Country dropdown in Address disabled

Hello,
we are using the ESS scenario address to allow the employees to change the permanent residence address as well as add an emergency address. But the system doesn't allow to add an address outside the default country (eg. CH employee can only have a CH address). The system doesn't allow to choose another country, the field is disabled.
I didn't find any customizing in SPRO which allows me to change this; the backend system allows to choose the country, but not the portal.
How can we make the field enabled so the employee can choose another country?
We are using the release ECC6.0 (backend), Netweaver 7.0 (portal).

This functionality was released as part of enhancement pack 3. It comes delivered as a business function and needs to be activated which will open the IMG nodes for configuration. Make sure to check for OSS notes for Foreign Address as there are quite a few that may need to be implemented depending on your current stack level. From the Portal side, you will need to use the Address Iview that come delivered in the folder for Enhancement Pack 3.

Change the country in the upper left. - and click on Purchases, billing and redemption to proceed.

Add Country dropdown list in custom B2C application

Hi,
Please help me in providing a dropdown input field to list all countries in custom b2c application.
I tried using the reference of country dropdown field provided in customer registration form after(i.e register.inc.jsp) but not working.
Could you please help with the code in JSP, java script associated or other alternative?

I copied and replaced the field name with 'country' in the java script related and in the html with script code. I remembered that I forgot to populate the country list in the action class earlier.
But after doing that I get null in the dropdown. Trying to debug but unable to. the control doesn't stop at that breakpoint in the custom class
I'm using country list with some other custom fields that are just input fields along with date fields that has calender options.
I need only country list in my custom jsp.

Are you trying to print from iPhoto on your Mac or iPad/iPhone? If you are trying to print form yor Mac, check, if the Print Products Store in the iPhoto Preferences > Advanced is set to U.K.
Also the bimmling address, Delivery address, the country for your AppleID and Credit Card must all be in the same country. Check this document:

Country DropDown List (Auto-suggest)

I would like to create a dropdown list of countries that auto-suggests the countries as you type. For example, if you type in "A" , it will suggest all countries that begin with an "A", if you type "Au" ... all the countries that begin with "Au" will be suggested, and so on. Right now, my country dropdown suggests the country only after you click the down arrow and capitalize the first letter. Is there a way to automatically suggest the country as you type (so you dont have to click the arrow or capitalize the first letter). Thanks!!

I remember seeing this as well. If memory serves me correctly, I had to go back and ensure my keyboard/language/region(time) settings all matched and then the country appeared.

I'm stuck on a simple script to add a certain country to every contact that hasn't one in my Address Book.
This is the code at the core:

The log however shows a 'missing value' every time I want to get the country of an address. How can I fix this?

That's correct - there is a difference between 'missing value' (no value recorded) and "" (an empty string).
The solution is simple - check for 'missing value' - rather obscurely, 'missing value' is an AppleScript keyword used just for that purpose:
  if (country of thisAddress) is missing value then
    set country of thisAddress to "My Country"
  end if

I am using country version 99 and working on new Implementation of ESS on ECC6.0.
Can any body help me with the following:
- I am not able to Change/Create Country Field in Address from ESS
I got the solution. I need to do the Following:
- viekn field in IT0003 ishould not be empty
- Need to work on report RPUFACEVIEKN and the feature IVWID

Dropdown of address bar transparent.

The address bar dropdown gets transparent. Doesn't happen all the time but a bit frequently.
The hardware accelaration of the browser is already disabled.
It still happens with diabled add-ons mode.

Does anyone know of a web page or software (free) that will identify the location (country) of an IP address? I used to know of a website but lost the bookmark.

You can try the Network Utility in OS X. Open the Network Utility (iin the Utilities folder). Click the lookup tab and select any/all information in the dropdown menu. Enter the IP address you want to lookup and click lookup.

TP 60 Access connection - Preferred AP MAC address disabled permanently

I have at home WiFi Router and WiFi repeater. They both are visible, but Router has weak signal, Repeater strong signal. TP not like to connect to Repeater. Problem, that preferred AP MAC address field is always disabled in Connection wizard (profile).

You can only ship to the same country as the billing address of the credit card used.

How to select a different country in ESS Address information

in ESS Personal Information Address iView, our employees need to be able to maintain foreign addresses and select from differenet countries in the country drop down.
We performed the IMG customization step "Personnel Management->Employee Self Services->Service Specific Settings->Own Data->Foreig Address Setting->Determine countries for foreign address and make settings." And we are using the Address iView located under the International PCD folder.
however, when we log in to ESS, the country screen field of the Address iView is read-only, employees cannot select a different country than their own. Anything I am doing wrong?

Let me mention how this works
"Employees can maintain a foreign address using the country field on the
Edit screen. This is enabled if an employee creates a new record. When
an employee selects a foreign country in which to maintain an address,
the country-specific views (Edit view, Review view) change to correspond
to that country. If a country-specific address format does not exist for
the selected country, international address views are used.
Remark: Employees cannot change the country for an existing address!
Maintenance of foreign addresses is only allowed in case a new address
is entered or address changes are made for the same country."
Also make sure business function is enabled by SFW5 HCM_ESS_CI_1
VIEKN is availlable in Pa0003
ensure this is maintained T7XSSPERFORADD as well

Can I batch-change country names in Address Book?

I want to change all my country names to CAPITALS in Address Book. Is there a way to do this using a batch-change or batch-edit of some kind? (I have thousands of entries that I want to change.)

No, sorry, there is no such feature in Address Book. Perhaps a third-party contact application would have that feature.
