Could Tangosol integrate w/ DataSynapse with Tangosol higher in the stack ?

Here is a scenario. I would like DataSynapse to run multiple Informatica ETL, one per App Server. I need Tangosol to be integrated with a decision point, which evaluates Informatica ETL to pass control to.
     This requires Tangosol (with its cache to support Data Services) be higher in a stack than DataSynapse, which control balancing/failover/resource optimization of Informatica ETL application processes.
     Is that possible ?
     I understand that the way Tangosol is integrated with DataSynapse is by DataSynapse supporting applications and Tangosol supporting Data Services within those applications. In my scenario I need support from Tangosol of Data Services within a Master Application and within Informatica ETL Processes.
     Usually those things are done through Master and Secondary threads, but I am not sure integration of DataSynapse with Informatica is accomplished on a thread level. I rather believe it's happening on a process level.

No; but then, I've not had occasion to use TDM. I've been using firerwire drives for over 10 years, both FW400 and FW800, with no issues except a bit of instability using a B&W G3 machine.
TDM should be safe. Using cautious, manual copying of files from the Target machine to the Host machine should not result in unexpected loss of files or damage to the Target drive's directories. It should behave exactly the same as if it were an external (to the Host) firewire drive.

Is it possible to integrate LSO 600 with an external system without SAP PI?

as asked in the title, i am wondering if it is possible to integrate LSO 600 with an external (non-SAP) system without using SAP PI/XI. The external system is a middleware application which can handle RFC functions, IDocs besides the usual web service communications.
However, i don't know how LSO and SAP PI are integrated so i wonder if their interfaces are such that instead of SAP PI another middleware could be used.

Web Services are used. If you were to implement the services in your 3rd party middleware and configure SAP to call it, I suppose it is possible. The external course catalog can be used for CourseEnrollment and LearningProgress. See the application help for details. Don't expect to receive support from SAP with such a setup however.

Xntpd on Solaris 10 gets synchronised with a higher stratum NTP server

The Solaris 10 machine has the following configuration in etc/inet/ntp.conf
server 10.24.179.33 prefer
server 127.127.1.0
fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 8
The Linux Fedora Core 4 test machine(10.24.179.33 ) configured as NTP server running ntpd V4 has the following configuration
server 127.127.1.0
fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 10
The solaris 10 xntpd get synchronised to Linux NTP server even though it is at a higher stratum level.

The expectation was the solaris machine should not consider the server at a higher stratum level(11) for synchronistation. It should have got synchronised to the Local clock which is at stratum level 8.

I now tried waiting for an hour, but the xntpd id still synchronised to the higher stratum clock from the NTP server 10.24.179.33. Please verify the logs below.
Does the prefer keyword in line "server 10.24.179.33 prefer" has anything to do with this behaviour ?
What does the RFC1305 say on process of selecting a synchronisation source ?
My understanding was that xntpd should not be synchornising with a higher stratum clock from the NTP server (which is at stratum 11) when it already has as another server(here the local clock) which is at a lower stratum (we have simulated this by fudging the local clock to stratum 8).
Please correct me on this.

Could you explain me more on these situations and I also want to know the rules used by xntpd to choose a clock?

Integrate OAS Portal with E1 - WSRP Producer

I want to integrate OAS Portal with E1. I am following: "JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Release 8.98 Portal Reference Guide for All Portals and Platforms" and I have a doubt about how to register a new WSRP producer for Oracle Portal Server.
I am working with:
- OAS Portal 10.1.4 (integrated with Windows Server 2003 SP1)
- JDE E1 8.12 Tools 8.98
- Each one are in a different physical machine.
I am not sure what is exactlly WSRP producer. In the manual, it says that it is: JDE E1 HTML Web Server.
When I amb in the second step to register the new WSRP (Provider Description (WSDL)) I have the following error:
"Internal Error *(WWC-00006)*
Unexpected error: *ORA-00932*: Inconsistent datatype waited an IN argument at position 2 that is an instance of an Oracle

I have found the following manual:
"Oracle® Application Server Portal Developer's Guide 10g Release 2" - Configuring Your Application Server to Run JPS-Compliant Portlets (including Data Sources's Configuration).
I have followed the necessary steps, but when I tried to test it (Registering and Viewing Your Portlet's Section (create a WSRP Provider)), I have the same errorr:
Internal error WWC-00006
Unexpected error ORA-00932
WWC-35000
I have verified via web browser my WSRP Producer WSDL Page, and it is correct.
I have tested with different users (orcladmin, portal, etc), even I have included them in PORTAL_ADMINISTRATORS group. But it doesn't work...
Another thing I have tested is to apply 4640471 patch, although I am not sure it should be necessary, because in ReadMe file, it is only for Solaris Systems, and I am working with Windows Server 2003 SP1...
I am really desesperate with this error, do you have any idea to solve it?

Resources needed to integrate iTunes U with existing authentication?

I have been reading the on-line and PDF iTunes U Admin guide for a few days now.
I think I can handle most administration issues, but not how to integrate iTunes U with our existing authentication system, described here http://bit.ly/7oAzpp
I believe ours is LDAP based.
Not sure other staff have the time to do it. We may have some CS students that might be able to tackle it.
As an alternative, are there outside services that might specialize in this?
Any rough amount of hours or cost?
I am looking at options, and welcome any feedback.

You do not need to know any particular language…Apple's examples are just starting places. Each of those code samples does exactly the same thing, just in a different language. I have a very high pitched constant sound coming through my monitors when my iMac 2013 is plugs into my audio interface (Komplete Audio 6) this doesn't happen with when using the same set up but with my macbook powering the interface

When i searched on internet about how to do it, i found a document on oracle's site which has instructions (in the HOW-TO section) related to integration with OC4J (and not Oracle 10g)
I have been successfully able to integrate OC4J developer preview edition 10.1.3 with TIBCO enterprise for JMS.
when i tried with the same instructions to integrate oracle 10g with TIBCO Enterprise for JMS, i could not succeed. The i understood that the standalone OC4J is different from the embedded OC4J in Oracle 10g

I do not believe this. I have been going nuts trying everything as in prior posts, and this has been a problem for users at least since 2010. I had this problem a long time ago and didn't pay too much attention to it because it was my iPad, and I depended on my BB a a base calander to feed Outlook. I became very concerned within the past week when I switched my BB to iPhone 5s, and was carrying both because I still needed to carry the BB for new calander enteries to sync up to Outlook 2007.
I had followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 and delete the apple s/w and re-installed. But according to the previous post, it appears that the issue was in the data - which was not deleted during all these deinstalls nor overridden with the new installs.
I am a XP user, so my files are in documents and settings/(username) both application data and \local settings\application data, but I also have safari and quicktime installed as well and didn't want to just blow entire high level folders if I didn't have to.
So I followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 then purged several apple folders in my windows profile and this definitely blew apple computer\preferences away. What I did was a little clumbsy, and desperate, but it worked. I am finally back in business.
However, I would like to see someone fine tune this and determine if it was just the preferences folder that needed to be deleted so that iTunes needed to rebuild it, or if there were other filoes that were apparently corrupted away, just to get this to the minimum number of steps to fix the issue.
BUT THANKS - This has been the most HELPFUL thread to get me syncing agai!!!!
