Couldn't take it any longer, gone back to Mavericks
After 2 weeks of dealing with random crashes, reboots and odd querks like the sound balance always reseting to the left channel I have gone back to Mavericks, which was a issue in itself as I didn't have a backup to use and OS X Recovery would only install Yosemite
What I've discovered
1 - An upgrade from Mavericks to Yosemite was extremely unstable - Several crashes and reboots in a day
2 - Clean upgrade to Yosemite from a fresh install was much better, but after a few days became unstable, perhaps due to adding a few more applications? Although all I have running was Dropbox, GoogleDrive, Photoshop and Office.
The last straw was the lock ups and reboots when the iMac came out of sleep and the sounds being reset to the left hand channel
Fortunately through my fiddling I discovered a hidden partition with Mavericks installed on, I was able to create a bootable USB with these files and reinstall a fresh copy of Mavericks. So fingers crossed I'm back to square one...
So here's looking forward to the next updated version of Yosemite!

Sorry, your warranty/support is only valid in the US, including an out of warranty exchange. You'll have to figure out a way to mail the phone to a friend/relative, in the US, & have them take the phone, & US $269 to an Apple store & do an out of warranty exchange. You can't mail the phone to Apple.
One of the downsides to purchasing an iPhone in a country you don't live in or intend to use the phone in.

I have installed Lion over Snow Leopard and noticed a marked increase in the time it takes my time capsule/time machine to back up. It seems to spend a very long time indexing the back up. Does any one know why and more importantly is there a "fix"?
The first index with Lion takes a very long time. Could take over 10 hours. You just have to wait. You can see the progress by opening Console and entering backupd in the search box

If you aren't going to live that long maybe you should give up with computers and start enjoying the few remaining hours.

Your own movies are backed up in the camera roll wich is backed up to iCloud. You should be able to restore the movies if something were to happen to them if you use iCloud for your backups. You would have to purchase more storage from iCloud, but the videos will be backed up

Why is it that it would take a very long time [if ever] to change or adjust the tempo of a loop in the audio track when i set it to adjust regions to locators? Until now the spinning wheel of death is still very much spinning. thanks for any help.
Is there another way to adjust tempo of loops the faster way, any other technique?No clue why the final processes have suddenly started to take so long. Two things I'd try: a) capture from an older tape to see if some problem with the new tape is at fault. And b) check the health of your RAM and the hard drive.
The red frame sounds a bit like a glitch we used to have in OnLocation (actually in its predecessor HDV Rack) which was caused by a partial GOP. But that was a product of HDV Rack recording from the live video stream. It turned out that HDV cameras intentionally interrupt the data stream for an instant upon starting to record--specifically to avoid recording a partial GOP to tape. So my gut says that the tape has partial GOPs at the points where you stopped/started recording. -
Just downloaded the latest version of iTunes, but can't find "Power Search" anymore to locate specific songs or artists quickly? "Browse" takes waaay too long. Any suggestions?

I can not delete old icloud back up from my old phone, keep receiving an error message "this back up can not be deleted because it's in use" it is not in use that phone is long gone!

I suspect you may have a corrupt photo or image that is causing the sync to fail or quit. You might want to try removing all of your photos by deselecting them in iTunes then sync - and try adding them by each sub-folders until you are able to nail down which sub-folder of photos, that causes the sync to stop or gives you errors.

Icloud storage has nothing at all to do with the storage on your iphone.
Icoud storage is on a server somwewhere, not on your iphone.

I downloaded a cheap PDF editor and it converted all my PDFs to their software. Then when I deleted it, I cannot open them in the Adobe format any longer. Please let me know how to get them back!
It's important to understand that when this sort of thing happens files aren't "converted" at all.
In Windows and Mac, there is just one app (program) that it run when you double click a type of file. There's an app for Word documents (Microsoft Word). There's an app for PDF files. So all that happened is that you installed an app which can open PDF files.
Nothing changed in the files. You can still open them the traditional way if you forget double click - start the app, use Open from the File menu.
