Solution Manager does not get service definitions from SAP in self diagnosi
Hi,
In our production solution manager transaction solution_manager, self diagnosis we are getting a warning message on our development solution manager.
Solution Manager XXX does not get service definitions from SAP.
The production Solution Manager is the master in SDCCN for the test Solution Manager. In the test Solution Manager, the scheduled task REFRESH SERVICE DEFINITIONS has task System ID of O01. It is pointed to RFC destination SDCC_OSS, not the production Solution Manager system.
It gives the same warning if I point the task to the production Solution Manager system.
Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas?
Best regards,
RussHi,
i guess have you activated SDCCN from your solution manager system too?
if not please activate. since that setup helps solman retrive the service definitions used in SDCCN from SAP (SAPOSS).so this ultimately allows you to set solution manager system as Master, so all the satellite system get the service definition from solman and do not need a direct SAPOSS connection.
and Please check this Note 1143775 - SAP service content update

please check.

What user did you use to start JSPM? Was it <sid>adm? Also based on the error it seems there is something wrong with DataModel.xml JSPM uses. And you've mentioned it was copied from another system if I get it right.
So as a quick workaround you could try removing:
- Jspm.DataModel.xml
- Jspm.J2EE.DataModel.xml
- Jspm.JSPM.DataModel.xml
from ../j2ee/JSPM/data/variables directory and give JSPM another try.
Please make sure the rest of the XMLs are in place otherwise JSPM won't start.

Could not find portal application com.sap.portal.umeregistration
Hi friends,
We have migrated the portal from EP6 SP2 to NW'04 SPS 18. KMC and the portal migration has been done successfully. Now i can login with my ID in the new portal. But after migration some of the iviews stopped working and I am getting the error
"Page could not create the iView."
on the screen. In the log file the root cause is
"Caused by: com.sapportals.portal.prt.core.broker.PortalApplicationNotFoundException: Could not find portal application com.sap.portal.umeregistration"
Do you have any idea?
Regards,
Nilesh PatilBhupesh,
In EP7.0, you can access the log files in a different way.
1) Directly accessing the log file on the server. location is <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\defaultTrace.<n>.trc
2) Accessing it through Visual Administrator. Go to the Server -> Services -> Logviewer
3) Accessing the log file through Netweaver Administrator from Portal. URL for Netweaver Administrator is http://<Portal Server>:50xxx/nwa -> Login with Portal user/pass -> Monitoring -> Logs and Traces -> select predefined view -> Default trace.
I hope this helps.

SAP Connector 2 - Could not load file or assembly 'SAP
Hi all,
I've recently installed SAP .NET Connector 2 and have been developing a basic C# web form to interrogate the customers table. I have created all my code and done a successdul build. However, when I try to run the web form I get the following error:
<i>Could not load file or assembly 'SAP.Connector, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=50436dca5c7f7d23' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.</i>
The SAP.Connector.dll and SAP.Connector.Rfc.dll files are on both my development machine and the server I am deploying the project on. Any ideas ?
Thanks.Fixed it myself. In the solution browser, expand the reference section and in the properties for the SAP.Connector and SAP.Connector.Rfc set the 'Copy Local' parameter from False to True. This fixes the issue.

User not able to print from SAP
Hi guys,
User is not able to print from SAP. The printer is directly connected to his PC. It is not a network printer. The user is able to print at OS level perfectly. IN SP01, it shows in green and the print job has been completed successfully. I can see the output request. Its all fine in SAP. I am not sure why it is not printing from SAP. Please help ?
Thankshi venkata,
did you already defined your printer on SAP Server using tcode SPAD ?
What kind of printing you're using ?
My suggest for simplest one is create new output devices.
Type tcode SPAD
Give simple name
Choose SAPWIN for device type (if you're using WIndows clients)
On Access Method tab
Choose Host Spool Access Method F : Front end Printing or G :
For Host Printer fill with __DEFAULT (remember double underscore)
save and test it.

Could I set-up CUA from sap 4.7 to sap NW04s
Hi Gurus,
Could I set-up CUA from sap 4.7 to sap NW04s?
I mean, CUA system in version 4.7 and one of the child systems NW04s.
Please let me know the possibility and any dependency?
Regards,
SuryaIn principle you can mix systems of different releases in one CUA landscape; and you can also freely choose any of them to be the CUA master.
However, you should keep in mind that new features and thus potentially also new user master data attributes will be added with newer releases. Therefore it is generally advised that the CUA master system should have a newer release. Otherwise the CUA master system would not be capable of storing and providing user master data attributes which might be demanded by some CUA client systems.

Could not load servlet information from web server
I am trying to register a servlet through the web object manager.
As soon as click the web object manager menu pick I get the following
error: Could not load servlet information from web server.
On other peoples machines here it works fine and they can register
servlets. What am I missing! You must be using Jdev 3.2.x, this is a known bug. In Jdev 9.0.2 we use the standard J2EE web.xml in order to register servlets. You should consider moving to the new IDE.

How to monitor all SAP Server through solution Manager?
Dear Friends,
How to monitor all SAP Server through solution Manager?
Is it possible if yes then how? Please forward configuration and transaction also.
Please help me as early as possible..
Thanks,
Regards,
SachinHi sachin,
You can monitor your sattilite systems through solution manager.
If you want to monitor systems in solution manager means you need to configure those systems in solution manager.
Before including the systems in solution manager we need to create a solution using tcode <b>DSWP</b>.
After that you can include the systems using tcode <b>SMSY</b>.
For configuring the systems we have lot of phases its very difficult to explain here.
Try to login to<b> service.sap.com</b> and <b>help.sap.com</b> find the helpfull guides.
i hope it will help you.
any issues post it.

CC 5.2 Alert Generation - Not extracting any data from SAP
Hi there,
We are trying to use the alert function for critical transactions in CC 5.2. We have set the relevant parameters in CC. The Alert_Log.txt is created successfully but it is not extracting any data from SAP. Is there any settings that I am missing here, both in R/3 and CC 5.2? I really appreciate your help. Below is the Alert_Log.txt for your review.

Complted Job =>41----Hi,
we have ran into similar issue of alert log being not displayed accurately in CC 4.0 version and we implemented the Note 1044393 - CC5.1 Alerts, it did work for us, as you are using CC5.2, I would recommend you to check the code and then try this note. But iam still skeptical whether this note will be helpful to you or not.
Thanks,

I'm Getting the "Could not connect to server: The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception" Error on an existing Instance of SSRS that had been working previously (lots of installs/patches since).
Any time I try to hit the "Test Connection" button on existing connections or create new ones from the SSRS Config Mgr., it throws that error.
I know the SQL Server connectivity works (I have SSMS installed on there and can cut and paste server Login to connect). The problem is I can't really get any more details on the error...Event Viewer isn't logging anything, I have upped the trace level
to 4 in the reportingservicesservice.config file, I have even watched it with procmon and nothing obvious pops up.
Let me know if anyone else has been down this path and what they have tried.Hi BillOlive,
Based on my research, the issue may be related to user access permission. You can refer to the following method to troubleshooting the issue:
Open C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG folder | right click on the machine.config file | Properties | Security | make sure your domain account has FULL CONTROL permission on this file.
If above steps still do not work, please backup your machine.config file to somewhere else and replace with the attached one from my Windows Server 2008 environment.
Alternatively, app.config file also may cause the same issue. There is a similar issue, you can refer to it.

Hope this helps.
