Could not sync calendar (iCal) sync server failed to sync iPad. Any advice?
Keep getting this error message:
"iTunes could not sync calendars (iCal) to the iPad because sync server failed to sync the iPad.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
I had this problem and finally fixed it after trying numerous ideas on the net.
Before doing the following steps I quit out of icloud on my iphone and my Macbook Pro
Step 1: Finder Menu Go /Go to folder/~/library
Step 2: Open Preferences folder
Step 3: Delete com.apple.syncserver.plist
Step 4: Reboot

Just keeps saying the activation server cannot be reached. Am I too impatient or is there something actually wrong?
Check to see if your antivirus or firewall is blocking access to gs.apple.com. You might also see this message if your phone was jailbroken or if your computer was used to jailbreak in the past.
If neither of these apply, just keep trying. There's a very heavy load on Apple's data centers right now. -

I get the message "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone "name" because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone" every time I sync the iPhone 3GS with iTunes by USB. Can anyone help? Please !!!!
I posted the following to "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone "xx" because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone. What does this mean??" at https://discussions.apple.com/message/15820680#15820680
I haven't seen it mentioned but the secret is to
Sync only selected calendars
Select "Remove Calendars" from the popup window
(This is ambigous: from where are the calendars removed? From the device being synced to)
Click apply.
Oops! My memory is already gone stale. I think I left no calendars selected, then clicked apply. Then I selected the calendars that I wanted, then clicked apply.
In any case, I had a blank calendar on my iPad and then I had all the updated events that I wanted on my iPad.
Thanks to all who provided some of the essential clues to resolving this problem. -

I am getting the following message: iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPad because the sync server failed to sync the iPad. Help!
Found the solution at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692.
In my case, resetting the sync history and disabling the add-ins fixed the problem. -
ITunes could not sync calendars to ---'s iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone
iTunes could not sync calendars to ---'s iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone. How can this be resolved? I can figure out if the sync server failed to sync then iTunes would not sync the calendars. Everything syncs on my iPad mini 3 wifi and my iphone syncs my contacts but not the calendars. So what gives?
Brenden,
thanks for the reply, but the troubleshooting tips seemed to concentrate on 'Lion"," Snow Leopard" and the like, I haven't a clue what any of that is. I am using Windows 7 Pro with Service Pack 1 on my desktop and my iPhone is using iOS 8.1.2, as is my iPad mini. As I said on my previous post, syncing on my iPad mini works fine, It is just the iPhone that fails to sync the calendars. Hopefully a solution can be found as it is difficult to keep things synced on my iPad and then have to add everything manually onto my iPhone.

This is the message I get when trying to sync.
"itunes could not sync calenders to the iphone because the sync server failed to sync with the iphone."
WHY NOT?I'm having exactly the same probs with iphone and ipad, synching to Outlook.
Both used to work fine, and now getting the same message, with conflicts in Contacts and Calendar - it's sending me round the bend.
Did you ever get an answer from anybody - don't seem to be able to find one, even though clearly we're not alone with the problem!?

I created a very simple Microsoft Access database with one table and one form. When I published it to SharePoint, everythng worked fine. It published succesfully and there were no errors. I continued to make enhancements to the database and when I attempted
to sync to SharePoint, I got a message that the operation failed. I clicked OK and the issues table noted the following:

I thought this was weird so I downloaded the Assets database from Microsoft to determine if it was my database or something else. After it was downloaded and saved to my computer, I attempted to publish it to SharePoint and I got the same error.
What is weird, though, is that if I use the assets web database template in SharePoint (the one that is preloaded), it works fine. Once I open that database it in Access though and click sync, I get the same error message.
Does anyone know why this is happening?I tried it again this morning creating a completely new table / form and this is the error I get:
