Could you provide sccripts to add old SAN disk groups to New SAN

Hi,
I'll giv u a brief about my setup. It is 2 node RAC connected to a SAN storage and size of DB is 500GB on Windows 2003. So now they r having a new storage box with 3TBand they asked to migrate this entire setup to new one. So please provide me the detailed doc on this.
I've to migrate Database from OLD SAN to New SAN. Some guys helped me the solution, but i couldnt get clearly. They have told me that
Simply add new LUNs to the existing disk groups. Drop the old SAN LUNs in the disk groups(this merely marks the LUNs to be dropped). Issue a re balance common to move and re stripe the data from the OLD SAN LUNs onto new SAN LUNs.once this operation is completed , ASM will Drop old LUNs from Disk groups and these LUNs can be physically removed. All this can happen with the instance running -it will be obvious of the underlying storage system change being made.
So please provide me the scripts for the above with detailed process how we need to do that and i ma the only person DBA in organisation but i am not much aware about ASM. So please help me out to complete this task.
Even i am new DBA...pls help me out

Where is OCR and VD stored ? That also will be in the old storage right ? If that also needs migration to the new storage, then there are some additional steps to migrate OCR and VD.

How reInstall Gride Infrastructure and Use old ASM disk groups

I installed Grig Infrastructure 11gR2 on a standalone server (OS is Linux)
and I configured ASM and my database created on ASM
Conceive that my OS disk corrupted and OS doesn't start and the Gride Home is on that disk,
and I have to install OS again
My ASM disks are safe , Now how can I install Grig Infrastructure again somehow that it can use previous ASM disks
and disk groups and I don't oblige to create my database again ?
In the step 2 of installing Gride Infrastructure it has four options

Hi,
no you are not obliged to recreate your database again. However there is a small flaw in the installation procedure, which does not make it 100% easy...
When you installed the Oracle Restart (Standalone GI), your ASM diskgroup will contain the SPFILE of the ASM instance. And this is exactly the small flaw you will be encountering. So you have 2 options for "recovery":
1.) Do a software only install (4), and run roothas.pl. This however will not create any ASM entries. You would have to add it manually (using srvctl) and you can specify the ASM Spfile with the srvctl command. Problem here is however to have to know where your ASM spfile has been. If you have a backup of your OLR and a backup of the GPNP profile, this might be easier to find out.
2.) Do a new installation (2) and configure a new diskgroup (with a "spare" disk or small lun and a new name), that Oracle restart creates ASM instance and the new ASMSpfile for you.
Then you can simply mount the diskgroup containing your database additionally. You then shoudl however move your new ASMSpfile to the new diskgroup (or simply exchange it with the existing one). In this case it is easier to find out where it was - however you will need a spare (though small) LUN for the new spfile (temporarily, until you exchange it).
In either case after you have your ASM instance back (and access to your old diskgroup), you have to reregister your database and services - if you do not have an OLR backup.
Again => It is doable and you can simply mount the ASM diskgroup containing your database. However I suggest you try this one time to know what really needs to be done in this case.

When I don't provide a printer name (or path), the Report is printed on the default printer. This printing works fine under Win98, but it doesn't work on WinNT or WinXP.

My network printer name is "R&DHP4000TN" and the printer server name is: "SERVEUR_BDC".
So I think the full path of the printer should be:
"\\SERVEUR_BDC\R&DHP4000TN"
Maybe, the printer name is too long, or the "&" is not correctly interpreted?
What's your opinion about this ?

Businesses are finding that they lack this kind of documentation; either there has been inadequate process definitions altogether, or they have no documentation in place. When reviewing the existing documentation, it is important to know where a particular SOP may be needed, or that the SOP available is too technical or not current for most users to be able to use.
Standard Operating Procedure Structure
Any SOP has to list the procedure name and a description of what the goal or intention is of this procedure. It will also show the SLA level, since almost every procedure will have a service level agreement (SLA), a major part of a service contract, where the level of service is formally defined and what is expected in terms of timely delivery of the procedure. The risk level will be defined in terms of how severe a failure would be and how many dependent products or procedures would be affected by such a failure. Finally, a SOP should include the estimated time of resolution (ETR), or the expected time taken to complete the procedure, the group or section responsible for doing this work, any dependencies on other SOPs and escalation guidelines, should the process become "stuck" in some way for whatever reason.

Can you transfer pictures from an old ipod touch to a new ipod touch without having the old ipod touch or the photos in Iphoto?

I somewhat recently got a new ipod touch after my screen cracked and the people at an Apple store said it would be cheaper to buy a new device completely. I followed everything they said about backing up my old device and when I went to pick up the new one, the store took the old one away.
Up until just a few days ago I did not realize Iphoto could hold pictures from your ipods. Mine never did it automatically, nor did anything ever seem to have the option to do. It just so happened that two days ago I was browsing the web when I noticed a website gave instructions on how to transfer photos. So I tried it and it worked for my new ipod while all the new photos.
But I was wondering if I could somehow get the old photos back from Itunes or my computer somewhere and transfer them into Iphoto or my new device. I was hoping that maybe if I could "back up" my old stuff onto my new ipod for a few moments it would show I have the old photos and I could transfer them into Iphoto and then restore the ipod touch back to what I have it currently.
If it helps, I'm pretty sure the old ipod touch I had was a 3gen as my new one I noticed was skinnier. As I said, I do not have the old touch anymore but I have the data in Devices on my Itunes if that makes a difference. Both my data for my old one and new one are in the Devices section of Itunes.

Could you restrict purchase orders based upon Vendor / Material Group?

Hey everyone - I've got a general "could this be done" kind of question.
We would like to add on to the vendor purchasing view to include "valid" material groups. This would then have what material groups could be purchased for which company code for that vendor. Then in the purchase order creation / modification we would like to be able to validate this purchase order against this vendor / company code / material group combination.
Obviously with enough custom code this could be done. My question is whether it could be done without out introducing too much custom code - how would you construct such a solution to this problem?
We are a SAP 4.7 shop.

By include "valid" material groups i think it means you are introducing a new field or some value in already existing field in vendor master.
1) Now to restrict PO based upon material group a small custom code is needed.
    Use BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST....here write a code with help of your ABAP person that system will first select the
    LIFNR (vendor code) entered in the PO...then it will check the same LIFNR in LFM1 table...here it will check the material
    group in the customized field & if found that it is within the list of previous listed material group then it will allow to process
    further or otherwise give a customized error message.
or
2) Use the field Group in OMSF...here maintain a common group against the material groups you want to do the purchase cycle.Now ask your BASIS person to use this group in carry out a specific activity, the user must have authorization for the combination of the activity and the authorization group.

How do you transfer info from an old iPod Touch to a new one??

I got the new iPod Touch 5, and I just want to transfer the information from my old iPod onto it!!!! It gave me the option to do that when I connected it to iTunes, but then said I had to set it as a new iPod and update its software before I could do that. And now I can't figure out how to?!??! I just want to freakin transfer the information from my old iPod, please help I'm really irritated!!

They are, but you may want to think twice before using this approach. The reasons are: 1) The extended network will only operate in the 802.11g Radio Mode, and 2) The overall bandwidth will be reduced by half for each base station added. Since this will be a "g" network, you'd be getting around 25-27 Mbps maximum of bandwidth.
