Country Issue
I was trying to use my Playbook to watch the Daily Show, while traveling and getting the feed from my bluetooth-connect Blackberry phone. The website refused to display the video because they thought I was not in the United States. Is there a setting on the Blackberry/Playbook I should reset? As far as I can tell, both devices say they are in the U.S. ... thanks.
No, he's connected to his BlackBerry for data service. BlackBerry data plans go through RIM's NOC in Canada. If you check the IP address when browsing a website with a BlackBerry it comes through as one of RIM's IP addresses, registered in Canada. If the website blocks Canadian IP's from viewing something it will likely block the BlackBerry. I assume you'd get the same error message with just the BlackBerry too (without the Playbook even in the loop).

Your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. Thursday I upgraded from a premium to a family plan. However, when the other person is trying to use the token to access her invitation, she's told that she isn't in the same country as the owner (me.) My display shows me in the USA, hers shows hers in the US. We're in the same household and the same zip code has been entered...this issue is very frustrating.

We have following situation: sales org in country NL with plants in country BE and country GB.
We do not use plants abroad as this is currently not an option.
When a sales order is created for plant BE (delivering plant BE), the tax departure country is set to BE which is correct.
However when a sales order is created for plant GB (delivering plant BE or GB), the tax departure country is set to NL which is incorrect.
While manually changing the tax departure country to GB, we received a message that no GB VAT registration number was maintained for company code NL. After adding the GB VAT registration number to the NL company code, we still do receive NL instead of GB.
Any ideas of what else needs to be checked or customized?

All plants BE, NL and GB are assigned for tax determination.
As for the sales tax identification number determination the value for the NL sales org is set to A (tax number and tax classification are taken from the sold-to party. The tax number is taken according to the 'tax country of destination).
In my case this would still be GB.
What is striking to me is that setup for plants BE and GB seems similar, but the result isn't.

Mulple accounts on one iPad.. Unresolvable country issue?
I keep having to switch iTunes stores (iTunes Canada / iTunes US) while installing apps. Some are tied to my US account, some to my newer Canada account. Is the a way to reset "country-of-origin" or integrate these different accounts?
It's not a bug. That's the way iTunes accounts work. Updates can only be obtained when logged in to the same account from which those particular apps were obtained. Updates are actually not updates and what you're doing is downloading newer versions of those apps. That's why the old ones appear in the thrash can after you're done updating. I have the same problem as I have both UK and US iTunes accounts. There is no other way around it as far as I'm aware.

I'm trying to add a new contact directly in my Ipod touch, w/ January update. When I get to the address, it is where it falls apart, the country is Malaysia. Unfortunately, countries are ony selectable, not editable, from what I can tell.
Apple phone support didn't know how to do this either. Many countries in Asia are not included in the selection list. The same goes from many countries in the rest of the world. Any ideas here? Why is this? What can be done? Thx.Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.

Leave the country blank, then enter it on your PC. It will be synced back correctly.

Can't Upgrade to Mavericks, 10.7.5, 2009 MBA, country issue suspected.
Mac OS X, 10.7.5 on a late 2009 Macbook Air.
All Sofware updates have been installed. Clicking the 'Free Upgrade' button in the app store change the button automatically to green 'Install App' button. Clicking on the 'Green Install App' button causes a few seconds of "Activity" by the App Store window then nothing happens. Mavericks does not show up in the 'Purchases' or 'Updates' tab.
This may be related to the fact that I am currently in Grenada and my App Store account is Canadian, possibly? I tried switching to the App store but my Apple ID does not let me make purchases/downloaded from the Grenadian app store and automatically redirects me to Canada. Will be in Canada for the next 6 weeks.Instead of downloading from the App Store, try OS X Recovery.
Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys.
From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to reinstall OS X.

Changing itunes store country issue
When trying to change store countires it tells me i cant because i ahve at least one completed pass outstading? I have some downloads that i bought but dont want to download them anymore how can i get rid of them off my account?
In order to change countries you have to bring the balance on your account to zero. You will either have to use the downloads or write to Apple and ask them to remove them (I doubt they can credit them to you so you will lose them).

E90 Communicator Keyboard country issue
Hi all,
I am living in Shanghai CHina and recently bought in HKG a Noka E90.
It has the English style QWERTY keyboard, however some buttons are assigned to Germn character.
Examples:
the "y" on the keyboardbecomes a "z"
the "<" becomes a ","
the ";" becomes a "oe"
and so on.
I googled for a solution and also browsed through the Nokia sites but could not find anything.
Can anyone please help.

I purchased 4 songs from an album of an American artist that I liked and since then decided I wanted to complete the album on iTunes as opposed to buy it from say Amazon.
But now I can't get that album on the UK store, because it has suddenly been deemed only available in the US store. I doubt there's much anyone can do but it's just so stupid. I'll ask anyway, how can I get this album on the UK store? Do I have to start contacting multitudes of people who aren't going to reply or what?
This is why iTunes and Apple angers me so much. So inconvenient half the time, just when they have something good going. -.- May not even be their fault but tough luck really.

Get a grip on the anger. If one online store has what you want and another doesn't, buy from the one that does. Next time it may be the other way around. That is how the consumer benefits from the fact that online music retailing is a competitive business.
There is absolutely no reason not to buy from multiple stores, according to who has the price, selection, and convenience around what you are looking for. Most online music stores (including amazon.com, as you mention) sell in MP3 format, which is compatible with iTunes/iPod and just about every other player and program. -
Hello, I'm Italian, I bought a movie on iTunes for an American dear friend of mine. When he logged in, he couldn't download it. The message was "Error. This code is only valid for customers of the Italy store". Is there anyway to fix this and get a code which is ok in the US too?
I relly would like my friend to get my gift and, of course, I would hate losing the money.

I would like to know if Apple is planning to add more African countries to its list of Itunes Store countries (and if so aproximately when).
NYC or in London.
Here is my issue. I have moved from London to Abidjan (Ivory Coast) over a year ago and my foreign bank cards have recently expired which means any payments with these are now impossible. I will get my new cards during my next trip to the UK in 6 months.
I have been trying to make several purchases and most recently to upgrade from Mac OS 10.6.8 to OS X Mountain Lion but I can't because it is currently impossible to change the Itunes Store country to IVORY COAST/ Cote d'Ivoire (from the United Kingdom).
To top it off, although it is now possible to make iTunes payments trough www.clickandbuy.com (was excited and went through the process of setting up, verifying and prefunding a Clickandbuy account to make my OS X Mountain Lion payment) iTunes refuses a payment if the country of the credit/debit card registered with Clickandbuy (Ivory Coast) is different from that of the iTunes store country (United Kingdom).
This is a huge disappointment because I fail to understand why one would use Click and Buy or Paypal or ay other similar secured online payment service to make a payment in Itunes if one can use iTunes directly. What was the point of adding Click and Buy as a mean of payment in the first palce? and if they were able to verify my account, then why can't Apple do the same especially when I am an existing client?
Seriously this means Apple customers from certain African countries are being discriminated, if I was based in Cotonou or Accra, I would be allowed to change my store to Benin or Ghana and make payments with a local credit card. This is not fair.
Apple pls you have to do something about this Country issues in the iTunes Store!

How to fetch certificates issued in past
Hi,
I have a long list of templates issued in my Client's Issuing CA, some of them are not in use. If I try to export " Issued Certificates" list from CA, it hangs.
I want to know how many certificates and last certificate issed from a specific template for fine-tuning and seggregation purpose. Please let me know how we can check that status.

The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations.
