Could not upgrade to Lion OS X

I decided to install a new Leo OS.
I have 2 partitions on my iMac: Mac partition for ~800 GB and Windows partition for ~120 GB.
Today I downloaded a new version of Leo from Mac App store.
After restart for installation I got a problem with a lack of free space for the installation to proceed. Leo’s installator says that there is only 200 MB of free space.
But when I check the free capacity of Mac partition from Windows, it shows around 200 GB free.
Where information about free space is correct? Could it be a bug in installation software?
What should I do about this situation? How to undo the installation of Leo?

Be very careful with upgrading to Lion. Upgraded my MBP 15" early 2011, the day Lion came out, but have been plagued by reduced battery life (i can now get only 2-3 hours after the upgrade). Rosetta support is gone. I would wait until Apple is back in the true apple mode and not like Microsoft. Lion (current version) is not worth the upgrade.
I went to the Apple store to have them check my battery, but they could not find anything wrong and incidentally both the "Genius" support technicians i spoke to had not upgraded to Lion. There needs to be a reason behind it. I bought my MacBook Air 11" (new) a couple of weeks ago. Apple claims 7 hour battery life on them. I charged my MB Air with 100% charge when i booted the machine it showed that it had 5:08 hours left on the battery. Over the time it took me to type this message, the time left has gone down to 3:58 hours left. This on a machine that apple ships with Lion tells me that there is a HUGE battery/power management issue with Lion.
I moved to Mac simply because I needed and could get long battery life. That has been defeated by Lion.

Mail will no longer download on the MacBook Pro and keeps asking for my password.

Mail should still be usable with your machine - but you'll need to update the settings to conform to the requirements of your system. Check with your ISP (like ATT, etc.) for the settings that will work with your Mail. Once you've updated this, you should be able to email like before.
For example, my ISP required that I go to Mail Preferences/Accounts and make sure the details conform to your email settings.
I have no idea of what your ISP is or what the settings might be, but this is likely the source of the problem.

Hi Mary, the other so called "Features" of iClound will not work for like Syncing, but eMail will.
MobileMe & dot Mac will still work last I heard.

Don't delete your old account yet. Just setup a new one in Mail>Preferences>Accounts, little plus icon. Choose IMAP as account type, not ,mac or MobileMe.

There is nothing to overcome, your mac is too old to run Mountain Lion. For an iMac it must be a (Mid 2007 or newer) http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/

Could not upgrade online and select in-store pickup. I tried several times on my phone and on my computer. Just no option was on site to select for in-store pickup.
I finally used the chat now to get help. The person said they could help me with this. All this person did did was give me a toll free number to call. I could have just called the toll free number myself, without using the chat now. When I called the toll free number, the person then passed me along to someone else. The 3rd CS rep called a store to make sure they had the phones in stock that I was upgrading to. Did this CS rep set me up for in-store pickup? No,, again I was given another phone number and name of person to call and talk to. This was the sales clerk at the Verizon store that I use. The sales clerk could not and would not set up an appt. for today (Fri), due to IPhone6 release so have to wait til Sat.
Not one single CS even attempted to help get my online order placed and to use in-store pickup. I have used online help chat many times with other companies and they always got things set up for you. I hope the store clerk is more helpful than Verizon's customer service was (or lack of service).

I did that still could not find an upgrade for 4.3 and now my phone is telling me that I need 4.3 to install whats up, when It was previously on the same phone....help anyone?

You need to either reload a compatible version of it from an iTunes library which contains it, or sell the iPhone and put the money towards a newer device. An iPhone 3G can't be updated past 4.2.1.

when i tried upgrading to iTunes 6, i got the following errorr.
Error 1714: Older version could not be uninstalled.
Then i got another, Error 1603, saying itunes.msi was not found or something like that. what must be done? I use a iPod Shuffle.

hmmmm. let's first try completely uninstalling your itunes and QT using the instructions given here:
Troubleshooting iTunes, iPod Software, and QuickTime installation on Windows
if you run into trouble on the uninstall, try using the Windows Installer CleanUp utility:

... and even if you don't run into trouble on the uninstall, run CleanUp anyway to make sure you've removed any leftover QT/itunes installation registry entries.
then let's try another itunes reinstall. download and save a fresh copy of the installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than on-line.) switch off any antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

I got Toshiba L450D-13U last month, but could not find the same on toshiba website, and hence could download any software or upgrade it.
when i used self detection software on toshiba support website it says, sorry we can not find this system.

Try looking on the European Support Site where it's sold and supported instead of here on the USA support site where it isn't.

Hardware will not upgrade to Lion - Will I lose MacMail?

I have an Intel Core Duo MacBook (circa 2006) using OS 10.4.11 Tiger. I cannot, apparently, upgrade to Lion because of my 'old' hardware. Frankly, I don't care about the Cloud, but I depend on MacMail. Are there any viable alternatives for those of us who use and love our older machines or are we out of luck? If upgrades are available, how steep is the price?

I have no access to anything running Lion or iOS 5. And, when I clicked on the link, it just opened my me.com online email window. So that didn't work, either (and my mac.com email is happily pinging at every update on this forum so it's still working).
The nearest Apple Store is more than one hundred miles away - I live in rural Iowa, and it's 2+ hours to Des Moines.
I will add an IMAP email to my email roster and see if it brings anything in.
Sorry to be a pain, but this is incredibly aggravating. At least, if all this fails, I have 6 months to get my contacts to use a gmail address to email me instead.

I could be able to upgrade solaris 9 to solaris 10 with live updae,
Its asking me to uninstall Solaris 9 LU and install solaris 10 LU in order to proceed.
Am i missing some thing. Please help.

Did you switch the TV's input to the HDMI port you are using with the computer? Did you open Displays preferences to see if a second screen is displayed and then check the box to mirror to the TV screen? Did you search Google for any help links on how to do what you are trying to do?

Try this - Disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update.

Macbook pro will not upgrade to lion

I am trying to uprade my MacBook Pro to Lion. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and am running it on 3 other computers in our home. I am struggling to get this computer to load lion. When I go to the App store, and click on install I get the grey circle that just keeps going like it is trying to load, but no progress is ever made.

Iif the above doesn't work, force iPad into Recovery Mode.
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
