. Have you tried running any example VIs? This is usually where I start to debug a problem. It shows me whether my code is wrong or something else (which is hopefully the issue).
    I found a good example for you on NI's website which makes a call to both "Get File" and "Put File". It ran successfully for me. You may want to see if it gives you the same errors.
    It's currently configured for an FTP server which I use, so you'll want to change its connection, but that's available through the front panel. Let me know how it works for you.

    You need to ask your network admin folk to check your PC and ensure that it is correctly configured for IP networking for your network - valid IP address, valid IP subnet mask, etc.
    You can look at your existing IP configuration in Windows by opening a command console and typing the command "+ipconfig+".
    Once that is done, you need to test connectivity between your PC and the database server. You need the IP address of the server for that and use the "+ping+" command to see if you get a ping echo response from the server.
    If you configure your Oracle client software (e.g. +%ORACLE_HOME%\network\admin\tnsnames.ora+ ) to use a hostname and not IP address, you need to make sure that your PC's IP stack can resolve that hostname into an IP address. Once again the "+ping+" command can be used, but this time using the hostname instead. The output will show the IP address the hostname resolved to.
    All these are basic networking issues - and have nothing really to do with Oracle itself. You first need to get the networking to work on your PC, before attempting to use Oracle client-server.

    Launcher means shortcut to execute any file which is inside folder in Linux.Launcher are created on desktop to execute by one click of mouse.You need to create a command file that contains the required instructions to run putty with whatever relevant command line switches in order to start the remote program/process on Linux.
    For example, you have a trusted ssh connection (no password prompting) between your Windows account and the Linux vmware account. You need to execute command line +/home/vmware/bin/vmstart myVM+ on Linux.
    Your command file in Window will look something as follows:
    @echo off
    "c:\program files\putty\pssh.exe" vmware@my-linux-server "/home/vmware/bin/vmstart myVM"Once you've create this command file (.cmd file extention), you can create a desktop shortcut for it and assign an icon to it.
    However, first test the command file via an interactive console session to ensure it works. Also, I'm not sure you can script telnet using putty - but putty's ssh does support the standard ssh command line and one can execute programs/commands on the remote server in this fashion.
    Setting up trusted ssh connections is also important as passwords is a weak security mechanism. It requires a secret to be used and coded into scripts/software that needs to be authenticated.
    With ssh you generate a public/private key combination, and provide the public key as unique identifier for your o/s user and platform to a remote server (e.g. Linux). This now enables your platform and o/s user to be authenticated via the privatre/public key pair when your platform establishes a connection with the server.
    In putty, generate a ssh key (RSA). Copy and paste the public key into the Linux server account's "+home/vmware/.ssh/authorized_keys+" file. Make sure that the +.ssh+ directory and key have user read/write permissions only. And that's it - no password needed by your account to ssh into the Linux server account. No secrets that need to be kept secret (and that can be stolen and used from any other platform to gain access).

    Hello Sue,
    I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
    I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
    It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

    Searching for this error turned up different solutions but none of them worked.
    One mentioned OVM not being able to handle spaces in vm names but this is not a working solution as most of the machines are just regular names without spaces or special characters.
    Also interesting, sometimes this error does not turn up when powering on BUT the machine just powers off again and returns to its turned off state. Next power on the error returns.
    OS types vary from S10, Win XP and RedHat so a possible connection to the error being the host OS is not there.
    Harddrive types are set to auto. The vm.cfg's of functioning machines do not differ from non functioning machines besides the actual vm name in the vm.cfg
    Any idea to this error or how to solve it ?

    Telnet server use TCP port 23 by default.
    Here is a screenshot of my lab server,
    To verify if the TCP port 23 has been opened, we can use the portqry tool.

    Hi Istvan! Sorry for the delay in our response! we are in the process
    of building a list of error codes for everyone! in the meantime the 110
    means the following:
    // Couldn't create a new network interface
    #define CC_STATUS_CCS_CANT_CREATE 110
    Is this an NSM integration installation?
    Also, remove the alternate hostname.
    If you don't mind, let's move this support issue to
    filereporter"@"novell.com!
    Thank you!
