Could we copy and paste class styles in Reflow like layer styles in Photoshop?

I don't know if it's in there or not, but it wasn't mentioned in the tutorials, but I think this would be really useful, if possible. We are trying to use Reflow as a means of designing our assets once in a psd and then creating the responsive layouts to our development team. This way we won't have to spell out font sizes, colors, etc. or take time saving each individual graphic asset. Everyone will be happy!

You can "copy visual styles" and "paste visual styles" between elements in Reflow, which makes it easy to make multiple elements use the same CSS. However, there isn't currently a way to actually share the same CSS rule between elements so that you can change it in one place and have the new CSS apply in all instances.

I am creating multiple video tracks with text. I want to easily copy and paste the style, i.e., Font, Color, Size - rather than having to scroll down the giant list of fonts to find the one I want, then change the color, then change the size - each and every time. This is arduous.
I tried copy / paste of one text onto a new video track, but when I type in a different word, it alters the original.
I have 9 tracks of video for 9 different texts that will pop in and out of my video. I would like to be able to copy/paste then just change the text. This would save me a huge amount of time.

I know of no way to alphabetized the Adobe Styles that come with the program.
If you had the time and the inclination, you could rename them all to force them to appear alphabetically, but that does not seem all that practical.
But, if your interest is in the Styles that you save and you do not hit the Reset File List, the new Styles will be at the bottom of the list and you can name them so that they appear that alphabetically at the bottom of the whole Styles list. But that does not address the matter of you having to scroll to the bottom of the Styles list.
In some instances, some things that you think that you cannot do in Premiere Elements obvious features, can be done by computer keyboard shortcuts. I check the keyboard shortcuts under the Edit Menu/Keyboard Customization and unfortuately did not find any that would be applicable to this situation.
As for your changes in one text file popping up unwantedly in another text file, that is because you have text files with the same name. Look into creating duplicates (with different file names) in Project Assets at the onset.

I believe that insufficient RAM may be the source of some of your problems. If you have a RAM of somewhere 4 to 8GB, you will experience smoother computing. 3GB doesn't seem right, so you might want to learn more by going to this site:

I don't know what know what's happening with your optical drive, but it seems you use your drive quite a bit. In that case, look into a lens cleaner for your machine. It's inexpensive, works quite well.

How can I copy and paste something which is written in hindi font in photoshop?

I want to create an image with some text written on it. The text which is to be written is in Hindi language and I have that text in a ms word file. But I don't know Hindi typing so the only option I have is to copy and paste that text from ms-word file as it is. Now the problem is the same font is working in ms-word file properly but as I soon as I copy it to Photoshop with the same font enabled, it is showing something weird boxes. In short, Hindi font is working for ms-word but same Hindi font is not working for Photoshop particularly in case of copy and paste. Not only one font, I tried many of them but problem is the same for every font. Please help. Proper answer will be greatly appreciated.

Actually in the picture I want something which is written on the right hand side to the equal sign ('='). Problem is when I copy it from ms word file or notepad file with same font enabled in the Photoshop, Photoshop automatically converts it to something which is written on the left hand side to equal sign ('='). Believe me I have done everything in last 24 hours to fix this problem but unfortunately none of the solution worked. I also used "Place" option to import the ms word file but again unfortunately Photoshop doesn't allow text files or .doc file format to be placed. So the thing is I want something which is written right hand side but when I copy it to Photoshop, Photoshop automatically converts it into something which is written on the left hand side. Bring back copying and pasting of SONG and ARTIST info (not just links)

Guys, I used to be able to copy and paste song and artist info into a Google document so I could have a record of my favourite tracks. I'm not talking about copying and pasting actual links within Spotify; rather just the absolute basics. If still not following, I would, for example copy a track from my Spotify playlist as such: Megadeth - Hanger 18 After which I would paste into a Google document and get this: Megadeth - Hanger 18 I've always found the ability to do this very handy. Any chance we can have this back, Spotify? And while we're at it, can we be able to hover over the Spotify icon in the Windows system tray and have currently playing track info displayed? Cheers.

Select the text in both cases, and look at the Character Style applied. My guess is that the grey text has the Hyperlink Character style, and it has been manually overridden to get to grey and not underlined. When the text is copied and pasted, the Style is re-asserting itself. Remove the Style from the grey text (or use Redefine Style to change it to match your formatting preferences).

Can I copy and apply title style edits? Or save them to favorites?

I'm doing a slideshow in iMove and I have a lot of titles. Is there a way to copy and paste a style or save an altered title to a favorites list? I've started with one of the stock title styles but altered the font, kerning, leading, color, transparancy, etc... But I don't want to do this every time for every title. Can I copy and paste the "graphic style" like I can with photos in iWeb?

I am not aware of a way to do this with copy/paste. Copy and paste in iMovie allows you to copy video adjustments or sound adjustments to other clips.
One way to help accomplish what you are looking to do would be to create your title slides in a new project called title templates. When you start a new project, you can right-click (control-click) on the project name in the project source list, and select Duplicate. Now you have a new project ready to go with your title already in it.
Similarly, you could take your existing project with the title you like. Duplicate the project. Then delete everything except the title. This could be your template.

Copying and Pasting file paths in iChat

Hi all,
Since upgrading some of our machines at the office to Snow Leopard 10.6.4 and iChat 5.0.3 we are having a strange issue that I hope someone has some insight into.
When all of the machines at our office ran Leopard and iChat 4, we used to send linkable file paths to folders on our server to one another via iChat so we could avoid having to write "go to Jobs, then to Current, then Posted, and the file is in there."
We would achieve this by opening up a firefox window, then dragging a folder from our server into the window. It would generate a filepath that looked like "file:///Volumes/Server/Jobs/New/transfer/" in the URL bar which could be copied and pasted into iChat and would appear as a linkable URL. Then we started using a program called Get File Path by Alpha Omega Software (http://alphaomega.software.free.fr/), a great drag and drop app which did the same thing with great results.
On machines that run Snow Leopard 10.6.4 and iChat 5.0.3 neither of these tricks will work anymore. The message returns an alert saying that the message couldn't be delivered, and that an "AIM service error occurred."
Does anyone know why this is happening? Has ichat changed the way it pastes text into message windows? These tricks were real timesavers, and it is annoying they are no longer working.
As an aside, the port number in iChat is 5190 on all machines, those that work and those that don't. This probably has nothing to do with it, but it is a little extra info.

I did test this (I got distracted from looking for the thread to post to it).
I tested with A Google ID and a Jabber ID (one on Each computer) and could send the Text and it appeared as a Live link and showed where the file was.
It did not matter which was sending (10.6.4 or 10.5.8)
I tested with two AIM based Logins.
As you have stated 10.6.4/iChat 5.0.3 will not send to 10.5.8/iChat 4.0.9
10.5.8/iChat 4.0.9 can send to 10.6.4/iChat 5.0.3
I double checked firewalls. (Both allowing iChat)
I checked the router (allowing all ports on Local Traffic).
I did find this in a Console Message (on the 10.6.4 computer) though:-
Based on this info I tried deleting com.apple.ichatAgent.plist and starting iChatAgent (I used Force Quit in Activity Monitor and restarted iChat)
This did not improve things.

How can I get copy and paste to work in Lion?

Never had any problem using copy and paste function on my old iMac (Snow Leopard OS X). Just bought a new iMac with Lion. Now, the copy and paste function won't work.
Tried to copy and paste a web link into a Mail message unsuccessfully (tried select text, command C, then command V- no luck. Then tried select text, menu bar Edit- Copy, then Edit-Paste- No luck. Last, tried right-click menu,Copy, then right-click Paste- no luck). Also, selected some text in an email message and tried to copy and paste it elsewhere in the same email message- no luck. Opened TextEdit and used all the above techniques and could not copy and paste into TextEdit. Also could not use copy and paste to work in Safari when I tried it when working in a gmail message.
This is extremely frustrating. I searched but could not find a fix that addressed this precise issue.
Please help. When suggesting fixes, please recognize that I'm an intermediate user- not a beginner, but also not an advanced techie.

Something seems to be interfering with those functions.
Two troubleshooting steps to try.
First, boot into Safe Mode and see if it still occurs. If it doesn't, then there is some third-party program interfering.
To boot into Safe Mode, hold down the shift key on restart when you hear the tone. Hold until the gray screen. It does take longer to boot as it runs some checks. It will also boot to the login screen regardless of your login settings.
Second, try a new user account. If it works there, it is isolated to your particular account and not the whole system.

I have an image that i want to crop/use some parts and copy and paste as a title/overlay. how do i do this

This is a jpeg file but i also have it in illustrator. I friend of mine made this for me as i am not very proficient.
I want to crop/copy and paste the individual features of the panda and place it on top of a visual clip as a title, just like as if i was writing a heading.
I originally thought i could just copy and paste this from illustrator but this didn't work.
Then i thought if i get a backgroundless copy this would be able to work but that didn't either.
I have been learning premiere pro cc (my version) for the last week or so but I'm still new to video editing.
Ultimately i want the shapes of this panda to overlay a visual clip premiere pro cc

To change the opacity/transparency of the panda, double click it on the timeline, then go to the "Effects Controls" tab, twirl down the 'Opacity' setting, and adjust as needed.
Separating the panda:
Method 1: The easiest way would be to bring the panda into your project as 6 separate files exported from illustrator.
Method 2: If you would prefer to however cut it up manually inside of Premiere, then go to the 'Effects' tab, search for "matte" and select the "Eight-point garbage matte" effect. You can use this to isolate a feature of the panda.
Either way, you will need to stack multiple layers on top of each other in the timeline to piece together the panda again.

Copy and Paste should enter more than just 'Paste Settings' in the History list.

It would be nice if you could actually copy and paste (or Sync) the actual sequential history list from one pic to another. I find myself needing to look at the History list fairly often (to see what changes I made) and it is much too vague to only see 'Paste Settings' appearing in the History list.
Ideally the pasted list would weed out all trial and error entries and cleanly list only the final settings.

The contacts must exist in the address book that you create the mailing list in.
After that make sure the Directory pane is turned on and showing in the address book window. If it is not showing, from the menu bar select View-Layout-Directory Pane
Click on the address book so its contacts are showing in the main window
You should see the Mail List as a subfolder of the address book. If not, click the small pointer beside the book to expand the view.
Now find and select the contacts for the mail list and then drag and drop them on the mailing list folder to add them to the list.

Can't Copy and Paste into Illustrator CS3 from Firefox 3!

I read these things all the time, but first time posting, so you KNOW this problem is annoying me.
I could always copy and paste from Firefox 2 into Illustrator CS2/CS3. However, once I upgraded to Firefox 3 I no longer can! I get the annoying "Quicktime and a decompressor are needed to see this picture." I can't believe more people aren't complaining more about this. Save your time posting about "Illustrator is a vector program, and Photoshop is pixel based," I know I have been able to do it before so that is not the issue. Any light that could be shed on the situation would be great! Thanks in advance.

I found that FF3 originally renamed .jpegs to the JFIF format when draging and dropping to the desktop, and it was not until March when the code was finalized that that you could drag and drop to your desktop without the conversion. You get around the illustrator CS3 problem a number of ways...drap and drop to the desktop and then to illustrator CS3, Drap and drop to photoshop CS3 and then to Illustrator CS3 or save as to the desk top, or use an older version of Firefox. I am currently tyring to determine if the JFIF renaming issue is what is preventing the direct drag and drop to Illustrator, and if there is a fix for issue. Any help out there or ideas would be helpful.

I have just downloaded IWork to evaluate and am stumped at the first hurdle. I just want to copy a cells format (not its contents)and paste it into another cell (format painter in Excel). Can anyone help?
