Just these entries are necessary to which system (better: instances) you want to connect. For example:
You need to connect (via SAPGUI, RFC, etc.) to systems (better: instances) with number 01, 16 and 20 you just need the entries:
    sapdp01
    sapdp16
    sapdp20
    sapgw01
    sapgw16
    sapgw20
If you need load balancing, etc. it's also necessary to have the entries for the related message servers sapms<SID>, e.g.
    sapmsT11

  • Is there a similar file to windows\ssytem32\drivers\etc\hosts in OS X

    Hi,
I am running a Windows 2003 Server with several websites. I would like to view my websites from my new Imac, however I keep getting prompted for the user name and password for the router.
In windows on my old computer I could edit the file C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts with the IP address and URL of the site and it would open. Is there a similar file in the Mac OS X 10.5.7 software.
    Many Thanks in anticipation

    {quote:title=Herr Lazaro wrote: > So if /etc/hosts works reliably I'll probably switch to it}{quote}
Adding host records by editing the /etc/hosts file is not entirely reliably. Since Leopard, some people have reported issues of the added host records "mysteriously" disappearing, or Apache not being able to properly resolve the added hosts. The bigger issue is that the modifications in the /etc/hosts file can create unwanted side effects in the normal functioning of services like the mail server and others.
Since Leopard, there has been an alternate way to add host records using the dscl utility. In fact, by many, it is considered the better, more reliable, and safer method.
You can read this recent article to see how its done:
    http://tomafro.net/2009/07/dscl-the-easy-way-to-add-hosts-on-osx
There are a number of additional articles on the web about using dscl for adding host records to OS X.
The choice, of course, is yours. If you are using the /etc/hosts file without issue, then it might be safe to continue doing so. But, if your system starts experiencing domain name resolution issues or problems with services such as the mail server, you should consider switching to and using the dslocal database to manage your host records.

  • Adobe reader 10.1.2 could not open the file '/C/WINDOWS'

since adobe reader 10.1.2 urls don't work in pdf files to folders.

    C:\WINDOWS
not ok > adobe reader 10.1.2 could not open the file '/C/WINDOWS'
    C:\WINDOWS

no problems with 9.5.0 or 10.1.1 with activated protected mode
is that known? any other workaround?
    thanks

    Hi,
I also have Reader 10.1.2 installed on my machine and I also cannot open a link in the PDF, that will eventually call an exe file. I don't think that there would be different behaviour on your machine. So, I think, now this is the expected behaviour Reader 10.1.2 onwards.

  • Could not write to file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\ActiveX\AcroPDF.NOR. ?

Hi, I get this message (loosely translated from Swedish):
"Could not write to file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\ActiveX\AcroPDF.NOR.
Confirm that you have access to this file"
when I try to install Acrobat standard 7.0, and after several "retry" I cannot finish the installation.
    Does anyone know why?
    Thank you,
    MIa

Appears that you are on a Win7, 64-bit machine. AA 7 has an issue with activation since the server no longer exists for AA 7. There is a separate install at Adobe to address this issue that might solve the problem temporarily (Error: Activation Server Unavailable | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3). Even if you get AA 7 installed on Win7, you will have to do workarounds to make it work. Both the print driver (Adobe PDF) and AcroTray.exe fail on Win7 and they require workarounds to be able to even use AA 7. It is strongly recommended that you get AA XI at this point.

  • LabVIEW could not write the file back to disk (-2570)

    Hello,
i use this MDF data storage plugin to write MDF files: mdf plugin
    I created a project with some VI's like MDFOpen.vi, MDFClose.vi, MDFWriteDouble.vi, etc ...
I also created a Test VI which generates data at a specific rate (want to see performance) and write it to a MDF file. It works ....
Now I want to use this in C#. I compiled a LabView .Net DLL out of my MDF VI's and referenced it in Visual Studio. I can open a MDF File from C# and close it. But as soon as I write a double (actual content) into the MDF File I get an exception when I call MDFClose.vi from DLL. Obviously "Close Data Storage <APPEND>" from inside my MDFClose.vi returns error -2570: LabVIEW could not write the file back to disk. I have no idea why.
    regards
    Thomas

So I guess it's time to update this post for anyone who also have problems with MDF or Storage/DataPlugin VIs in general.
My task was to create a MDF Logger, so I needed to write MDF files. MDF4Lib from Vector mentioned in an above post can only read MDF files. ETAS is also selling an MDF Lib but there are reasons I don't want that. So why not use MDF Storage/DataPlugin from NI? I can tell you.
My MDF Logger is now finished and can create MDF files with groups and channels, just like TDMS, but ... when I write data in a loop and then finish by closing the MDF File/Reference it may happen that:
i get error LabVIEW could not write the file back to disk (-2570)
    application crashes
    both 1 and 2
If it does not crash or throw an error it succeeds finishing my MDF file correctly but next time I repeat this (without restarting application) I notice writing data takes longer than in first run and my memory is increasing. The more I repeat the longer it takes to write data to MDF and the more memory is increasing until it finally crashes. It also depends on how much data in how many groups/channels are written.
NI Support already got this and confirmed that with desktop execution tracekit you will see that with each call to a Storage/DataPlugin VI references are leaking. Those leaks are assumed to be the root cause of all that trouble. There is not bugfix but apparently one or more CAR's about this. So I guess this is not MDF specific but generally with Storage/DataPlugin.
My current only workaround is to close the app each time after I am done writing one MDF file. My future fix will be to implement MDF on my own.

"You have to change your router's IP address to be able to access it. It will not give you the internet."
I'm not sure what that means Richard, but I did change the router's IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.5.1- isn't that what you meant in your first post. I know that isn't reflected in my screen capture that I took last night, but I did do that this morning after I read your post.
"Log on to your router and change two settings.
Change the setting in Setup from PPPoE to Automatic Configuration-DHCP and click on save.
Click on Advance Routing and change the setting from Gateway to Router then click on save."
I did this and still same results as far as I can tell. Can't get online through the router.
"Click on MAC address clone under setup tab ... click enable & click clone ...click save settings ... Check the IPaddress under WAN page ....
If getting IP in public range .... try going online ...."
I tried this- at least to the part about checking the IP address under WAN. I assume you mean the WAN page in the modem setup- nothing looked any different after trying what you suggested, and I'm not really sure where I would be "getting IP in public range" or what that means.
I'm about to give up and just buy a new router to see if I can get the same lack of results with a different one. My ISP maintains that everything is set up correctly on their end and really can't do anything more for me. The Modem works and is set up correctly and they can give tech support for a router.
Here's what my basic setup looks like now:

Here's what the advanced tab looks like now:

    Modem setup looks the same

  • Error window "could not write the file. There is not enough scratch memory available

When I try to use the "save for web" I get this error window. I have deleted several files and have over 700 GB of memory available on my local C drive. I have had PS CC for over a year and have never seen this before. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi AndreaJ,
If it cannot create a temp file, which indeed is tied to the limitations for 32bit apps and in Save for Web cannot exceed 2GB,
That's what it's telling you, and this has absolutely nothing to do with your system swap file.
A possible solution may be to manually flatten the file before exporting or it might also help to clean up the Drive you are using as Scratch disk.
    In Addition to this:

  • "Could not write to configuration file" when config Publisher in admin tab

    Hi guys,
I have install OBIEE 10.3.3.4 on an RH linux box (with OS user obiee) and Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1 on the same box (with OS user oraias).
When I want to change some parameter in the admin tab of BI publisher (Administrator/Administrator as the login name/pass) and click "Apply",
I get the error "Could not write to configuration file". After I change the configuration properties to 777 the error is sitll there. And I also try to change the SECURITY MODEL to XDO, but still no use.
I made a test, for example, when I change something in admin--JDBC--Oracle BIEE and then apply, I got the error. If I update xmlp/DataSource/datasources.xml manually, the change can be seen after I reopen the page admin--JDBC--Oracle BIEE. That means I find the correct file and the file access properties is ok.
For other parameters such as Scheduler Configuration, I got the same error when apply. But the "Test connection" and "Install schema" work.
Can somebody give me some advise on this ? Thanks
    Scott

  • Could not write value vmware-tray.exe to key MSI error on Windows 8.1

    Hello All,
I posted the following question to Microsoft guys,  but the fellow at Microsoft support was 1000% sure that this issue is related to VMWare only. I am hoping to  get some assistance at least here.
    My question as below:-
    Hello All,
NOTE: I have gone through many forums already and have followed all the steps recommended by different experts there. NO AVAIL! Hence, I am posting this here.
I have been trying to install VMWare Workstation 11 on my Windows 8.1 and I keep getting the MSI Error which says, "could not write value vmware-tray.exe to key \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows'CurrentVersion\Run.  Verify
that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel"
This is really very frustrating now. And I am beginning to hate Windows 8.1 :-(
I have disabled Anit-Virus, Windows Defender, Firewall ...everything possible. Tried to run the program as "Administrator",  changed the permissions of all the HKEY related stuff under 'regedit"  to "Full Control"....
I did everything that was asked. Nothing happens. I keep getting the same error.
    Please Please help!!!!

You posted this in the Windows 8.1 Hyper-V group.
So I will ask, is Hyper-V involved?  Do you have the Hyper-V role installed?
And again I ask, have you posted in the VMware forums? I ask because if this is a known issue, they would be the people that would know the reason and resolution (since it is their software package - regardless of the reason)
And, have you tried manually adding a registry setting to the registry path (without elevating your privileges)?

  • RSEOUT00 failing with "Could not write IDoc to file" TPRI_DEF table

Outbound Idoc processing fail with the following error:
Could not write IDoc to file
    Message no. EA299
    Diagnosis
The system could not convert data from the data record 000027.
    Procedure
Check the port definition of the receiver port.
You can use the "Continue despite conversion error" option to write the IDoc to the file from transaction BD87 with replacement characters.
Short dump indicate that there is a some junk character in th e TPRI_DEF for program SAPLSPRI that it is unable to convert.
I have set the flag on the we21 port to "continue despite conversion error" and that seem to help, but I would like to figure out how to fix the junk characters from coming through from the TPRI_DEF table.
This is what shows up in the short dump after RSEOUT00 is run.
    TPRI_DEF                                   /  /       :  :     00002932
        010GV21            \0\0\0\0\x0006āȂ耀㐱〲\0\0嬇\0ሟ鴂푎眩\x0802儔잏퉓
I do not see any entries for area "GV" in the table, there is one for "GF".  which has no user assigned to it and it is of key version 21.
I am not sure if the table is supposed to have an entry with no user assigned?
thank you for looking at this issue .

    HI Jurgen,
we have the same issue, chinese charecter is in PO text header. so facing error. If we click unicode format then it works fine as my testing in development.
I just want to knom what is the impact if i clicked directly unicode format ?( with refernce to your reply above " have you set the Unicode format flag directly above in WE21?" )
I doc is going from SAP sytem - (PO information )
    Pls adivce..
