Could not open because of low memory?

I'm working on a slide presentation i've done many times
before for a client I finished it per usual hit save and got the
spinning ball of death and it never went away. After 10 minutes i
force quit flash figuring a little grumpy because i figured i just
lost my recent changes, but now the file won't open at all.
Everytime I open it i get an error message "could not open one or
more senes probably because of low memory. To increase available
memory, close open documents" I'm running a g5 quad with 2 gigs of
ram and flash is the only program that is open. There is TONS of
free memory. I reset the computer same thing. Every once and awhile
very randomly it will give me the error and but will actually still
load the project. I then quickly resaved it i a different location
but a picture was missing from the file. When i went to replace the
missing picture flash crashed and I'm back to the same error. The
pictures I've been importing are psd' files but i've never had a
problem with them before. Any ideas?

Hi all,
Can you try the solutions in the following articles and let me know if you still need help? Also what's the version of Flash Professional that you are using? Also the OS that you are running the software on.

I'm trying to open a PDF from a site I frequent. When I attempt to download and open the file I get: "Could not open because it is either not supported file type or because it was damaged.

    Hi,
Can you please share the exact error message that you are receiving.
As "~graffiti" also mentioned, it would be useful if you could let us know which version of Adobe Reader you are using and any PDF link which may not be working for you.

  • Adobe Reader could not open -.because it is not a supported file type

I'm using Safari 6.1 and Adobe Reader 11.0.04. Since (I think) the last Safari update I have had "Adobe Reader blocked for this website" and "Adobe Reader could not open (file) because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged"
I have re-installed Adobe Flash player and the ".....blocked site...." problem appears to be resolved however I get the "...not a supported file type..." message when I try to open the download.
This appears to be a problem with Safari. If I use Google Chrome to download and then open the saved file everything works ok.
Has anyone got any ideas to try, please?

I had the same "Adobe Reader blocked for this website" problem which was becoming very annoying.
    Managed to resolve it by going;
Safari-Preferences-Security-Manage Website Settings-Select Adobe Reader from left Colomn-change bottom right "when visiting other websites" to "Allow".
Worked for me, hopefully will for others.

  • Safari could not open because the server is not responding - my Internet is fine

My iPad suddenly is giving me the message "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding".  My Internet is working fine on other devices and other applications (i.e. Mail) seem to be working fine on the iPad.  I've turned the iPad off and on.  Any thoughts?

Can you get onto any site in Safari, or can't you even open the app properly ? You could see if any of the following help.
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • IDVD could not open because hardware could not be found

I am trying to open iDVD on a PowerMacG4 running Tiger with an external Lacie d2 drive. Upon opening iDVD it is stating that it could not be opened because the required hardware could not be found. Does anybody know why this is happening?

    What is the plist
    a preference file for iDVD

You shouln't even need an external drive to run iDVD (just to burn) so I don't think a driver could be your issue.

My iPhone5 was locked at Telnor in Norway for 1 year. I send iphone to be repaired. Thei give me a new phone with other IMEI number without telling me. Ichanged to a new operator after 1 year. I asked the old operator to unlock my phone, but thei could not do that because i have a new iphone with new IMEI number. What must i do to get this fixed? Magne

Any replacement device is going to have a new IMEI. You need to contact whomever replaced your device (Apple or Authorized Apple Service Provider) and work through them and your carrier. You should have some paperwork from the replacement to show the carrier.

  • When I save documents from online I get the message could not open because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damage.  I am using Mac book pro can anyone help me.

I would save as PDF and when I go to open it is blank and I get the message above.

Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
    Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
    Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    and check the box marked
              Allow Plug-ins
    Then click
              Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
    Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
    Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
    Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.
