I found the Birthday function in OS 4 on my iPhone but I don't understand where I have to enter info for this. I cannot find a label in iCal or the address book, how exactly is this used?

It comes from AddressBook.
To add it via your Mac: Open Address Book, select an entry, click the edit button, then in the AddressBook menu (across the top of the screen), select "Card" -> "Add Field" -> "Birthday". Fill in the details & save. (note: on the Mac's iCal application preferences there is a checkbox to indicate whether you want the "Birthdays" calendar displayed.
To add it via your iPhone: Open "Contacts" (or view Contacts from the Phone application). Select an entry and tap "Edit". Scroll all the way to the bottom and click the "+" button next to "add field". Select "Birthday" then fill in the details & save the entry.

I think it's pretty basic.
If you are listening to music on your phone, it should automatically mute it when a call comes in. A basic press of the call answer / end button should then do just that.
Have a go! You could try experimenting with a quick double press, that may recall the last number you dialled, but otherwise that's probably it.

Could someone explain why mds is using so much CPU?

Could someone explain what mds is doing if my Mac has been indexed (don't see activity in Spotlight menu bar icon) & I haven't recently added a lot of files?
I noticed my Mac was slowing down for a while so I looked in Activity Monitor & it says mds is running at 60% CPU. Isn't this something to do with Spotlight indexing?

If you recently upgraded the OS or installed an application that includes a metadata parser for spotlight (such software generally comes in the form of a package instead of a single icon), it will force spotlight to reindex. Also, restoring from a backup does the same thing.
Also, if you used mdutil to disable spotlight indexing on the volume and then reenable it, it will force a reindexing.

The "-R" option is there to allow to manipulate zones in an alternate Boot Environment (BE). The parameter that you should use is the mount point of the alternate BE.
Mount the alternate BE in a separate directory with beadm command and then you can use the zoneadm command with this option.

is it possible to use the scanner function on a Kyocera 1320MFP with Mac OS X 10.6, or with Mac OS X 10.8 ? Kyocera doesn't specify this combination in their support pages. Statements are welcome!

This is a solution I found somewhere googling deep and took a note to myself. The IP are used for my network you should change them with yours. Sorry I did not save the source, but this worked for me:

Which is the reason for the alpha option? I ask because none of the shoot for any camera has alpha. The only images with alpha are CGI generated, as far as I am aware. Then, the alpha option is only for grade CGI images?

Yes, it's possible, but it hasn't sense: the keyed objects are composed in a compositor as After or Nuke, and once already well integrated with the background, the resulting images are ready for grading.

right so I have done what you all said and gone and read a book on LabView fundamentals, "introduction to data aquisition with LABVIEW by RH king"
it has answered my questions about the for loop and most of the rest, the thing I am now having trouble with is the pink lines coming from the DAQ assistant, I have tried all the options, generate signal, aquire, sine wave, digital, continuous samples, N samples but I can't get a pink line, all I can get in that location is a gray "error out", is this all it is, just connect error out to error in.
Also another thing that is confusing me is, just before the graph, that component between the last division and the graph indicator, I am having trouble identifying.
Sorry to keep badgering on about this one but I need to get this example completed for work.

If the unsubscribe header the add-on uses is present it shows up in the mail header along with the from Subject to etc. With or Without the add-on. So if there is no entry in the header, then the mail sender does not support that style of unsubscribing. In the United States unsubscribing from a mailing list is troublesome as legislators are either are unable or unwilling to understand the problem. Given the amounts of money involved I will go with the latter.

Could someone explain this method of using forms

this method used in a page of the web site I currently tinker on has a peculiar look to the way one of the forms was put in place. That form below and its code aswell should make the form visible on the page is desing view, but its isn't showing one, though on the server and web browser it does show that the form exist and working just fine, what Im trying to get at is that all the other forms are visible in desing view except this one, and I need to edit some of the text on it cause the letters are too far from the forms on the right. so where might this form be located? any help is greately appreciated cause I'm trying to get to know the whole site in case of a technical/design issue if one arises.
