Could very high volume hurt earpods?

Hi,
I accidentally let the iPhone 5 earpods connected to a computer with the volume at its max.
This happened for few minutes.
Could earpods get damaged by being exposed to a very high volume like that?
Now I'm listening to music with these pods again, and they seem to work as expected...
Thanks.

Fortunately, I didn't wear the pods during this "high volume" period :-)
The pods are brand new, thus I'd like to be sure nothing hurt them..
I said all seems to be ok with them, but I can't be sure..I'd like to know if, technically, a very high volume impact on the pods could damage them.
Thx

  • How to handle very high volume msgs in XI

I have  a scenario where  6 million msgs/ hour(xml) have to be picked form source and to be sent to target ,
How do we handle this high volume of data is there any good practice
    Pls suggest .

    Hi Anubhav,
if you just have to send source file to target system without doing any mapping, then it dont use XI for it.......because you have a very high volume of msgs and for this such load, XI will start putting your msgs in wait status and may be the JAVA engine may go down because of insufficient memory.......
So better have an FTP utility in target system.....connect to source system by this...and move the files from source to target by this FTP utility......
But if you have to do a mapping from source msg to target msg, then use XI....but try doing the mapping by graphical mapping and dont go for ABAP mapping to reduce memory usage for your scenario.......

  • AE hooked to stereo - very high volume!  adjustable?

I have been using an Airport Express plugged with analog headphone plug into a fairly high-end Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver. Works great.
I just bought a 2nd Airport Express and plugged it into a much smaller, far lower end Tivoli Radio Works system. I had my iPod's dock plugged into the aux input and was using that fine. I replaced the iPod with the AE and notice that the AE-output sound is extremely high volume. I set the Tivoli's volume to maybe 3-4% and it's as loud as I'd ever listen to it normally.
Not sure why I didn't notice this on the Yamaha - perhaps it scales down the input? Is there a way to get the AE to "quiet down" on the Tivoli? Some AE setting? Thanks.
Is it damaging to plug the AE to analog line in on a stereo, given the volume?
    blakespot

For the AX, the analog audio is handled by a Texas Instruments PCM2705 digital-to-analog converter which it outputs on a 3.5mm stereo minijack. It has a maximum output level of 1.53V, which is 2.3dB lower than a CD standard's 2V. The output impedance is around 15 ohms across the audioband.
It appears that the audio input port's impedance, between your Yamaha and Tivoli, are different and why you are hearing a significant difference in volumes. The signal from the AX is not amplified, and thus, why it would require either powered speakers or a LINE in for play back.
The AX gets is audio source, by default, from iTunes. You can adjust the output level from there.

  • Order related billing of services with very high volumes

    Hi,
does anyone has experience with very large invoices? We already have large invoices in SD (up to 42.000 items) and this works fine. Due to business requirements this number will increase. We calculated the following volumes for the future:
max. # of invoice items per invoice:          250.000
total # of invoice items per month:        27.000.000
total # of invoices per month:                 40.000
We assume that we will run into problems with this volume, so it would be nice if anyone else has done this before so that we can share the experiences.
    Best regards
    Hans Schmill

    Hi,
Just be careful with your Invoice number range
    Rest hope for the best

  • Very high volumes of data transfer on ethernet.

Since upgrading to Leopard the volume of network data transfer has gone through the roof! Enough to force me to go over my broadband limit and have to pay penalty charges. Just sitting here this morning for 4 hours the system clocked up 100MB out (Tx) and 300MB incoming (Rx).
Does anyone know how to turn this off?

As far as I can tell, there is nothing inherent in Leopard that makes it use more bandwidth than Tiger. You need to identify which applications are using the bandwidth and take appropriate action.
    Questions:
    1) Are you using a file syncing service such as DropBox or iDisk?
    2) Could it be iTunes?
    3) Did you download any software updates automatically?
    4) Do you have Mail set up with an IMAP account (like Gmail) with automatic polling?
To identify which applications have a network connection established, open Terminal and enter:
$ lsof | grep IPv | grep ESTABLISHED
Don't enter the "$" - that represents the command prompt. THe command will list all "open files", using an Internet Protocol connection that is ESTABLISHED.

  • What kind of throughput should I expect? Anyone using AQ in high volume?

    Hi,
I am working with AQ in a 10.2 environment and have been doing some testing with AQ. What I have is a very simple Queue with 1 queue table. The queue table structure is:
    id number
    message varchar(256)
    message_date date
I have not done anything special with storage paramteres, etc so it's all defalt at this point. The I created a stored procedure that will generate messages given message text and number of times to loop. When I run this procedure with 10,000 iterations it runs in 15 seconds (if I commit all messages at the end) and 24 seconds if I commit after each message (probabliy more realistic).
Now, on the same database I have a straight table that contains one column (message varchar(256)). I have also created a similiar storage procedure to insert into it. For this, 10,000 inserts takes about 1 second.
As you can see there is an order of magnitude of difference so I am looking to see if others have been able to achieve higher throughput than 500-700 messages per second and if so what was done to achieve it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Bill

Yes, I have seen it. My testing so far hasn't even gotten to the point of concurrent enqueue/dequeue. So far I have focused on enqueue time and it is dramatically slower than a plain old database table. That link also discussed mutliple indexed organized tables being created behind the scenes. I'm guessing that the 15X factor I am seeing is because of 4 underlying tables, plus they are indexed organized which adds additional overhead.
So my question remains - Is anyone using AQ for high volume processing? I suppose I could create a bunch of queues. However, that will create additional management on my side which is what I was trying to avoid by using AQ in the first place.
Can one queue be served by multiple queue tables? Can queue tables be partitioned? I would like to minimize the number of queue so that the dequeue processes don't have to contain multiplexed logic.
    Thanks

  • Very high pitch sound on new Quad

    Just got my Quad yesterday
Everything is good, except that it has a very high pitch sound that is very annoying and it hurts my ears in the long run.
I disconnected the HD and superdrive to see if I could locate the source, but it is still there.
I thought about pulling the gpu (6600 256MB), but I don't know if the Quad will start up without a gpu.
I thought the 6600 was supposed to be with a fan, but all I see is black cooling ribs.
Any others with this sound ?
Its not a fan noise, and not a pump noise. It is like a 'electronic' whine.

I have sensitive hearing and noticed something similar when I got my 2.5GHz liquid-cooled G5. It was a constant sound and believe it was coming from the cooling pump. Does your sound ever vary? Try running System Load and see if you can get it to vary.

  • Could Very Low Disk Space Cause problems?

Hi, my 600 GB Hard Drive only had around 5 GB of space left . I purchased a new 1 TB Hard Drive in order to delete media so that I could gain the space back. I've since gained back 200 GB of Space but Could very low disk space cause issues? What kind of issues could occur? Thanks

There are any number of reasons for occasional beachballs to appear. They will appear when some programs are involved in heavy disk I/O which tends to be processor dependent and causes the program to suspend all other activity until the disk activity has completed. This is more often the case when writing to the disk. Beachballs may also appear if the OS has to use disk I/O and is slowed down by an over-filled and/or fragmented hard drive. The fuller a drive gets the greater the likelihood that fragmentation will become a more noticeable problem. Beachballs can appear if you are low on physical memory so applications must resort to disk-based virtual memory which is considerably slower and tends to cause the computer to become slow or unresponsive for a period of time. It can also cause disk-thrashing. Beachballs can occur if the disk has become corrupted causing applications to have difficulty reading from or writing to the disk.
It is possible to repair a drive's directory, and it's even possible to identify corrupted files, but it's not possible to repair corrupted files nor repair a corrupted drive. If a drive develops corrupted files either the files will need to be replaced or deleted. If a drive develops soft sector errors these can be repaired by erasing the drive (reformatting.) If a drive develops hard sector errors these may or may not be repairable, but if they are repairable it requires zeroing the data during a disk formatting operation. If the disk directory becomes corrupted that can be repaired using Disk Utility or one of the various third-party utilities such as Disk Warrior. Disk Utility can repair many but not all directory corruption problems. What DU cannot fix Disk Warrior usually can.
    You can start repairing a drive as follows;
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
This applies to your startup volume. No need to repair permissions on any but a startup volume.

  • Shared Pool: KGH No ACCESS Is Very High

if you run the following query it shows you a very high value for KGH NO ACCESS (around 5GB)
select * from v$sgastat where pool = 'shared pool' and (name in ('free memory', 'sql area', 'library cache', 'miscellaneous', 'row cache', 'KGH: NO ACCESS') )
    that KGH means?

    Hi,
As you have sga_target, ASMM is enabled and could be the cause of high KGH No Access. Have a look at

  • Which perspectives I should consider about Av Rd(ms) is very high just for

    db version: 11.1.7
    os: RH linux 5.5
I was seeing i/o stats from AWR generated for one hour, and all the value of Av Rd(ms) for files i/o stats are under around 10, however except for one file, the Av Rd(ms) just for one data file is very high(38325.25), even Av Rd(ms) of the others data files which are on same mount point with that one file are also normal, so I think this should be caused by application, however I can not find out clue.
so could you please give me some perspectives to be considered and to be researched? thanks so much!

It's possible that you will find that a single read request got an extremely high time - I've seen odd glitches occasionall, with a single block read taking (apparently) several weeks to complete - and that you can ignore the side effects .

    Hi,
I have an gt 683r gaming laptop, however there seems to be a problem with the right speaker as at high volume it starts to pitch and it makes listening to music annoying.
Does anybody have the same problem, and how could it be solved.
    Thx

Contact your reseller and send it to RMA would be my advice.
I'm not award of any apart issue on this model, probably it is an hardware issue and only solution would be RMA.
