Count Hits Hits Returned??

When I enter a query, and select the count hits menu item, it returns the number of records I would expect (entering same query in SQL+). However, when I start to browse the returned rows, I can't figure out what it is returning. One query is to return ~3000 rows, but I can only browse through 10. Another query lets me see 672 out of 5711. What is going on? My form is relatively simple... a few text fields, a few poplists and several check boxes. If I set all the lists and checkboxes, I can browse through all the records just fine.

maybe wrong setting of other values for poplist/checkbox? if you think you set this properly and don't have in any record value not in defined list then i recomend to look at query forms ran (:system.last_query) and try it in sql*plus ...

Try this:
Start a new email. In the To address bar, type in xyz like you normally do, press return to confim, and when the address you want to remove shows up in the address bar, move your cursor over the address you want to delete.
A small triangle next to the name will show up. click on it, a drop down menu will open, click Remove from Previous Recipients List. Then do the drop down menu again and Remove Address.

Security Flaw: Since upgrading to iOS 8.3, I can by-pass passcode security by simply hitting RETURN on my bluetooth keyboard

I noticed when I typed my passcode incorrectly on my Logitech Fabric Skin Keyboard Folio, the iPad allowed me to log in. I checked again, but this time by just hitting RETURN key without entering any passcode, and again it allowed me to log in.
If I disconnect the keyboard, and use the soft keyboard on the iPad itself, it only allows the correct passcode.
Has anybody else seen this security flaw?

Please describe the problem in as much relevant detail as possible. The "etrecheck" fad hasn't made that step any less necessary. The better your description, the better the chance of a solution.
For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? What other changes did you make, if any, just before it became slow? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup.

How can I add an extra space whenever I hit Return?

I'd like to add a space or half space whenever I hit Return. I'm working on a manuscript and would like to format the final version with this style implementation.

When you say "add a space or half space whenever I hit return," are you talking about the same result as pressing return, then press ing the space bar, or (more likely), do you mean a vertical space?
If you're speaking of a vertical space, most curent word processing applications, including Pages will let you specify the "space after paragraph." Here's an example, First with "space after paragraph" set at zero:
Then the same text with "space after paragraph set at 5 points. (The type is Times 12 point):

When I hit return after typing, the cursor returns to the beginning of the sentence

I open a new layer.
I type my text
I hit return'
The cursor starts typing at the beginning of the sentence, typing right over the text I just finished. It will not go to the next line. I've been using PS since 2 and I have never seen this nor do I know what to do about it.

There are all sorts of gotchas in the Character panel. That line of T T TT Tt at the bottom produce faux styles, for instance, so if you find all your text is capitalized, or strikethrough, you'll know where to look. When hitting return/enter, how can I make the cursor go right instead of down?

I would like to change where the cursor goes after I hit return/enter - for it to go to the right instead of down. In Excel I could change it in preferences but I cannot find that option in Numbers. Please help!

Numbers 3 doesn't have that option. You might give feedback to Apple via your menu: Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback.

You can do a count_query on the block for which you want to get the no. of records and then use a get_block_property('<your_block>',query_hits) to get the value.
For ex.
go_block('my_block');
do_key('COUNT_QUERY');
message(get_block_property('my_block',query_hits));-Arun

My Microsoft Word inserts a page break when I hit return

If I press delete to remove the page break, it brings the sentence back into the previous paragraph. If I hit return again to make the sentence into a new paragraph, as it is supposed to be, the computer/program inserts a page break, vaulting me onto the next page and leaving the previous half-page (or a bit more) blank.
Ideas? I have restarted.

Try the following:
Select the paragraph following the unwanted page break.
On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then click the Line and Page Breaks tab.
Clear the Keep lines together, Keep with next, and Page break before check boxes.

I can no longer back-delete or hit return to make a new paragraph, nor can i use the arrows to go backwards and forwards in a line; it's like the fn key is stuck; i've taken it off and cleaned it, and it looked clean.

Mail sends when I hit return

Don't know what happened. But when I hit return to start a new paragraph it SENDS. Is there some weird preference that suddenly activated?

This has happened to me ever since upgraded from 10.6. When I was in the Apple store in November 2013 they said it was a known bug, obvioulsy they have not fixed it. I'm running 10.8.5

Count Hits not displaying the list in Oracle 10g

Hi all,
I have a form that is been converted into ORacle 10g from Forms 6i. When the count hits is executed from the action > Query menu, the no of records that will be fetched is not displayed, instead "press F7 for query, and F8 to execute query" is displayed. The same form in 6i works fine.
Please let me know, is there any settings in Oracle 10g related to this, or a way out to solve this.

I did compile using both the methods (compile_all=yes on linux and also compile all and generating the .fmx through Form builder), but both in cases, the result is the same, no count is displayed.
I have tried with F12 also but did not get the count.
Any Suggestions?

When I select an email address from the dropdown menu and hit return, Thunderbird then fills in a different email address. Yosemite upgrade?

I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite and this new "feature" appeared. I often have several email addresses that contain the same set of characters. I just type the first few characters and then select the appropriate email address from the dropdown menu that appears. But if I hit return afterwards to enter another email address, the first address gets switched back automatically to the first one that appeared in the dropdown menu. The more characters I type, the more accurate it is, but it totally defeats the purpose of autofill if I have to type the entire email address! Anyone else having this problem? And can you guys please fix it? If you select something from the dropdown menu, it should stay selected.

This forum is filled with this same complaint. There is a bug reported on it. If and when they fix it is another question.
Version 24.6 works if you want to go back to a working version.

How to count hits on external navigation nodes ?

Hi there,
our navigation is a mix of PCD generated navigation nodes and those generated by an external navigation connector.
Now we can count hits on the PCD nodes (which are basically related to iviews) using "Portal activity report" .
BUT how could we count the hits on the "external" nodes ?
Any ideas ?

i have code which working.In exiting code i show the Url name and Clint Ip on Frame which is open by client machine.That's no problem...

I've been surfing on and off for a year or so. looking to how to access the hits. I gave up and than tried to insert a html counter and of course that didnt work. For a user friendly program, this is one thing that I am missing. Please end my **** and tell me how to access my iweb counter hits. Thank you.

Are/were you not able to view the counter on your web page? Viewing the count on your web page is the only info that iWeb's counter can give you. If you intend on using iWeb after MMe has been shutdown the following may be of interest to you:
It is now known that iWeb, and iDVD, has been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. However, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:

◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. It now appears that the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on. However, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD. Those two apps were listed in small, gray text on the iLife 11 box that I bought.
Personally, if I didn't already have a copy I would purchase one to have it for reinstallation purposes if ever needed.
