Countless .png files after converting pdf to dwg

After converting a .pdf file to a .dwg file using the export feature in adobe illustrator, I find that as many as 500 .png files come with the newly made .dwg after the conversion is complete. My question is, why do all these pictures come with the .dwg file and what would I have to change, settings wise, to no longer have to delete all of those photos? (i.e. how to export ONLY the .dwg file) I thank you all in advance for you help.

We can't know. We have no idea what the file looks like, how it was created in the first place or even what version of AI you use. And not to state the obvious: You are mistaken if you think that CAD-generated PDFs or DWGs only contain vectors, so for all intents and purposes this could be totally normal within the bounds of the format and how the file was originally generated.

want to convert pdf to dwg file

Adobe Reder does not do that, nor does any other Adobe software. A google search suggests third parties offer such a tool. How useful they are will depend on the PDF, e.g. if it is a scanned blueprint forget it; if it was an CAD design in the first place you might be able to get back basic lines but not text.

  • Fine lines all over the picture after converting PDF file to Photoshop CC.

I converted a PDF-file (PDF/X-1a) into a Photoshop file using Photoshop CC and got fine lines over the picture.
Using Photoshop CS5, those lines will not appear.
    Why?

A little mor information. There are no tiles visible in the PDF file from InDesign CC. They appear after converting to Photoshop CC. The PDF file was a PDF/X-1a:2001. Now I wrote a PDF/X-4:2008 in Indesign CC and there are nor mor tiles but horizontal lines already in the PDF. Converted to Photoshop CC, this lines are still visible:
but they are vanished, if I use Photoshop CS5 for converting:

  • How to automatically close a file after converting it to a pdf file

I am downloading multiple html files and converting them to pdf files.  Adobe Pro Create command or the command line when right-clicking in a web browser for Adobe will convert a html file to pdf but also opens them.  How do I automatically close them to a designated folder?

Are you using the Adobe PDF printer or the Acrobat plugin to create the files?

  • After converting PDF to word, font sometimes changes in the middle and I can't get the document all in the same font.  It happened on many documents.

I am preparing a book which I want in Times New Roman. After converting from PDF files, many of the pages had other fonts, mainly Cambria in them and I couldn't get the whole document in the same font.  How can I fix this?
    ESharan

Fix it in Word. Converting to Word from PDF is a complex and uncertain process, just the first stage in editing. But does the book only exist in PDF? Often people go through PDF because it seems easier, while often it is harder.

  • Fonts are overlapping in converted PDF using *.DWG through autovue 20.2.3

We were seeing this issue in 20.0.0, 20.2.2. But after installing the 20.2.3. we did not see this issue, but after few days again this issue started reproducing. Please let us know if any session, cache or any such aspects causing the issue. However we have cleared the Jetty cache, Java cache and rebooted the physical server but still issue persists.
Please find attached file, in this PDF "Notes" sections related content is overlapping.
Hope this would help you for your further investigation.

If this is tied to During creating Annotation dimensions getting Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NullP
then what you have is actually the expected result, since you are turning on all the layers, visible or not
It is not an AutoVue issue.

  • Remove closed captions from H.264 file after converting?

I processed a video file in Compressor using the Blu-Ray settings, and included a reference to a closed captions file. I now need to use the file in another application (Adobe Encore), but the closed captions appear to be hard coded in.
Is that correct? Is there anyway to remove closed captions from a H.264 file after it has been converted with Compressor?
Please help   This is for a film festival, and I may not have time to process the video in Compressor again without the closed captions.

Fixed question spelling from 'form' to 'from'.

    From the user manual:
"QuickTime files: Compressor adds the closed caption file as a closed caption track to the QuickTime output file."
The closed caption "track" can be turned on and off.  It is not burned into the screen, as is the CC standard.  Encore should handle the file just fine.  You should be able to tell the DVD to have Closed Captioning turned off by default.  That's all it takes.
Sub-Titles may be burned in to the screen.  If you did sub-titles, yes, you'll have to re-encoded from scratch without them.  When doing sub-titles in an DVD authoring program, you have the ability to enable and disable them, but in Compressor, they're burned in.

  • XMP metadata lost from PNG files after saveing

    Hello,
i am using Photosop CS3 SDK. through my plug-in I put some metadata in the file using XMP SDK 4.4.2.
For PNG files, if the file is modified and saved, all the XMP metadata is lost from the file.
The following steps are being done.
    1. Put some metadata in PNG file using SXMPMeta::SetProperty and SXMPMeta::AppendArrayItem
    2. modify the file (changed brightness, contrast, flattened the image).
    3. Save this file.
After saving all the xmp metadata is lost from the PNG file. This works for all other formats.
What can be wrong that I am doing?
Is there any other way to put XMP metadata in file?
    Thanks,
    Hitesh

That's probably because PNG doesn't save or read XMP metadata.
There really aren't standards for metadata in PNG. (though a few products have tried adding it in ad-hoc ways, without documenting their efforts)

Click on the 'Export from PDF' on the right hand side and then click on 'Select Files'
Select the pdf you wish to convert.

  • Re.problems with translator after converting pdf file.please help:-)

    Please can someone help me.
i've converted a pdf file to a word document but it was a scanned document so word had to translate it but its come out as a load of gibberish.
i have over a hundred pages of corrections to make because of it so i was wondering if any of you could either tell me what i could of done wrong r tell me how to do it right:-)
    thanks a bunch!!!

You cannot use Reader to do what you want. Depending on the language of your original document, you might be able to convert the document from a scan to text with Acrobat Professional.  You can also investigate programs that are dedicated to OCR.

  • Dots are appearing on characters after created PDF through *.dwg file using AutoVue API

    Hi,
I created PDF's through *.dwg file using AutoVue API 20.2.2. I observed in more zoom of PDF, every character or line has dots. At the same time on second page of PDF drawing lines are thicker that first page of PDF.
Please kindly help on this, how to remove dots and drawing lines are published same as on first page.
    Thanks,
    Siva

As with any format that does not support zoomable line thickness, the output is dpi dependent
Imagine the DPI impact on a PDF is similar to the DPI on an image, except you can zoom into the lines, they look smooth (it is vector) but the position for the specific points is not as accurate as it should
So it all boils down to how are you generating the PDF?

  • Smaller PDFs? Adobe X - Using TIFF or PNG files to create PDFs

I received a PDF - 73 pages, black and white - original file size is 2240KB (2MB).  They wanted me to clean it up - so I save as either a TIFF or a PNG at 150 DPI, run each image through a batch process to darken them up (grayscale, soften, adjust curves - using Corel Paintshop Pro - Sorry Adobe), then recombine as a new PDF.  No matter what file type/size I use (TIFF or PNG) or even if I select a smaller output size in the combine PDF it balloons to a 11-12 MB file.  I can optimize it but then I think it takes all the images and JPGs them and they get all blotchy.  Print to PDF was even larger.  The only file that did not balloon up was when I recombine the original TIFFs saved from the original PDF.  Any tips on what to do to make a smaller file size?  Also I will take any other tips on cleaning up PDF quality - the other one we sometimes use is to print and rescan using a setting with higher contrast, but I like manipulating the electronic files better.  Thanks!

Well, yes, that's a terrible way to do it. If it can be done at all. And it would make no difference if "Adobe Photoshop" appeared instead of "Corel whatsisname".
PDF files are generally vector. Rasterising it will lose detail, searchability, quality, and much else.
If they are actually scanned bitmaps you might be able to clean them up using Photoshop as an image editor helper from within Acrobat.
But really, cleanup should take place before making the PDF.

  • How to convert PDF to DWG

i made custom roman numerals in photoshop, one per layer. i import the pdf to AI. i make a object selection and then make it a technical drawing so it outlines the numeral. i then export it to a DWG. when i view the dwg in solidworks eDrawings viewer i notice the rounded corner i had became a few segments making it jagged.
is there a way in AI to add more point to the rounded corners so when i export out the dwg has nice continuous radius on the numeral corners?
    thanks
    Chuck

You don't have to do it on a new layer but it would be better to do it
    that way.
Create the new layer lock the old one and trace over it with the pen
tool. You can use the direct select tool to adjust a curve. while in
the pen tool if the direct select tool was the last selection tool you
had select before you selected the pen tool you can access the direct
select tool temporarily while the pen tool is selected by holding own
the command key on the Mac and the Control Key on Windows when you let
go of the key you will be back in the pen tool you can also access the
convert anchor point tool by holding down the option or alt keys.
Click on the end of the handle of an anchor point with the convert
anchor point tool and you can split the control of the handles for
    that anchor point.
However there is a tracing service and application that would probably
give you much better results and there would probably be little or no
work you would have to do.
    It is vector magic.

  • Do I need to keep my xmp files after converting my raw files to dng?

I originally set up Lr to automatically build xmp files.  Recently, I decided to go with dng files and have converted all my raw files to dng.  Can I now delete all my xmp files and change my Lr setting so xmp files are no longer automatically produced?

    WDKlein1000 wrote:
I think I've got this straight.  My goal is to keep the xmp data with the image file (embedded into the file in the case of dng files) as well as in the Lr catalog.  I still need to auto (or manually) save xmp files in order for Lr to save the xmp data internally to the dng file.  Right?
    Perfectly right.
    WDKlein1000 wrote:
I've been converting to dng after I have done my initial Lr processing of the raw files and the sidecar files have already been produced.  When I convert to dng, the side car files aren't automatically deleted.
I *think* if you say: do not delete previous raw, it keeps both xmp and original raw files. However, if you say: delete original raws upon conversion, it will delete both raw files and xmp sidecars. In other words, they are treated as a unit. So I suspect your raw files are not being deleted either, right? Note: if this is the case, then whenever you sync your folders, it's gonna wanna pull in all the original raws again. If it were me, rather than deleteing the xmp and leaving the sibling raws, I'd move both to a backup.
    WDKlein1000 wrote:
I wonder if the sidecar files would ever be produced if I imported with the option to convert to dng and then wouldn't ever be editting the raw files?
They would not. If you know you are going to prefer DNG, it seems prudent to convert upon import.
    WDKlein1000 wrote:
I know the sidecar files are relatively small, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to go back and delete them once the xmp data is embeded in the dng files.  Right?
    Right again - delete away...

  • FRM-10043: Cannot open file after converting SQL*Form 2.3 INP to 4.5 FMB

After running the f45gen32.exe on a version SQL*Form 2.3 INP file, it generates
the version 4.5 FMB adn the .err file (that does not indicate that any errors have occurred).
When I attempt to open the converted module using Developer 2000 v.1.3, it continuously
    indicates the following error:
    FRM-10043: Cannot open file
This error is received despite selecting all the required conversion parameters (per metalink and
other notes found on this forum).
This is a conversion of SQL*Forms version 2.3 to 4.5, with the ultimate goal of converting to 6i.
The same process works with other forms.?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have a workaround for this issue?
Is Developer 2000 v.1.3 the incorrect version to use?
    Thank you for your assistance.
