  • Could someone convert this .swf to .gif for me?

    I've made this .swf banner and I need it converted to .gif. I've tried many free programs but they all leave ugly watermarks. I don't want to buy a program that I'm going to only use once.
    Would someone be kind enough to convert this into .gif for me? If possible keep the filesize under 350KB.
    Thanks so much!

    Hello master_w,
    You can use "sprite sheet" feature of Flash CC 2014 for export your banner like sprite frames.
    Then you can open this png file in photoshop, cute parts and make a gif using the "timeline".

  • Could someone confirm this behavior for me

    OK not sure if I've found a bug or if I just need to get some sleep but could someone try the following and report back:
    *Note nothing here should harm your library but if you're squeamish you might want to do this on a test library*
    1. Go into Browser view, select one of the library smart albums, doesn't matter which one.
    2. Click the magnifying icon to open the smart settings window.
    3. Leaving the smart settings window open, select the Photos icon. All your images should be displayed. The top of the smart settings window should read *Smart Settings: Photos*
    4. Which ever check box is selected (most likely its the ratings checkbox) deselect it. The browser window should go blank. Click the x to close the smart settings window.
    5. Now, try to get images back. The search box and filter window attached to the viewer will not bring back the images. Select Projects or anything else and images are displayed just none in the Photos window.
    6. To restore the viewer, select one of the library smart albums, click its smart settings open icon, with the smarts settings window open select the Photos icon. Select the Rating check box, set the ratting to *is greater than of equal to* and set the value to x. All your photos will reappear.
    7. Close the *Smart Settings* window, everything is back to normal.
    The bug here is that the Photos 'album' shouldn't be able to have a *Smart Settings* filter attached to it. The window that opens if you click the search icon at the top of the browser window is a filter. Of course *Smart Settings* windows should only attach to smart albums. Photos isn't a smart album. It's not even an Album (except internally to Aperture).
    If you try this please report back, thanks.

    Thanks Kirby,
    Yeah I managed to do this to myself last night, which is how I ran across it. It was a real pain, I knew my images weren't gone but for a brief second .....
    Anyway I wonder how many reports of libraries disappearing are a result of this? Did you do a report to Apple when you ran across this? I'll send one in today.
    regards

    well, that's a matter of choosing the right font, there are plenty of free font sites out there, try this http://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ maybe it can tell you what font was used. You might want to head over to the Typography forum and see if they can help you find a similar font. Another option would be (and i'm sure that i'll get blasted for this one:P) to use a normal looking font and then use the Character panel to increase the font's Vertical Scale

  • Could someone interpret this eMac panic.log please?

    I have had some interesting adventures with this eMac (1GHz, 40GB, 512MB, Combo) last few days. I will list those adventures if it helps someone to help my dilemma. I haven't a clue what any of this means. Is the eMac repairable? What can I do on my own? I was only able to get to this log from Safe Boot Mode.

    Hello,
    We had (still do) two eMac's a 1.25GHZ USB 2.0 1GB ram and a 1.0GHZ 1GB ram, never had kernal
    panics on either
    then, (One was in use the faster one with a airport extreme card) the 1.0GHz stored (also with a airport
    extreme card) We bought a Airport Extreme dual band 802.11n router and got every one set up
    (using a
    MacBook pro running Snow Leopard, specs said Macs running OSX 10.3.9 Panther could run
    wirelessly
    from the Airport Extreme (but not set it up) and then I went to the eMac 1.25GHz and turned it on
    and kernal panic, yikes, ran applejack, techtoo from Applecare (though a 2004 version) and Apple
    Hardware  test and Disk Warrior , everything is fine, then thought, bring out the other emac (running
    Panther) started it up bang Kernal Panic, then, unplugged both for awhile, plugged then back in did
    zap PRAM, then restarted one in safe mode and it worked like a computer, no kernal panic (*But we
    turned off the airport card) restarted and turned airport card back on and kernal panic, did this with
    both, turning on/off airport card on two computers and airport extreme card on-kernal panic, card off
    worked like a mac (but no online) so, hooked up via Ethernet, reset settings on emac on 1 and was
    fine, no kernal panic, ran like a mac and got online, switched the ethernet over to the other eMac
    and same thing, after settings changed, mac ran, got online no kernal panic
    Then swicthed both back to airport extreme card settings-Kernal Panic Right Away, ended up using
    ethernet cable on one, put the emac 1.0 Ghz back in basement (and later the 1.25Ghz ) and bought
    a imac in 2010 3.06Ghz 4GB Ram, spoke with tech support (as Airport Extreme was quite new and
    Staff said that the new (then early 2010 I think) the Airport Extreme dual band 802.11N due to play
    well with 802.11B Airport Extreme cards, I discussed the specs and what was required to set up the
    Airport Utility and Airport Extreme (Leopard >above, and to use Panther 10.3.x and above (guess not
    true or We had one very unusual coincidence
    ? did You by chance get a new Router or cable modem? If possible try the ethernet route if possible
    (adjust settings in System Preferences, ? move eMac closer if You have a short pice of cable
    I realize eMac's weigh 55pounds or so,
    Just thought I would share this, The XLAB is a great site, but this trouble shooting found out ours
    * and a imac (older) could not accept the high level of security, so it (was a Airport Card 1st version)
    swicthed to ethernet and a lower security type )its on the desk with the cable modem and airport
    extreme and rarely used or on anymore ( alaptop is used instead)
    Bizarre or what? later used Google and typed in Apple Airport Extreme 802.11N dual band and
    problems and wow pages and pages (a lot like what I am writing)
    Best of luck

  • I can't access my old behance account, can someone sort this out for me please?

    Hi I can't access my old behance account and every time I tried to log in it took me straight to Adobe creative cloud.

    Hello there,
    I'm having the problem trying to login to my old Behance account. I recalled that I didn't change my email address yet I'm unable to login with the existing email address that was used with Behance account. I tried to use Adobe ID forgot password but got nothing. I also can't visit Behance Help which is down right now.

  • Could someone answer this please.

    Could someone answer this please. I uploaded all my photo's to the cloud from my mac. I then checked on my iPhone and iPad and i could see all 8000 photo's so I deleted them from the mac pro and then set up my mac book air. now I can only see 500 of the 8000 photo's?

    The following is from this Apple document: iCloud: My Photo Stream FAQ
    Does using My Photo Stream substitute for using iCloud Backup or iTunes to back up the photos in my Camera Roll?
    No. Photos in My Photo Stream are saved on the iCloud server for 30 days. To save or back up these photos, you must copy them from My Photo Stream to your Camera Roll on your iOS device. You can then back up your Camera Roll using iCloud or iTunes.
    You should also review this Apple document: My Photo Stream and iCloud Photo Sharing limits
    Bottom line:  iCloud is not a substitute for a local backup of your files including your iPhoto library.  Time Machine and an external HD is the easiest backup strategy to implement.

  • Adobe connect could not process this document for viewing

    I am using Connect 9 and trying to add a PDF to a share pod. These PDF's are sized at 11x17 and were converted from dwg  files. They are 2-4 megs in size. When I add them to a share pod I get the following error:
    "adobe connect could not process this document for viewing. Please try uploading the file again."
    Things I have already tried:
    Optimizing the PDF
    Printing the dwg file to a pdf
    Adding the pdf to my content library and then adding it to the share pod
    Reducing the page size
    Adding other PDF's to the meeting or pods work fine including larger sized files. My meeting is in 2 days and I can go with a screen share if I have too, but am working witha coulpe of novice presenters and want to make the process as easy for them as posible.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • When running labview's test executive I recieve runtime error: Call to step "PRE-RUN" failed. Could someone explain this error?

    I have a set of vi's that work when run under labview. However, when calling these vi's from labview's test executive I recieve runtime error: Call to step "PRE-RUN" failed. in Assign Connector Pane.vi->Call Test.vi->Execute Pre-Run.vi->Test Executive. Could someone explain this error to me? (or ideally tell me how to fix it?) Thanks.

    Hello,
    There are any number of possible causes to this problem. Which version of Test Executive are you using? Have you upgraded your Test Executive recently? The latest version is 5.1.1. If you have changed anything about Test Executive on your computer recently, I recommend you perform a mass compile of all your VI libraries, as having different versions of the VIs on your system could often result in the "Call to Step XYZ Failed" errors. Also, are you using any DAQ or Analysis VIs in your steps? We have seen problems where the use of DAQ or Analysis VIs in the sequence can cause intermittent "Call to Step...Failed" errors. There are some KnowledgeBase entries on our website that discuss this problem. Are you using the Test Executive in the VI environment, or
    as an executable? Again, there are some problems with using Test Executive as an executable that result in these errors, and there are also KnowledgeBase entries that discuss these problems.
    If you have a pared-down application that demonstrates the problem, feel free to send me your VIs and your .seq file and I will try to reproduce the problem.
    Alternatively, I would suggest you visit www.ni.com/teststand to learn about TestStand, our state-of-the-art Test Sequencing software that completely outperforms Test Executive. It is very easy to use and much more powerful, and we have a top-notch support team available dedicated exclusively to supporting TestStand. As you are probably aware, we are no longer developing Test Executive, and instead are concentrating our efforts on making TestStand the penultimate solution for all our customers' test sequencing needs.
    I appreciate your patience on this issue. Please let me know if I can offer further assistance.
    Have a pleasant weeken

  • Could someone verify this please: weird sound problems

    Could someone please verify the following. Plug in your headphone into the headphone (minijack) port on the left. Restart your computer.
    Can you hear the startup sound through the built-in speakers, or not? I don't think you should, but I do. I tried everything (PRAM, PMU reset)... nothing solves it.
    I also hear a quiet clicking sound through the headphones when any sound comes on. It then goes away sometimes, but it comes back with a restart.
    Thanks!

    Hello,
    Could someone please verify the following. Plug in
    your headphone into the headphone (minijack) port on
    the left. Restart your computer.
    I keep speakers plugged into my Mac Mini to get better sound.
    Can you hear the startup sound through the built-in
    speakers, or not? I don't think you should, but I do.
    Yes, this is perfectly normal. This is how the Mac's are designed. They will always play their startup chime through the built-in speaker.
    The external speakers will not do anything until after the machine has booted up completely.
    I tried everything (PRAM, PMU reset)... nothing
    solves it.
    There's nothing to fix. It is working just as it should.
    I also hear a quiet clicking sound through the
    headphones when any sound comes on. It then goes away
    sometimes, but it comes back with a restart.
    This can just be line noise.
    If you are talking about head-phones, then it's possible you are hearing noise from a loose connection. Try wiggling the connector and see if you hear the noise. If so, then it could be that you are inadvertently moving this connection when you move your head around.
    Likewise, see if the noise appears when you move the wire around a little bit. If so, there might be a short in the wire.
    If you are working with external speakers, then it could be that the speakers are amplifying some line noise that they are picking up. This can be noise that is generated on the circuits inside the computer.
    There's any number of things that can cause clicking sounds like this. I would try other speakers, and maybe even a higher-quality audio cable and see what happens.
    Hope this helps.

  • Could anyone check this code for errors for me??

    Hi! Could someone please tell me if you see any problems with this code?? a friend wants me to check it for errors, but can't find any. I just wanted to make sure, because there are probably a lot of better scripters than me reading this. Please answer soon!!
    heres the code:
    stop();
    addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, preLoad);
    function  preLoad(e:Event):void{
    var bytestoLoad):Number = loaderInfo.bytesTotal;
    var numberLoaded:Number = loaderInfo.bytesLoaded;
    if (bytestoLoad ==  numberLoaded) {
    removeEventListener)Event.ENTER_FRAME, preLoad)
    gotoAndStop(2);
    }else {
    preLoader.preLoaderFill.scaleX =  numberLoaded/bytestoLoad;
    preLoader.bytePercent.text = Math.floor  (numberLoaded/bytestoLoad*100) + "%";
    Thanks!!
    -Sammy

    I ran it on debug mode and changed it to this? see any problems now? or are they fixed? It looks to me like it took some actions out, I hope that doesn't
    effect it....
    stop();
    addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, preLoad);
    function preLoad(e:Event):void{
    var bytestoLoad):Number = loaderInfo.bytesTotal;
    var numberLoaded:Number = loaderInfo.bytesLoaded;
    if (bytestoLoad == numberLoaded) {
    removeEventListener)Event.ENTER_FRAME, preLoad)
    gotoAndStop(2);
    i'm kinda new to flash ((I started as a lua scripter (on Roblox)) so I'm a little confused about this. Thanks for the help!!

  • Could someone explain this java practice to me

    Hi
    I have been reading the latest JDC tech tip newsletter and i came across the following line:
    Set sethash = new Hashset();
    I'm assuming an object of class Set implements the Hashset interface but why not use
    Set sethash = new Set();
    Instead? What are the advantages (if any ) are there in creating a reference to an object in this way? I've seen this quite often but could never understand why its done.
    I've always wondered about this.
    Thanks
    Kola

    1. well first of all a forum is one way of finding out
    something maybe not the best but its a way,
    No, sometimes a forum is not "a way" at all. For instance this forum is not the place to ask a question like....
    I have 100 million dollars and I need to set up a competitive service to completely replace ebay - so what do I do?
    Some questions are entirely too broad. Some questions are just impossible. Some questions display a severe lack of knowledge of some infrastruture which can only be address in java once that other knowledge is acquired.
    So not all questions are appropriate.
    2. its not as if i'm asking somone to do some
    homework, i'm asking more experienced developers than
    me why they do certain things a certain way. If i
    asked what is an interface then i could understand...
    Yes but your question is phrased rather poorly and so it is open to interpretation. The following are all interpretations that I saw:
    -You don't know what an interface is.
    -You simply didn't look at the definitions for the items that you specified in your example.
    -You don't know why one uses an interface in the first place.
    I suspect that reply 2 correctly guessed what your question was. However I consider that a luck guess. And notice that I do not list it in my guesses. Keep in mind that the only reason I believe this to be true is because I have seen the same question before (and I read a lot of questions.) Without my experience that is probably harder to see.
    3. if you read my post you would of seen that i said
    i've often seen something done a certain way and
    wondered why is that being Lazy? The operative word
    being "often"
    Lazy in the other posts probably refers to the preception that your question stems from the second guess that I made above. They felt that you could have looked it up.
    4. i could read as many books as i want..gang of 4,
    code complete, just java, dietel & dietel,thinking in
    java etc somethings you only learn through experience
    so i'm lazy because i have less experience than
    others?
    Same point as 3.
    5. finally if you do not have a construtive response
    to this message please do not bother with a reply i
    have no time for flame wars and i'm embarrassed to
    have to post this around other mature and talented
    programmers such as the ones that returned helpful
    answers to my posts!
    I can't speak for the others but I respond to about 10 posts a day. I read at least 30 a day. I do that six days a week. For me, it just sometimes gets tiring to see a question that the poster could have found the answer for by just looking at the java docs or by doing a simple search. Most of the time I just answer the question. Sometimes I point out that they could have found the answer themselves.
    Others can sometime be less tolerant of this.
    And still others just like to cause havoc. At least one of the responders to your post is of this type.
    Sometimes even free advice has a cost.
