Could the battery of the iphone 5 be the cause of this much crap?

i have an iphone 5 wich is about 2 years old now
and now i could probably throw it in the trashcan since im in a recovery loop
Here is are my problems:
After couple of months of use without any problems, the iphone suddently turns off and on randomly
but ONLY if its on standby mode, when im using the phone it does not turn off/on randomly... ever
As times goes by now the Iphone shut itself off when im not using the phone for long time (by long time i mean after a night of sleep)
When i go to sleep i know my phone will be turned off by the next morning (this probably after a couple of random restarts because this problem still hasn't fixed after updating to ios7 and then later to ios8)
I always to use a Hard reset to turn it back on... every morning... because i cant turn the phone back on the normal way
Now my second problem
I had ios 6 when i bought the phone and only did 3 updates wich where i am now at ios8
i dont update regularly, i will tell you why
EVERY UPDATE was a complete nightmare
it ALWAYS gets stuck at some point during the update
either its, waiting for iphone - checking apple server - progress bar that is stuck at 10% or 95%, errors #2 and all those other error numbers
i always needed to try 100+ times before it finnaly works 1 time (6 hours of non stop trying was the minimum for each update)
but this one is different,
i want to upgrade to ios 8.2 from 8 and i tried almost 2 days straight of disconnecting and connecting to try BUT IT DOESNT WORK?
yes i tried non stop wich i am still trying now, it doesn't want to work
it completed it 2 times but whenever i got the message: do not unplug the iphone it will restart in couple moments
... it does not restart and im still stuck at recovery mode
i also want to mention that when the message appears the progress bar isn't 100% rather 95%
is there any possibility that an bad working battery is the cause of this?
im about to give up and thinking to buy a iphone 6 and just smash this iphone 5 into pieces
sorry for the long text but this is like all the problems you can get in a single phone

As far as battery coverage goes, take a look at this site and see if your phone might qualify for the battery replacement program. That program covers 3 years after the purchase date if your phone's serial number qualifies.

Also, getting the iPhone to a working state is usually done pretty painless at the Apple Retail Store. They let you know up front if there is going to be a charge so you don't have to worry about taking your phone in and them requiring you to pay them to get your phone back. It certainly never hurts to try.
Trying the restore with another computer never hurts in case you wish to avoid the store.

It sounds like the battery might have gone bad, and is swelling and causing the symptoms you describe. Do not attempt to use the phone, but take it to Apple for evaluation.

It's not enough for the other person to just have an iPhone. They must be on iOS 5, have iMessage enabled and connected to the Internet.

Backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

Pretty generic, but its a start, the process in question is cft_flow_lookup.
This may be an indication of a deeper resource issue.

The value was 10 and I just increased it to 12That seems to be an extremely high value. I would guess that your I/O system f or the redo log and archivelogs cannot keep up with the rate of redo generation.
You may have addressed a symptom, not a cause.
Is the cause :
a. Very (unnecessarily) high redo rates ?
b. Slow I/O (with a warning about log write time being logged) ?

You just need to attach the person to the FND User. System Administrator responsibility - Security - User screen.
After you have linked the person, you can check the table
Select * from FND_USER
Where user_name = '<user_name>';

Following the most recent IOS IPhone update our Iphone calendars, contacts and messages have all merged. This problem has never happened before. We all use the same Itunes account as a family and one AppleID. Does anyone know the cause of this problem?

We have 4 Iphones. As a family we have happily shared the same ITunes account and one AppleID. After the most recent iPhone IOS update all our contacts and calendars have merged and we randomly receive some messages that one of us has sent to another contact.
This is causing chaos.
Can anyone help me with:
1. Has anyone experienced a similar problem recently?
2. The records to the individual phones have not been saved been saved separately. After this merging of all the data into one composite record, is there anyway to reverse the change and restore the phones to just their individual records?
3. I guess that the cause may be the common AppleID. I have tried to create my own AppleID but my personal email address is already linked to the existing AppleID so I am blocked from setting up a separate AppleID in my own name. Does anyone know how I can get around this block?
4. Would it be better to create a separate Apple ICloud address for each of us as well? How do I do this?

- This process work across internet network (lease line).
- Have to update a large amount of data ,around 500,000 rows,from source to target
- Target has existing data around 70 million rows
Here is the problem,
When update process was executed it won't complete in step update flag useless row.
In the opeator windows,It will show in the thunder icon which mean it still in processing.
In the mean while,the target database seesion was already dead (missing).
This process has take a long time I think,may be 4-5 hrs.
So I could not detect any point of this process that ......
this is come from network issue or come from a bug of software or something else.
In my opinion,
something wrong on the process "update flag useless row" because it take too long time.Then after it's finish "update flag useless row" step.(I know that this step already finish because i already check on the target database that the flag has been completely updated).It cannot send some signal back to ODI to update status in the repository that this step already finish.So It could not execute a next step.

What's the cause of this audio distortion?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I've run into a problem that I can't seem to fix. I've have distorted music playback before that was caused by too many background programs running simultaneously. I discovered, by accident, that closing all background programs would fix the sound distortion I was experiencing when listening to music. I've used nearly all but 1gb of my 16gb memory and I have several different music apps, all of which greatly improve upon the sound of the built in hardware.
My favorite of these apps is EQu which allows an amazing amount of eq customization and preset creation. One day, after listening to music all night and falling asleep, I awoke to my phone completely drained of battery juice so I charged it for a few hours and the distortion issue is back except this time NOTHING will get rid of it! I've deleted & reinstalled all music tracks, uninstalled all music apps and only reinstalled EQu but the problem remains. This distortion is present in all music players (including stock player) on all tracks and can be heard in the internal speaker. It doesn't matter what volume level or if the connection is via the headphone jack, line out, or Bluetooth- the distortion is present and seemingly permanent! I have an iPad2 with all of the same apps (save Sonic Junky EQ)as my iPhone4 & it is working just fine. I suspect some app I installed and uninstalled may have somehow corrupted the audio processor but I want to avoid resetting the whole device for obvious reasons. The last backup I had via iCloud was during the distortion problem so I don't think restoring from that backup would work if it's an app that created this problem.
There's at least one person that reviewed an app called "Sonic Junky Equalizer" that stated it messed up his volume and a number of other people report it being very buggy in general. That app was the most recent audio app I installed and uninstalled because it was so buggy. I just hope the damage is reversible without having to do a reset! Any advice of the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Really not sure why that particular error message happens.. I'm guessing it's because ODP tries to construct an DateTime out of an invalid value .. but it looks like the cause is that you're binding the input parameters as output parameters.
I can reproduce (and fix) that error with the following code.

My macbook model 7.1 will not start up unless connected to power supply even when it is fully charged. Does anyone know the cause of this?

I definitely understand your concern with your battery not powering your MacBook when the power adapter is disconnected. I found a couple of resources that I think might help with this.
The first thing I recommend is resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your MacBook:
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own
Note: Portable computers that have a battery you should not remove on your own include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, and MacBook (Late 2009).
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
